Room was amazing. Exceptionally clean. Great views. Breakfast selection was superb - only problem the hot selection was luke warm, or cold. However, if you order fried eggs or omelettes, they are cooked to order and are delivered to your table hot, but bacon, tomato, hash browns etc. to accompany were cold! We ate in the hotel restaurant for 2 nights and it was incredible.
Overlooking the Sagres fort and the lighthouse of Cape St Vicent, Pousada de Sagres enjoys a beautiful cliff-top location along the Atlantic Ocean.

The location/view was magnificent overlooking the atlantic ocean. Sunset was magical - only even seen sunsets over the pacific/indian ocean, so bucket list ticked off. Room was spacious enough for the two of us.

The location for me was perfect. A few minutes walk from the bus stop and local Spar Supermarket. But more than that, the Protected area of headland for the beautiful sunrise and a bird’s eye view of Sagres and Moreta beach.

Loved Sagres. Very quiet and laid back. Great atmosphere everywhere with locals and tourists alike. Had some lovely meals, nice walks, hardly any traffic, a joy to quietly unwind in.
I would highly recommend Sagres time apartments. Lovely pool area, very well kept, quiet & relaxing. Apartment clean and spacious. Nice big balcony. Staff were wonderful. Highly recommend. Everywhere we ate we enjoyed it very much. Sagres is very walkable. No need for a car.

Sagres is at the very western tip of the Algarve and has few retired expats and no package holiday makers. Its a small Portugese community with lots of young people and independent travellers who mix well and many come to surf and walk. Its got some great bars along the top of Mareta beach and people come here to do their own thing, enjoy the wild and rugged Atlantic coastline and the towns like Carrapateira, Bordeira and Aljezur

A great laid back, small, surfing resort, suitable for families, couples and individual travellers. You can get there on busses from the airport at Faro, changing in Lagos, although hiring a car would be much quicker.
The beaches, bars and restaurants are all great but the sea is quite cold, so bring a wetsuit.
You can hire bodyboards, surfboards and wetsuits on the main surfing beach at Tonel.
You can also hire bikes from local shops and cycle out to the lighthouse at Cabo da Sao Vicente. If you want to go further, there is a track across the cliffs to a local village, Vila do Bispo, although it is hard work against the strong winds, up a steady incline. Allow 2 hours from Sagres but it's much quicker coming back.
The fort is worth a visit, with a circular clifftop walk and a museum.
There is also a path for clifftop walks in Sagres.

Sagres is an amazing place to visit if you are looking for stunning views of the Algarve and the ocean, I would recommend you to go with someone, doesn’t seem REEEEALLY for solo traveling, but it’s up to you. Maybe you find love there.
Also the city is so beautiful and looks like a beach village, which I love when I’m traveling. Run away from the big cities and stuff.
It’s also good for surfing if you are up to.

Sagres is a sanctuary in Nature and the importance that Portugal had in its history at a time when the known world was divided by the Portuguese, Spanish and English courts.
You breathe pure air and feel the ghosts of good people from the past and the hustle and bustle of crowds of sailors and discoverers who set out to sea with joy in their hearts and enough daring to face the unknown.
Sagres means sacred ... Holy ground
For those who have awakened their inner spirit and Love, they will feel beautiful emotions to the point of tears of joy in their eyes.
In short, there is the Algarve with excellent beaches and hotels.
And there are Sagres! A mecca of Biodiversity, Emotions, Love, Spirituality.
It also has the best sunset on Cape S. Vicente.
There is magic and peace in a perfect symbiosis between the sunset and the people who nestle on the cliff in silence until the sun crosses the horizon line into the sea.
A Must to experience in a life time!
The location in Sagres was perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. There is a well equipped outside, shared kitchen which is a great perk. The woman at check-in was awesome. She spent a lot of time pointing out locations on a map for us to birdwatch. These tips were instrumental in us having such an amazing birdwatching trip! She also lent me a charger for my cell phone because mine was malfunctioning and she provided a fan upon request.
Very helpful and friendly staff, the checkin experience was perfect. We arrived in Sagres earlier so we asked if we could leave our luggage in the hotel. It was possible. Thank you! And before the checkin time I received a message that room has been cleaned and we could move in before 4pm.
The view... omg I cant even describe how amazing it was, we had an apartment with a garden and a path to the cliff. Comfy bed and clean room and kitchen.
The Villa it's self was to a 5 star standard clean and modern like being in a hotel. We loved how easy is was to walk into town in the evenings or for lunch. With surf beaches on your door step there was no need to hire a car but we did just to venture out to other beaches if the swell was not big enough to too big..... Would recommend to anyone, If you want to holiday in Sagres with family or friends, this is the place to stay.
The view was beautiful, the location was great with restaurants and multiple beaches nearby. The pool access was so easy with the pool bar as a bonus. Because it was a smaller boutique hotel, it was so easy to get to the pool, there were always chairs available, it was small and a bit more cozy than a big resort. I loved this. It was so nice to go to the beach easily for the morning, then come back to the pool in the afternoon.
Casa Azulejo was the best lodging we booked during a two week hike in southern Portugal. The hotel is in a great location in Sagres, just a few steps from numerous restaurants, shops, supermarket, and beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room exceeded our expectations. It was large, very modern, and charming with upscale furnishings. The bathroom was awesome. Entire property was spotlessly clean.
We loved the place really!
It is a cozy hotel, very new and modern, nice and clean rooms. The rooms are cleaned every day as well. Big parking next to the hotel and some nice restaurants :)
There is also a kitchen where you can cook some food:mictowave, toaster, fridge, cofeemaker.
The host i the seetest lady which takes such a good care of this place.
We will be back if we ever in Sagres.
Seems like it one of the best hotels in Sarges. Close to the beach where you can swim, have a cute swimming pool with food&drinks. It is 15min walk to the end of Europe = fortress and maybe 20min to another beach to surf. I fell in love with Sarges generally speaking so would defo come back.
We had a perfect 5 days stay, loved all of it, the view, the outside and inside of the hotel restaurant and room. Sagres is a very small town. Temperature is lower than rest of the Algarve (which was very nice during heat season, but could be a bit windy in the other seasons).
This beautiful family resport was also a lovely place for a couple without children. The beach was exceptional and so were the facilities. We were there in the off-season (January), and I imagine that it can get pretty crazy in the summer. But we loved it.
Very nicely designed rooms, location is great - in a quiet part of Sagres, but still close to all restaurants or beaches. Parking (secured by cute doggo and few cats of very friendly neighbors) outside of the house was also no problem.
The location for me was perfect. A few minutes walk from the bus stop and local Spar Supermarket. But more than that, the Protected area of headland for the beautiful sunrise and a bird’s eye view of Sagres and Moreta beach.
The view from our room was incredible. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location was excellent. Parking was easy. The restaurant and cafe on the property made dining for dinner and lunch easy.
Nice complex with covered parking, ample apartments and quite enjoyable garden/pool. The staff is very nice and helpful. Conveniently located to enjoy Sagres beaches or for surfers.
Nice little hotel in Sagres. Really nice & simple design in the room.
Breakfast is served in the morning, you can find all you need.
Plenty of parking options next to it
Probably the best hostel in Sagres .
I had a very good time . I slept like a baby in the 4 beds dorm . The place is sparkly clean, secured and fun to be 🥰
There is no other appartment closer to one of the nicest beaches in Portugal (Tonel Beach) than this one. The location and staff are more than excellent.
Camping in the middle of nature is the best and Sagres in a beautiful city, Parque de Campismo Orbitur Sagres is a very good value for how much it cost.
