The city is small but very elegant.
The city is small but very elegant. The main attraction are the baths, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage transnational site. It is recommended to visit during the spring season as the beautiful riverside parks will be at the height of their beauty, but the Christmas market is also drawing lots of interest.
The city centre is realtively small, with the main shops in the lower area and the historic section with lots of scenic views on the hill overlooking the river Oos and the baths area. Excellent public transport is available for trips to nearby locations.
Special mention for the Frieder Burda museum.

The town is very relaxing and offers hiking, biking, sightseeing and of course the spa and casino. We took a free tour of the casino, which was informative and not too long, 45min. The spa is a must otherwise why go to Baden-Baden! There are two options, and they are completely different in what they offer so best to read up on them. If you want any treatments book early as they go fast on weekends. There area is beautiful and there are a lot of walking/hiking/biking opportunities to enjoy so plan on getting out from the downtown and head up into the forest. The Black Forest is less than an hour away for any day trips as well as Strasbourg. Train service is an option.

We used Baden Baden as a base of operations for seeing areas further north along the Rhine and further east in the Black Forest, and it's a charming town though of course very much an upscale shopping mecca (which is not really our thing). Now that I've seen the town I'm realizing we could well have stayed an extra night and seen some additional historic castles and other sites, and I for one (though not my husband) would have enjoyed a day at the spa!
This is one of our favorite hotels because of the excellent staff and the location. From check in to housekeeping to breakfast servers, the people at Hotel Beek are very welcoming. We love the location across from Caracalla Spa which is the reason we visit Baden-Baden. This is an older hotel and there is no air-conditioning so summer stays can get warm; however, the hotel thoughtfully provides a fan in the room. Breakfast has a good variety and eggs cooked to order. We recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Baden-Baden
Everything, the location allows you to take in the hustle and bustle of Baden-Baden and then relax in the serenity of your apartment. Great views and modern decor in this unit makes it an absolute jem in this already beautiful part of Germany. Our hostess Ellen took care of everything and treated us like an extended part of her family.
Great value for the money. We use vacation rentals whenever we vacation Canada and we're not used to this type of hospitality. Thanks again so much Ellen!!
The breakfast was alright, but you have to ask the staff if you want fried eggs or coffee. The room was okay but looked a bit old. Lowering the blinds was a little hard but we figured it out. It's easy to park here if you come by car. We found lots of parking space in early February. The whole hotel has a German charm to it, simple and strong with its own beauty. It feels like it has a big history, with many tourists having visited before us and many more to come after us.
Lovely hotel with bright rooms that are well laid out with thoughtful details. There’s a fan for the warmer summer months that cooled the space to a pleasant sleeping temperature. Staff were friendly and helpful (despite my lack of German) and breakfast was fabulous with great coffee and the option of freshly cooked hot options and a robust continental breakfast. It’s a great location that’s quiet but close to everything.
Hotel was in a great location, an easy walk to town but also in a quiet neighborhood, we loved the peace and quiet of the park area outside our balcony. Room was very clean and spacious. Bathrooms were in great working order. Balcony was wonderful, and we loved the bottle of water in the room after checking in on a hot summer day. Loved the easy access to the parking lot and garage.
We stayed in the apartment, and it was huge! We also had breakfast, which was varied and delicious. Hotel is located near both the Friedrichsbad and the Caracalla Spa. Best of all, the owner arranged for us to have a parking space right across from the hotel, which is not an easy feat in Baden Baden. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is potentially beautiful but a bit dated. Nonetheless, it is very clean and comfortable. Our room was really big and spacious and the bathroom is nearly done. Location is great, walking distance from everything. This hotel has great potentials, I believe it used to be a luxury hotel in the olden days. It’s got a lot of charme.
Very friendly and attentive staff. They always seemed to go an extra step to make sure you feel comfortable and looked after. Nice breakfast - could choose your hot meal. The hotel is situated by a small river, a walking distance to beautiful Geroldsauer waterfall. A bit outside of Baden-Baden - better to have a car here.
Met the usual high-standards of Holiday Inn hotels in Germany. Close to the center of the town and conveniently on the main bus route to the station (which is 2 - 3 miles from the center). Baden-Baden was delightful even in February: we must return in the summer!
Baden Baden is stunning and the hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were helpful and friendly and the room large
Car parking was free but given the high temperature we opted for cool garage to keep wine cool - this was an additional charge but worth it
Hotel Belle Epoque was amazing--the location is great and the property is really nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast spread is substantial! The staff is also very friendly and willing to help with any questions.
We had a large room with a high ceiling, so although it wasn’t air conditioned it was comfortable with just a fan. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel had an interesting history as it was the site of Germany’s first cigarette factory.
A pure luxury hotel all around. Great location next to the Casino and the downtown area. The Spa and and the pool are amazing. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.
The hotel is in a great location. It is easy to access all of downtown Baden-Baden on foot, whether the shopping or the thermes. The staff are wonderful and the room was comfortable and quiet.
