The restaurants offer great local cuisine and an impressive selection of beers.
But what really makes this place stand out is the friendly people. They are knowledgeable about the local area and can recommend places to visit and things to do.
Overall Plzeň is a great place to stay. It offers a unique experience for beer lovers and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I would say 2 days and 2 nights is enough to go around the city and visit the main attractions, you can literally walk everywhere. If you don't speak czech, at least half the places have english speaking staff. Try to avoid the fancy restaurants in the city centre and go try some local food outside the touristy areas, have your translator in hand and order your food just pointing at the menu, staff will be very undestanding (always carry some cash as card payments are not available everywhere)

An absolutely gorgeous town with lots of history.
An absolutely gorgeous town with lots of history. It's nice to walk around, admiring the colourful buildings, but the Adolf Loos apartment tours are really worth it for anyone interested in architecture.
Very easy to get around, the trams are really cheap as well.
The Le Frenchie cafe on the main square serves obscenely nice cakes but there are many other places serving many different cuisines.
Also, worth trekking out of town to visit the Bohemia Sekt brewery where you can go on a tour and wine taste.

Plzeň is not the first choice of many going to Czechia.
Plzeň is not the first choice of many going to Czechia. However its a lovely town, easily walked.
Most of the stuff is around the town square with the magnificent St Bartholomews church.
Plenty of good cafes and restaurants abound - but some are small and hidden away so go looking!
Its a fun, interesting town for a few days - and do not miss the Pilsen Brewery Tour which is well worth a visit!

Plzen is quiet and a pleasant town.
Plzen is quiet and a pleasant town. You can easily walk around and the train station is easily accessible. There are not a lot of taxis, but there is access to BOLT & UBER. We used BOLT successfully a couple of times. The town center has a nice church, shops, where you can buy food or Bohemian crystal etc., a library and cafes. The tour of the Pilsen 1842 beer factory is a must. It's fun and lasts 2 to 3 hours. A generous free sample at the end of the tour in the underground cellars. We stayed just just across the river, so we could walk to shops and the train station.

A uniqe city with an uncoverd amazing history that almost everybody in the world knows something connected with the City of Pilsen, but almost nobody knows, that it comes from Pilsen or that it is historicaly connected with Pilsen. Go there, find some information about this city, enjoy the city with its surrounding area and feel the atmosphere of this uniqe place!
Check in was faultless, with the host present , explaining every facet and features of the property in question. Property was clean and had all features expected and more. The welcome drink was a nice gesture and very much appreciated. These hosts deserve their ten rating totally. I would go out of my way to book another stay at DaFi Apartmán if ever I am in Czech Republic. Keep up the great work gentlemen. Thank you our stay with you was a pleasure. Others in Pilsen should follow your example.
Best hotel in Plzen. The room was very well equipped and location central. Everyone at the reception was very helpful but special mention goes to Nathalie for fixing my transport to the event the whole weekend and back to Prague. Also, if you are lucky to experience the breakfast in the morning, Akhi will ensure to meet your needs with the food and coffee. His dedication to each of the guests makes the whole experience a 5 stars. I will definitely come back next time in Plzen
The room was of a very good size. The bathroom was well kept and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was very convenient - all of the main sights were in a walking distance. It was quiet and the blinds were good enough for sleeping until late morning. The staff was very helpful. Bonus - you can have some freshly squeezed juice with your breakfast. If we ever visit Pilsen again, we're definitely staying at Hotel Plzen.
Hotel is situated outside of the city center, in Industrial part of the town. But this hotel can be reached by trolley. Also parking a car is not a problem there is enough space for your car or a bus. There is also Tesla chargers on hotel parking lot. Hotel offers breakfast, and you can buy dinner here also. Dinner Menu is simple but everyone can find something. Rooms are simple and clean.
The staff are really nice and try to accommodate any requests you have. The hotel location is perfect. The rooms are spotless and clean. The breakfast is good (we needed a plant-based milk and they provided it). The Wifi was good. The hotel is quiet.
Just a note if you are sensitive to street noise you might want to ask for rooms which are facing the backyard.
Reception staff nice - check in no problems, 2 key cards provided which is always helpful
Fridge with minibar including water, pepsi, chips etc.
Breakfast was lovely
Minibar - you just take what you want and fill in list - pay on check out - great system for this
Nice location - southern edge of Plzen, quiet, edge of countryside, also still on edge of town
The hotel is ideally located for a stopover: easily accessible by car, yet you can reach the city center by bus in 15 minutes.
We had a room on the back side which was very quiet, even with the windows open. The person at the reception was initially a bit cold then upon reading our filled registration form proceeded with a big smile in perfect french.
Close to Pilsen’s main attractions - main square, brewery museum and entry to the underground tunnels tour, Plzen Urquell brewery visitor center tour and more. Enjoyed the Plzen brewery fest with many people enjoying beer and street food. Very comfortable underground parking in the hotel.
This place is just great!
- Close to the highway but in a quiet location
- Room was exceptionally big (even had a mini kitchen corner and a huge balcony!)
- Hotel staff is definitely the highlight, very attentive and friendly, they even organized just for me an early warm breakfast!
Hotel is a few minutes from highway (from Prague). It has parking and the restaurant with great food, especially traditional Czech meals.
Rooms are spacious, with fridge, flapt screen and little office. Everything is exceptionaly clean.
Hotel is 20 minutes walk from centre.
Cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Right on the square overlooking the Basilica. Clean, great breakfast, friendly helpful staff, and total value for money. If thinking of Plzen for a stay, this place is absolutely a must for your accommodation.
For about 10 years I visit plzen on a regular basis. Continental had the best beds and bathrooms so far. Interieur design of the rooms could be a bit more detailed yet a good stay. Can recommend:)
Breakfast was excellent and above our expectations. The hotel is located next to one of Pilsen's railway stations and near public transport stops. The city centre is a walking distance away.
Excellent place! Modern clean room and kind loyal staff made our weekend stay just perfect :) If come back to Plzen another time, will probably choose this hotel once again.
We've been to this hotel 3 times now and have always enjoyed our stay. The location is great. Within walking distance to many restaurants and a shopping mall
