The city was a very compact and sweet city.
The city was a very compact and sweet city. I recommend it to taste the delicious pastries and meatballs of Bosnian cuisine. The fact that the city has two different architectures and structures, east and west, added a different atmosphere.

Sarajevo is an active attractive city
BUT:
Sarajevo is an active attractive city
BUT:
Too many places only accept cash. payment accepted by credit card is the exception. A population that does avoid tax this way is not a free democratic population.
Do NOT visit the Historian Museum, the building is falling apart, cold and dirty. The only history covered is 1992-1995 which is of course important but not the only history. Very disappointed this attitude of being stuck in the narrow past and being unable and unwilling to take a broader look.

Wow - what an interesting city.
Wow - what an interesting city. We joined a free walking tour recommended by our hotel, which we’d highly recommend: it gave us context to the information we read at the various museums. It is possible to eat pizza etc but we ate only Bosnian food…which was delicious. The Muslim run restaurant s obviously don’t serve alcohol but it’s very easy to have a drink before or after eating. We always felt safe and found the Bosnian people to be welcoming. We loved that a short taxi ride/cable car ride took us in to the ‘countryside’ where we hiked around the Trebevic mountain area and walked down to the city - amazing views….and all at such reasonable prices! One thing to note is that smoking is part of the Bosnian culture, including in many bars and restaurants, so if you’re not a fan take a little time choosing your eatery. A brilliant place to visit with so much more to offer than the war history. We definitely recommend!

It’s hard to describe, but there is something magical about...
It’s hard to describe, but there is something magical about this city & its people. It is very walkable & good for exploring on your own, but I would recommend a tour. Also, be mindful that the obvious nightlife wraps up around 1 or 2 am, but I have been told there is a late night scene. Also, make reservations for restaurants, especially on the weekends even if it is just lunch. Enjoy!
It isn’t a hostel or hotel, it’s best of both! The staff is genuinely friendly, helpful, nice and professional. Room was extremely clean, we poved the ambiance, especially the inner court. We felt cozy and comfortable thorought our stay. Parking is close and safe, well worth the small extra charge. Good and fresh breakfast and bosnian coffee. Location is perfect for exploring the old town, just a short walking distance for night outings as well. We are definitely coming back! It’s a true hidden gem!
- Very friendly hosts - left a very good impression of Bosnian hospitality
- The apartment is super clean, well lit and spot-less
- looks better than the pictures on booking.com & tastefully set up.
- very good neighborhood - safe and quiet - good security measures in the building
- Elevator in the building
- a short walk to the town centre (4 or 5 minutes)
- plenty of restaurants, shops and groceries in the vicinity
- well equipped apartment
Owner of hostel Igor such a amazing guy. He is a real "Abi" (big brother). He is helpful and also very kind guy. His Hostel is really good place for making friends but not a party hostel. In hostel Rakia is the perfect way to connect with other guest :) Facilities were clean and the beds so comfortable! If you want to book this hostel be aware you cannot cook at the kitchen - not a bad thing as the Bosnian foods are good.
Location was good as it is just a very short walk from the vehicle drop-off point. The old town is off-limits to cars. Most attractions are within walking distance. Shopping malls a little further but still walkable for me. Food all around.
Took an overnight trip to Mostar and came back to same hotel as they stored my big luggage! Took all my tours with "Meet Bosnia" and their meeting place is just 3 mins' walk away.
It was great staying here and the owners were very kind. I ended up booking this place last minute when the other place I booked very closeby turned out to be unacceptable to stay. The owners got the place ready for me in less than 10 minutes and very attentive. The flat was super clean and easy walk away from everything. They even kept my bags for as long as I needed to and made suggestions. Highly recommended!
The employees are very kind. The hotel, apartments and service are the same as shown on the booking, which is great. The hotel is clean and tidy. Apartments and rooms in the hotel smell nice and are well maintained. Hotel security is guaranteed, there is an evacuation plan on every floor and also in every room. The food is very tasty and fresh. All recommendations!
Apartments are located in the center of the city, the location is perfect! In case you are traveling by car, check at front the availability of parking spots, might be that parking will cost you more than apartment. Everything was clean and ready for us. 10 minutes after booking, the owner texted us and we had no issues with finding this place.
My wife and I arrive at the hotel at 8.30 in the morning and the manager Mr Mustafa allowed us to check-in with no extra charges.
Our room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was superb with lots of choices offered including local Bosnian dish.
We love the hotel and would definitely stay again should we visit Sarajevo again.
A very nice experience, the place is elegant and luxurious, the view is beautiful, everything you need is available in the hotel apartments, you rate it Seven Star. Dealing with them is very nice and smooth. They were fine in dealing. I hope anyone who travels to Bosnia will try this hotel apartment. Thank you.
The owners we met were really nice and enjoyed a lot talking to them
The inside of the apartments is really nice - very well renovated.
Great location for Sarajevo
Sarajevo very interesting - museums on the war so sad and difficult to comprehend the challenges and sadness of the Bosniaks
It was a wonderful room, which was even bigger than the original room we booked, so the owner actually gave us a free upgrade. The room had everything we needed, and more. It is stylish and very centrally located. I'd recommend this accommodation to anyone.
It is a nice little hotel next to Bascarsija. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was basic but good, as expected for a small hotel. It usually starts at 8 but as we had tours booked we were able to eat at 7:30 which we really appreciated.
The hotel is quite modern with interesting ethno touch. The staff was really nice. We could also park in front of the hotel for free. The breakfast was tasty and we could get traditional Bosnian coffee or tea whenever we wanted. Highly recommended!
We were 3 nurses from croatia. We wanted to visit bosnia and booked that apart. The house is close to the center, had everything we needed and is a spacious house. The host is very helpful and kind person. I recommend you to stay here.
The landlord is a very good person. I have made many reservations through the Booking.com website. I never gave 10 points for any reservation. The house has all the items. The house is very close to the city center and is comfortable.
Location, location, location! The room was clean and we had everything one would need for a short-term stay. Communication with the hosts was smooth. They were always at our disposal. All in all, a place that I would always book.
located 2min from the old town
