Half a day is all it takes to spend in styer .. it looks like the town is one major old street from the middle ages , some coffee place and general shopping. The big attractions is the place where the two rivers merge . It's unique and beautiful

Steyr is a wonderful small town, with plenty to see.
Steyr is a wonderful small town, with plenty to see. Lots of beautiful nature, but also the incredible old town center. It's really easy to get around on foot, with lots of walkable streets and alleys to discover. I was really impressed by the beautiful architecture of the old catholic churches, which were absolutely breathtaking on the inside. The only thing I would prepare for better next time around is the everchanging weather. A good pair of waterproof shoes, an umbrella and layered clothing for easy removal is a must.

The lovely old town is full of character.
The lovely old town is full of character. Plenty of pleasant strolls possible. We would have enjoyed some cultural offering, but we noted that the few concerts performed in Steyr are fairly rare. We were there on a Monday, which is not a good day anywhere for concerts, but our checking showed that even on other days we would have been lucky indeed to find a performance.

Steyr is one of the old historic towns of Austria.
Steyr is one of the old historic towns of Austria. It´s beautifully located along the River Enns. It´s certainly worth a visit and you can easily spend a nice day or two exploring the town and its surroundings! It´s only a short drive of approximately 40 km from Linz, which is the seat of Upper Austria.
Very nice and modern hotel, front office are very friendly, meet you with a big smile and warm welcome and great to see that they are speaking multi language so they can help better, I had my check-in with Hungarian speaking young man, unfortunately I couldn't catch his name but he gave me a smooth and easy check-in, warm welcome with nice smile, he was very professional, rooms are cleaning, fast response, breakfast was great, overall it was great experience and sure we will be back
Room basic but comfy enough and clean. Wifi very good which was important for me to do business meetings. Location perfect, in town centre on high street. Hotel restaurant absolutely superb, meals to a very high standard with a mix of traditional and modern dishes. Staff were lovely, all spoke good English and did everything they could to help and make the stay comfortable. Will definitely use again
We likes this hotel a lot, most noticeable the friendly staff, the great breakfast and the location. If you like to grab a drink after you arrive here its right in front of the hotel. And although our room was at the same side there was no noise.
Upon arrival we were upgraded to the suite which was a very special gift. Honestly this room is the biggest I have ever been in in a hotel.
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and was very satisfied. The hotel staffs were all friendly and kind, and they always did their best to satisfy my needs. The room was very quiet, clean and very well organized, with everything I needed and nothing I didn't need. Toilet and bathroom were also good to use, and bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was simple, but tasty.
I loved my stay at the hotel, the view and localization - amazing! The receptionist - super helpful and smart! Breakfast was good, too. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the feel this hotel has. It is not a modern, luxurious and therefore - dull and uninteresting hotel - on a contrary, it perseveres its soul and vintage vibe. Definitely coming back here!
Welcoming small and friendly guesthouse in a quiet part of Steyr. Our hostess told us of a pleasant and easy way to walk to the old town. Thunderstorms and a torrential downpour led us to stay in the guesthouse for an evening meal. We were glad we did. Good wholesome food at really value for money prices. We could not have enjoyed our stay more.
The thing I liked the most was the helpfulness of the staff. They came out of the hotel and showed us the right parking place near the hotel and most importantly they picked up all the luggage and helped them to bring everything upstairs. We were very pleased about the kindness and support we got from the staff. Thank you.
Absolutely the best place to stay in Steyr. Above else great people and service, a fabulous location - and the most beautiful view facing the confluence. Great breakfast with a spectacular view. I've been traveling to Steyr for 12 years now - and I choose to stay in Minichmayer.
Very comfortable rooms in a charming location. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, evening meal was very good. I had a room at the back, the rooms on the other side (river side?) have a balcony and great views.
I stay at Mader quite a lot for work and the hotel itself is very nice. Excellent food, very friendly staff and most of the rooms have all the necessary facilities to make you comfortable and the location is perfect.
Excellent location
Staff is friendly, well informed and availible
Location of hotel is perfect in the middle of the city of Steyr
Great communications via train to Vienna
Cosy small city with a heart
Excellent breakfast and the main restaurant is good quality. Very friendly staff and they all speak English. Did I say very picturesque location in the Steyr main street (Stadplatz). Home from home for me.
Room is very modern, great facilities and comfortable. I travel for business and after trying out most of the local hotels Harry's will be my first choice depending on availability.
Wonderful Hotel with great rooms, nice rooftop and perfect location. You have a 5 minutes walk into the city. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms are spacious and clean.
The hotel has an excellent location. The garage under the building was very convenient. The room was big and attractive. The bathroom was big and well equipped.
