The main hotel is nostalgic, and well thought out. Very nicely renovated. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices for all different tastes. The room was simple, pretty, and very roomy. We appreciated that the windows open for some fresh air. The locations we all downtown, offering easy access to shopping and eating.

Really cute cottage. Loved that the campfire was easy on/off and the grill was available for use. The campfire overlooked the woods and it was so nice to sit out there. The cottage itself was clean and had extra amenities like popcorn and pancake mix for a fun touch. Bed was comfy as well.

The Gables of Rhinebeck, hotel in Kingston

Located in Rhinebeck, 15 miles from Marist College, The Gables of Rhinebeck has accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge.

We stayed in the Blue Ridge suite and it was very spacious and had a large en suite bathroom with a shower and a large jacuzzi tub that the inn keepers were kind enough to give us bubble bath for :) They made homemade croissants in the mornings and had really good coffee. So much was within easy walking distance of the inn. It was very easy to park alongside the inn on the side of the street as well as the driveway. Really cool restaurants and Revolutionary War historical sites nearby as well.

Be very careful about surge pricing over the weekend - this hotel is very poor value for money at weekend prices. I am also concerned that there is extremely limited concern for protecting the environment, a complete lack of energy efficiency - throw away cutlery and plates and bowls, no energy efficient measures in rooms. In my 4 day stay my room wasn't cleaned at all. Standards of food very poor.

    Very nice place to stay.

Very nice place to stay. Excellent staff very helpful and friendly. Only negative would be more time at the pool. Maybe it could stay open a little longer. Breakfast was ok. Would have liked more hot food choices. Over all great place to stay. Would recommend to everybody to stay there. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Bed and towels were ok, which was the only positive.

Bed and towels were ok, which was the only positive. Unable to call the hotel prior to the check in as was Choice and Booking.com. Did not answer countless efforts to call and e-mail to modify the room from smoking to non-smoking, despite allow the phone to ring for almost 20minutes until it disconnected. Manager and staff were informed of this issue when we arrived and were totally uncaring. No explanation of the situation, in fact the manager did not verbally respond at all. First room has a dirty toilet and broken fridge. Second room was minimally passable aside from the AC being so old and loud that we had to turn it off just to sleep. Fridge loud and all items old.

There is a lot of different culture in food too choose from very neat town I would consider even living here I loved it everyone should come here lots of site seeing and parks great for the whole family I came alone but i could tell kids would be captivated . I give the place an A+++ Avoiding this town would be a bad move you should just drive a round you will love it !!!

There’s a gamut of things to do and places to see. Yes during COVID we made sure the majority of our trip itinerary was outside. You can easily do 5 days up here in these surrounding counties in NY state.

The cottage is clearly recommendable, very charming and cosy and equipped with everything needed even for cooking midsize meals. The host Matthew is very attentive and responsive; directions and instructions were very clear. The neighborhood and immediate surroundings are quiet and feel absolutely safe. Kingston is a good location for exploring the Hudson Valley in both directions and itself worth a visit (State Senate House, Stockade District, Harbor) (Reserve at least three days!) Thank you, Matt!

Great little well appointed cottage in a wonderful location in Kingston! Very nicely remodeled one bedroom with a nice kitchen and bathroom and outdoor seating area (we didn’t have time to spend outside but it looked nice with a small grill too). Nice soap and well stocked kitchen (there was even ice in the ice trays) plus good air conditioning and shades on windows. Everything worked well and we enjoyed our short stay. Will definitely be back when we are in the area again!

Clean, spacious, comfortable room. The pool was great - no one else was there so we had it to ourselves. The front desk staff person was very nice and helpful. Just 8 minutes from historic downtown Kingston, which has a lot of great places to eat. A great place for our one-night stay to see a performance at Bard Music Festival.

Price is good and there's free parking. Breakfast is ok: coffee, apple/orange juice, small packaged muffin and granola bars. Staff is super friendly and the hotel is pet-friendly (for an extra $15US/night). The king size bed and pillows were very comfortable. Hotel is right in front of an amazing pizza place: Picnic Pizza.

We are staying at this hotel not for the first time, and I am very satisfied. The price-quality ratio is excellent! Last time, I asked them to add an extra bed for my child, and they did it! It was a very pleasant surprise, thank you!
