Cheweng is extremely busy, very loud, traffic non stop,...
Cheweng is extremely busy, very loud, traffic non stop, walking difficult as pavements very small and uneven and the road too busy to walk on. Prices for food and drink expensive for Thailand. There is however plenty of choice for eating and drinking and for people who want a full on party experience type holiday they certainly won't be disappointed! Beach was very nice however often it wasn't there due to high tides.

Chaweng is a bustling town with some fantastic restaurants offering the most fresh and beautifully presented Thai, and other nationality food you you could want. We stayed 14 nights and ate somewhere and something different each night - all cheaper than McDonalds! Happy hour at any of the many bars and clubs is whatever hour you are there, which makes for a perfectly priced night out!

Having lived in Lamai for a year and been to Samui many...
Having lived in Lamai for a year and been to Samui many times I find Chaweng perfect tempo for a holiday.
Some may find it a bit noisy and adult themed when arriving but after a couple of days you were feel at home and realise it is part of what makes Thailand unique.
Chaweng would be the UK version of a 18-30's holiday but my latest visit was the first as a family and my love for Samui only grew after not being back for 4 years.
The Thais love children and go out of there way to help you with little ones, in fact most of the time you need to ask for them back as they go off and show all there friends etc
If you want more relaxed Lamai is more chilled, if you want more of a european feel stay in and around Fishermans Village.

Probably the liveliest part of Koh Samui.
Probably the liveliest part of Koh Samui. The nightly street market behind the mall is brilliant. Good for shopping and some decent restaurants catering to international tastes.
Good place if you enjoy the drinking and partying scene. “Brits Abroad” style town with loud nightlife, tattoo and weed shops everywhere, etc. We did see many families there too.
The town is walkable but taxi travel on Samui is excruciatingly expensive - most pricy we’ve found in Asia so far.
It really felt like a home, lots of attention to details made it so. I only stayed one night as I was transiting through the island, but I would stay again and it’s clearly a very good long term place to stay. I arrived late so renting a bike to go out wasn’t possible but Tok very kindly lent me his. With breakfast, exceptional service and a relaxed atmosphere I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Koh Samui. During more normal times it’s also in a great location relative to restaurants, beach, airport and nightlife.
From arrival to leaving the trip, hotel and staff were super kind and courteous.
The hotel is a peaceful haven nestled in the main Chaweng beach road.
Perfect as you can have the peace when in the resort but as soon as you step out your in the heart of all the bars and restaurants Chaweng offers.
The staff are the most important part and go out of their way to help, especially being we had a four month old.
Room was superb and we will be going back again.
Special mention to Yao, Jeat & May
Definitely one of my favourite hotels in Koh Samui, the bungalows were very unique and modern with lovely decor.
The pool area was beautiful and the restaurant was lovely with delicious food and lots of different options too also very reasonable prices as i find Koh Samui to be generally more expensive than other islands however this hotel was fairly reasonable considering the quality of the stay, the food, the atmosphere. It has a very luxurious vibe.
the hotel staff is the reason why I try not to make the evaluation only on a negative level. The people here from reception to housekeeping are just amazing. Nice, friendly, thanks to them, we felt good here despite the shortcomings
Furthermore, the location of the resort was perfect for us, it is at the beginning of chaweng beach and it is really quiet, while the area with shops and restaurants is within a 5-minute walk
We had a great stay at this hotel. During our stay the restaurant was closed for renovations but is planned to open soon again which will make the resort even better. Great spot on the beach and close to arranged watersports. The pool is great and not crowded. The staff was very friendly and helped us fast whenever there was a issue. Looking forward to coming back again to this resort in the future.
great location on the beach and opposite the shopping and markets but the resort still felt quiet and peaceful, nice pool, staff very friendly, great food, breakfast was limited but delicious, the hotel offered drinks and straws in recyclable materials. Not many other hotels were doing this so well done to the Malibu as plastic trash is a problem on Chaweng beach.
We would stay again!
it’s beachside property and loved it. so easy to get into the beach. big resort and ample space to be there. I had opted for the too which has fan, AC can be used by paying 200 Bhat extra if needed. they had big fridge in the room which was quite nice.
everyone was humble, they helped me to find cycle
and it was amazing. staff is very very courteous.
resort was gorgeous. Great pool and beach. Food and drinks at the pool and beach bar are slightly more expensive than outside of the resort but that is normal. The rooms had a smart tv which was great. Dedicated sun loungers on the beach for hotel guests. Was in a quiet enough location around a 20 minute walk to the main part of chaweng
Every year i book in this hotel for the ocean pool villa, its a good price and you have your private pool in front of the beach, the location is good near to restaurants by walks or motorbikes, not same the other resorts if you want book a villa you will be very far from people, i call that a prison, its on chaweng beach.
As this is our first time in Thailand and Koh Samui, we really did not know what to expect. The resort was great. Small enough that there were always chairs available at the pool or on the beach. Nice restaurant, great breakfast oceanside. Staff were great and friendly.
Resort style feel, with lots of lovely garden surrounds and nice open spaces. The hotel sprawls across a fair bit of land. 2 very nice pools, lovely breakfast overlooking main pool and North End of Chaweng Beach. Staff were very helpful and nice.
Hotel in the center Chawang, perfect location, the hotel itself is really cute and enough for a few nights if you want a cheap option. It is part of a large resort, so you can enjoy the pool, beach and breakfast of that resort.
Great resort, clean and close to everything. Staff were so friendly and helpful, they even held our bags for a few days while we visited Koh Tao. Thank you May and all the staff you are amazing!!
Our stay at OZO hotel was faultless. Staff and facilities were exceptional and the location was perfect. I would highly recommend the Ozo Hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Koh Samui.
Probably the best resort type hotel I've ever been to. Beautiful garden, beach and there most amazing pool I've ever seen. Breakfast was also 10/10 and happy hour bar value was great.
and amazing hotel just out of the crazy area of Koh Samui. beautiful renovated and the staff is absolutely amazing. super helpful and friendly, and really go the extra mile for you!
Location is away from the main hustle and bustle of Koh Samui's Chaweng Beach.
Bed is extremely comfortable
Check-in/out was easy
reception staff was friendly and helpful
The location!!! All the best things in the center are right near the resort. Excellent rooms, excellent pool and right on the beach! And the price is fair for everyone.
