We really, really appreciated the pick-up and drop-off service from/to the airport, the breakfast was delicious and we instantly felt at home. We can also recommend to eat at the direct neighbor's private restaurant who cooks upon request only for guests. Certainly recommended!

The property was very clean, with nice comfortable beds and all what you need in the kitchen. The breakfast was great and the common area is nicely decorated with useful things like a big map of Guatemala, games , etc. the staff is very friendly and accommodating . The location is perfect and very close to the airport and with security too. It was a great experience and I will definitely go back and recommend.

We stayed at casa quetzal before our flight from Guatemala City airport. It is very close to the airport and a very convenient location. The hosts are husband and wife which gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly. We stayed in a private room which was very clean and had lots of space. It was possible to order food to the door that made our stay very comfortable. Even though our flight was very early they made us a nice breakfast before we had to leave and brought us to the airport afterwards. After we checked in I got a message that I forgot my apple AirPods… which I was very heartbroken about. Without me even asking they offered to look for a shipping method. A day later they told me there was someone staying in the hotel that would fly to the Netherlands in 3 weeks. This is the most hospitality I’ve experienced in a long time and am very thankful for the help I got with getting my AirPods back. So thank you so much casa quetzal. I would 100% recommend staying at your place!!

Everything was perfect. Sophie was super friendly and helpful to take me from airport to hotel. She was one of the the best host I’ve ever met. This hotel was so traditional colonial style with elegant decorations and relax atmosphere. Breakfast was simple but good quality. Actually it’s better than photos on the website and I’m so glad I made a great decision. If I come to Quatemala city again, I will stay here again.

RIO HOSTEL ligger i Guatemala, 2,6 km fra Popol Vuh-museet, 2,8 km fra Guatemala Nationalpaladset og 6,8 km fra Miraflores-museet. Der er have, terrasse og bar. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The breakfast is basic but pretty good, and they also sell lunches for only 30 quetzals. Towels, additional blankets, and locks for the lockers can be requested at no cost. Laundry service (additional cost) has very fast turnaround times, usually less than 4 hours. The little front yard area is beautiful and nice to hang around in. The neighborhood is safe and you can find basically anything you need within walking distance. And again, staff was very nice and helpful; I stayed there for over two weeks and saw them patiently explaining how to get places or just giving travelers suggestions.
