The place is warm and cosy. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent. We specifically asked for a room with a balcony and that is what we got.

Located in Guarda, 5.6 km from Guarda Castle, Quinta do Rio Noémi provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Beautiful boutique hotel with a character in a quiet green area. Rooms are nicely designed and very clean. Cosy common area with a fireplace downstairs. The host is extremely friendly and accommodating. Tasty breakfast with locally produced ingredients. Definitely have to follow host’s advice for dinner place - very local simple place with small menu but food food so delicious and fresh!

A Madre De Água Hotel Rural de Charme szálláshelye a Serra da Estrela-hegy lejtőin, Gouveia városától mindössze 5 perces autóútra, egy bor-, sajt- és olívaolaj-termelő gazdaságban található. Architecture was perfect, solid buildings, design of room. The atmosphere was great. The staff was excellent, friendly, sincere, welcoming, and always willing to help. Seeing the beautiful horses galloping next to the room was truly amazing. Breakfast in the dining room was filled with fresh fruits from the farm and great tasting breads. Dinner was amazing with terrific wines from the farm both full bodied and light. Even the vegetarian options were perfect.

Casas da Lapa is a modern hotel ideally situated on a hill top, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. It is located within a typical mountain village, Lapa dos Dinheiros. Staff in particular Marcia were very friendly and super helpful. Nothing was too much for them.

Top notch where nothing is too much trouble. Everyone has a smile and the overall vibe is delightful. There was an issue with WiFi in my room and it was responded to quickly and effectively. Food. Absolutely wonderful. The dinner menu at 40 Euros is a bargain... apertif, amuse boche, breads, starter, soup, main, dessert, and coffee. The food is well prepared and the portions are ample. I note the size of portions is much better than a previous stay seven years ago. Room. I stayed in the suite and love its ambience. Snacks. From 4 PM to 6 PM there is a selection of snacks... sweet and savory. They are diverse and change every day.

Located in Lajeosa do Mondego, municipality of Celorico da Beira – the Serra Cheese capital – Casas do Durão-Memories House is set at the base of the Estrela Ridge and offers a tranquil stay. The owners are super friendly and always taking care of you. You can park the car in front of the house (it’s a small village so no problem with the parking). Room is comfortable and really calm to sleep well. It has a patio outside where you can eat, read or relax your self. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of local products like fruits, cheese, etc...

Stunning view from the room balcony and the terrace, very clean and orderly and the breakfast was absolutely amazing.
