This was absolutely the most beautifully designed, comfortable, well thought-out private cottages in the most divine landscape and garden imaginable. Large rocks to sit on, space to have space from each other to read or meditate on the large rock out front of cottage, surrounded by artfully planted garden blooming with flower among vivid greenery and massive trees out yonder among the surrounding lush green paddy fields and nature park. The sound of peacocks and beautiful birds and a gorrgeous private swimming pool complete with lights and spa jets in each cottage. Away from the fray and business, this was magical. Hosts were so inredibly warm, kind, generous, and the food was pretty mush the best we have eated so far- and that includes in 5 star Negombo hotel and me being Sri Lankan myself!!! I strongly recommend this place to my Sri Lankan family who love to get way from Coombo, and visitors too. There was unseasonal rain in the area that restricted out visit to Sigyria, but I could not think of a better place on earth to be stuck in the rain!

This place is really a great place to stay when you want to see the Lion rock. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast included is also a bonus.

Lovely host, amazing food, Wi-Fi worked, surrounded by nature. The room is basic (no hot water, no AC), but that didn't matter, as we loved how it felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. Good to know: at night you can't walk around in the nature, as there are wild elephants. So if you go to the restaurants you need to take a tuk tuk back.

Fantastic 2 nights at Mr Roy’s! Super clean and modern hostel! Mr Roy and Mr Sunil and the rest of team provide a great atmosphere! Super social hostel as many activities are arranged. On arrival I was invited to join for the sunrise which takes care of viewing lions rock! This is a perfect place for solo travellers! Good luck to Mr Roy and thank you for an exceptional stay :-)

This guesthouse was by far the best place we stayed throughout all of Sri Lanka. Rooms are brand new (built only in 2020), with modern bathroom and spacious bedroom with beautiful large king-size bed. Immaculately clean. Breakfasts on the terrace were pure Sri Lankan magic: exceptional Sri Lankan food and fresh fruit juices, lush garden complete with elephant foot prints, and cheeky monkeys who are just waiting for a chance to take a banana. The owners are incredibly kind: the hostess is a fabulous cook (we ate 2 traditional rice and curry dinners here, plus 2 breakfasts) and the host drove us for free to the entrance of Sigiriya and kindly helped us with our travel plans to Polonnawura and back to Galle. Even though Sri Lanka was going through a difficult time with nationwide power outages and increasing gas prices during the time we stayed, we felt truly cared for by the gentle and incredibly kind owners. Thank you!

· This place is simply amazing and so are the host family. They are super kind and just lovely and went out of their way to make our stay the best it possibly could be. The kids loved it! Their favourite place so far and are already missing the family and Sigiriya… Location, breakfast, service all perfect. our first 10 score!

The view from the hotel is absolutely astonishing. Both the dinner and breakfast were very good and the hosts extremely nice and accommodating. Bonus points for the peacocks on the nearby field we got to watch at breakfast every morning.

Pirinç tarlaları ve sigiriya rock muhteşwm manzara. Muhteşem aile, akşama şarkınızı hazırlayın. Hep beraber , herkes kendi ülkesinin ve dilinin müziğiyle eğlendik , sohbet ettik. Akşam yemeğimizi de otel de yedik , iyi ki de öyle yapmışız , harikaydı. Ödül olarak dondurma kazandık :))
