Host was caught off guard by my confirmed Booking com reservation. Property manager didn't send check-in info to me in a timely manner. It was a non-refundable reservation. Apartment had no electricity, no water, no gas, no towels, no wifi upon arrival. It took time and phone calls and hassle to remedy. I received no compensation for this terrible experience. I am very disappointed.

A wonderful town, in particular the citadel on top of the hill, it's a historic fortress with tiny little roads and a wonderful view from the top. I'd recommend to stay in Colle Val D'Elsa rather than in San Gimignano as it's much quieter and less touristy place (unless of course you love the tourist buzz). If not staying overnight, I'd definitely recommend to add a half day trip to Colle Val D'Elsa to your itinerary, maybe accompanied by a quick visit to a small castle of Monteriggioni nearby and a dinner there at Ristorante Il Feudo https://www.ilfeudomonteriggioni.it/, the truffle tart there was AMAZING :-) Enjoy!

Nice city, historical facilities and local restaurants.
Nice city, historical facilities and local restaurants. Also a great point for visiting other attractions in Tuscany.
Enough free parking spaces. Visited several good restaurants and had great coffee and pastries at Pasticceria Mario Barone at a good price.

Colle Val D'Elsa surprised me with its old town, silence and cleanliness. No tourist traffic, two museums (we visited a crystal glass factory one), a medieval atmosphere, a few cosy restaurants, and great views of Tuscany from the city walls. The winery ,,Enoteca" in the town is excellent, not only do they offer wine, but they also have snacks and hot traditional food, which really made a good impression. The famous San Gimignano is just 14km away and is also very worth a visit and a return to the peaceful Val d'Elsa for night's sleep :)

Great location, amazing for 'daily trips' really close to many other places in the Tuscany area.
The rooms are clean and quite big, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower is excellent.
Breakfast was great and in the hotel area, there are some nice restaurants and bars, we loved walking to the historic center, and
the location is perfect close to best places to visit in Tuscany. The pool absolutely exceptional. Everything is very well thought through in this hotel. We are planning to come back for longer period and discover more about Tuscany. 4 days is not enough. Thank you to the staff and see you again.
We had an amazing time. The hotel is beautifully decorated. The location is fantastic. The breakfast amazing, and we were able to enjoy it on the patio. We took a break day here while walking the via Francigena and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stop and rest for a day.
We stayed 6 nights, used as a base to visit the area. Best place to stay in our opinion. The host was wonderful, the apartment was excellent and was perfect for our needs. If you get the chance stay here do so because if we come back to this area of Italy we would like to return.
We had breakfast in the main hotel which was only two doors away from our entrance. Excellent selection of yoghurts, bread, cakes meat, cheese, fruit and more.
We stayed in one of the apartments so we had plenty of space with a little kitchen and a very comfortable bed.
The property itself is beautiful, traditional Tuscan farm buildings converted to a lovely hotel. The staff were excellent, the food delicious, the hotel grounds large and like being on a country estate. And it was right on the via Francigena which we were walking.
I had a wonderful two-night stay at this charming agrotourism hotel. The owner, Maria, was incredibly nice, and I absolutely adored their Labrador dog, Arya. The place had a cute Tuscan style, and their own wine was delicious. Highly recommended!
Amazing location at the top of a hill with great views and atmosphere. The staff was the most welcoming and service minded people I've ever met at a hotel, and through the few days it felt like they made an effort to know their guests.
An exceptionally friendly staff with their hotel in the heart of Tuscany. Close to many of the villages you would like to see. The rooms are large and well appointed. And with a wonderful restaurant right on the premises.
Staff always ready to help, hotel aware of protecting our natural world, instructions written in perfect English, clean rooms, convenient underground parking and good relaxing breakfast !
The owner of this hotel was just great, from the minute we step in until we left, service, service and service. If you needed anything you will get it. Breakfast was great
