The nicest part of Devonport was along the river and to the beach. The headland walk from the Surf Club and to the lighthouse was beautiful. The cafe at the Devonport Surf Club was really nice, the staff were very friendly and the coffee was excellent - 10/10.

We liked everything about Devonport.
We liked everything about Devonport. We had an evening meal at the Argosy and lunch at Banjos in the mall. Finding places around Devonport was easy and parking was very good. Lovely views of the Mersey River and beaches from lots of areas. The Antique Emporium and garden centres were excellent.

We love visiting Devonport.
We love visiting Devonport. It is a clean, tidy town and has all the facilities we need. It is also a great point to go out to places from, for example Tasmazia, Chudleigh, towns and beaches along the northern coast of Tasmania just to name a few.

We based ourselves in Devonport as we were visiting the coast area there We did travel south to do a bit of site seeing about Hobart etc. We travelled over and back on the Ferry which was a short 5 minute drive.
You can see most of the coast attractions an easy 45 minute drive from Devonport. Tasmania has excellent playgrounds for kids
Spend the money and get an Ocean View room, it is so worth it!
Buffet breakfast was really good. Bacon, eggs, toast, mushrooms, baked beans, cereal, juice, tea, coffee, fruit, yogurt.
Great location near the shopping mall.
Great view of the Spirit of Tasmania arriving/departing.
Walking track by the river very close and picturesque.
Rather than valet parking ($25 a night) we opted to park up the road in the local car park (info provided by Novotel). After 6pm it's $2 until 8:30am the next morning so very economical.
The breakfast provided was fantastic from fresh local eggs Bacon beautiful freshly baked bread Selection of Muesli and Juice was the perfect way to start the day of Adventure. The location was just far enough away from the main town to enjoy peace and quiet but close enough to walk if you so desired and the History of the building added that extra charm.
Its the details that Yvonne and Glen have provided that make this stay exceptional thank you!
Brendan and Paul were so lovely; they made our stay even better. From a wonderful cooked breakfast, made to order, to the free port and sherry in the guest lounge, to the large supremely comfortable king bed and the great balcony overlooking Devonport, to the friendliness of our hosts (Brendan going above and beyond by giving us a lift to our dinner reservation at Mrs Jones), it was a perfect stay!
The location was perfect. We liked the privacy & the fact you were a sharing a kitchen & bathroom cause you weren't feeling that isolated but had a lot of privacy. The price was very affordable & impressive for what you got. The surroundings of nature & animals was tastefully available if you like nature and we would recommend this place to other couples.
I was totally blown away by the standard of cleanliness and set up of the hole accommodation. . The bed , seats where all very comfortable . I had friend pop in to visit us on our stay and she was totally amazed by the hole seat up. Will be recommending to anyone that will be heading to Devonport for a stay . 10/10
It was only. short drive from The Spirit of Tasmania Ferry. The reception was open, friendly and waiting to greet not only us but other travellers from the ferry in spite of the late hour. There was parking available behind and to the side of the hotel which was appreciated. The room was a good side and very clean.
Clean hotel, comes with fridge toaster and other essentials which was handy! We stayed here before leaving in the morning for spirit of Tassie. Check out process was easy. Hotel is on waterfront and is walkable distance to restaurants and supermarket. Walking track right out front. Staff were super helpful.
The beds were surprisingly comfortable considering it was pub accommodation. The staff in the pub and the cleaners were so accommodating and friendly. Location was a short walk from the city centre and across the road from the water and boat, The Spirit of Tasmania.
Also parking in front of your room.
Very clean and comfortable hotel in a central location. Beds were comfortable and it has all the facilities. Ordered dinner and breakfast for room service which was quick and the food was very good. Staff were very friendly.
We had breakfast in the cafe. It was excellent and coffee was great.
It was close to the port which was the reason we chose to stay here as we were travelling on the Spirit of Tas
Location near the river was good. We could watch the spirit of tasmania come and go. It was near the beach making for a pleasant walk. An IGA was within a reasonable distance.
Standard motel room in good condition. Close to Tasmanian ferry for morning departures. There is a hotel bistro next door, we didn't use it, but it is available.
Exceptional experience and hospitality. It is totally different experience from normal hotel. Too many things you can explore there. Strongly recommended.
