Cold AC, no power cuts and a super comfy bed. (which we keep realising is a rarity in India) so worth it just for that.

Jodhpur has a rich cultural heritage and the people of Jodhpur are lovely. My favourite experience was visiting Mehrangarh Fort, it was beautiful. My guided tour was provided by a knowledgeable guide, Nagendar Singh. Getting around the place was fairly easy. I was also pleased with my stay at Ranbanka Palace Hotel. I also got to try the local cuisine.

Jodhpur is a small but beautiful city with almost all tourist places close to each other. One could enjoy quality time calmly. One can plan for short term holidays. In two days almost all the beautiful places could be covered up and can enjoy authentic Rajasthani food too. Recommended to visit during winter.

After stays in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur it was a relief to come to Jodhpur. The city was full of interesting streets and markets to explore, fascinating history and architecture, with a grand fort on top of the hill.
We stayed for 2 days and enjoyed a walking tour of the city at night, an adrenaline-filled morning ziplining up at the fort and a 4 hour visit to Bishnoi village and the surrounding area. We would have happily stayed for another day or two if we had had the time.
We stayed in Khamma Heritage, in the heart of the old city, a very nice small hotel with lovely owners.
On the advice of others we ate one evening meal on the rooftop at Hotel Indique, in Pal Haveli. It was fantastic, with a wide range of Indian and non-Indian food and a good drinks menu. Blankets and heaters provided plenty of warmth on a chilly evening and the views were wonderful.

2 days are enough to cover Jophpur.
2 days are enough to cover Jophpur.
The locals are nice and friendly. I would suggest not to take big car to jodhpur as the streets are too narrow in the old city area (where most of the tourist spots are). If possible rent a two-wheeler there and cover all the spots otherwise you can also get autos.
You can visit Osian district where you can enjoy desert safari and cultural programs (food, dance, singing). There is a famous sachchai mata temple there. Its a must visit (very clean and quite with a beautiful view of the city).
Food:
Must tries-Vijay Restaurant (ask for their specials and they will recommend you the best, do ask for lassan ki chatni), Mishrilal lassi wala (try their Malayi lassi-just amazing). Rajasthani thali
Local finds: Pyaaz ki kachori, mewa kachori (if you are sweet tooth), mirchi bada, daal bada and kabuli.

We loved the city.
We loved the city. It was much cleaner than other indian cities. And it is walkable! You can see the pride of the people here to live here. Also lots of places for shopping and most cafe's have rooftop terraces. Always great view while eating.
Very warm and friendly family hosts. I went for Diwali with my family away from home, it felt like we came home. They go extra mile to assist you in every possible way and care for your safety and well-being.
THE BEST PART - they don’t believe in tips or overcharging.
Very central location for markets, shopping & nice restaurants. The hotel itself cooks most delicious authentic Jodhpur food.
The building has traditional architectural design. Rooms are clean and spacious. Highly recommend this hotel, exceeds expectation.
So there is the greater city most of which tourists don't need to explore. But this place sits in the heart of the original old blue city. It is a grand old building hidden in the small walk ways of the old city. It is 500 years old and the interior is just as amazing as the views. If you want a 5 star hotel then this isn't for you if you want to stay in a location with amazing views and amazing access to the fort and the old city and a photographers dream location then this is it. I will let my photos do the talking.
This was the best hotel we stayed in during our fortnight in India.
The service was exceptional. Our two very large rooms were beautiful, with block printed curtains. The bathrooms were huge and spotless.
The Breakfast was delicious and dinner was some of the very best we ate of our whole trip - faultless service. You can tell the owners live there - its a fabulous hotel.
The gardens were beautiful, and the swimming pool was lovely - an oasis in the middle of busy Jodhpur.
The hospitality exceeded expectations. I say this sincerely and as a person who travels frequently to 5 star hotels around the world, I am strongly leaning toward saying this was the best 5 star hotel experience I have experienced from the attention to detail in noting my preferences from my food and drink orders from day 1 to anticipating every need without request or without needing to “find someone” to pay attention. I’d honestly go back to Jodhpur just to go back to stay here.
This was the only other 5 star property in Jodhpur. however, everything about the property is at best 3 star. the property needs lot of work to get to 5 star status.. we paid almost $8k for a dinner buffet which easily one of the worst I have ever had. I did not get hot water the first night we checked in. the room i stayed was next to a road with lot of road noise. however, the staff offered me to shift to a different room..
We really enjoyed our stay at Jodhpur Palace Guest House. We were welcomed in the most wonderful way when we arrived at the hotel. The location was perfect, walking distance from the clock tower area. Our host Anshul was helpful in every way. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The guest house is in the old town so we had the chance to see the local life from close. We would definitely come back.
It was without a doubt my favorite place I stayed on my trip to India. The location is excellent, the rooms are beautiful and everything is incredibly clean. The kindness of the owners is great, and she cooks like no one else, my best Indian dinners have also been here! I recommend this accommodation to everyone who visits Jodhpur and if not, I recommend going to eat on the terrace they have
The manager Vikram and his staff were wonderful and professional in every way. This is the best hotel and treatment I have come across in all my visits in India. Truly warm and helpful, they also run the rooftop restaurant which is also great, clean, tasty and serves only the freshest ingredients. I will certainly be staying here again in my future visits!
It was the cleanest hotel we stayed at in India, it had the best amenities, a really spacious and well kept bedroom! It is possible to find cheaper accommodation in Jodhpur, closer to the city centre, but the location of the Shanti is a much better area! The city centre is constantly busy, the buildings are degraded and it is very dirty everywhere.
Best hotel quality-price i've seen in India. I highly recommend to stablish there during your visit in Jodhpur. Staff always willing to help, charming rooms and very well located (it's city center but in a really calm street away from horns). My congrats to the family is managing the hotel because they really make a nice, cozy and charming place
This hotel was recently taken over by the Raas hotel chain and is being brought up to snuff. All the previous reviews were from the old owner. We had an excellent stay. While it's not the Raas, it's an excellent hotel for a great value. Super clean, well located in the city and the staff is super helpful and friendly. What's not to like?
Sunshine Guest House was one of the best guest houses we ever visited (maybe the best). The price-quality is amazing. The owner and hosts are very kind and sincere. The restaurant above the guest house had the best Indian food we had in whole India. The view over Jodhpur at the rooftop is outstanding.
The Quietness in the room for us to rest as we are on holiday. As I was travelling alone they provided me comfort & safety which is great for a woman. The way they guide you is fantastic because who doesn't want to save money I followed their itinerary and found some of the best places in Jodhpur.
Suraj Haveli was the perfect accommodation for Jodhpur. The family are so welcoming and helped planned my itinerary for the city. The homemade dinner is some of the best food I’ve had in India. The property is in a great location and the rooms are super comfortable. I recommend this place!
We loved the place....❤️❤️ Hosting by Gangesh dada was exceptional. Also Roof top restaurant was the gem 💎 Everyone must try having homely food at roof top restaurant. Location of the hotel was also near all tourist attractions in Jodhpur. We happily suggest this place for anyone ❤️
Boutique hotel close to train station. Very cute. We booked three rooms and all were different and very nice. The breakfast is fantastic. Both international and Indian options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We also had dinner at the hotel and was delicious
The very best place that we stayed at in all of India! The minute we walked in the hotel as like walking into a complete different world! The gardens are serene, the lovely jasmine smell was exquisite and all the staff were incredibly helpful.
Loved this stay in Jodhpur - the hotel has the best rooftop views, great food and the service is unbeatable. Highly recommend staying here and eating here, a lot of thought has gone into the place and the Nepalese influence is amazing!
There is every thing I like.. clean, good staff, and home feeling . The woner is self a cook and she is cooking better then star hotels. Every one should stay there who want to visit jodhpur.
This is a lovely heritage property, probably the best I’ve stayed at in India. The staff was extremely solicitous, especially Balveer the manager who is always on site.
