I rented a room to leave my luggage for the duration of the tour. The room was simple, aged, but clean, with a balcony. I liked the price-quality ratio, and on the next trip I took a room already for living. There are dishes, ask the reception to give a kettle to the room.

One can get a little nostalgic when talking about the development of Hua Hin. The first beachside resort town in Thailand was originally a small fishing village. It manages to maintain a laid-back atmosphere despite chain hotels invading the best vantage points along Hua Hin Beach.
The current King of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej, spends much of his time here in the royal residence of Klai Kangwon Palace, built in 1927. The local Thai population have followed ever since as they escape the stifling heat of Bangkok.
Hin Lek Fai Hill provides the finest outlook of the bay and its 5 km-long stretch of beach. The central Hua Hin Night Market satisfies your wallet and your stomach with its mix of local souvenirs and freshly cooked seafood.
These days there is a distinctive cosmopolitan flair to the city with many restaurants and hotels purveying a European influence. It is also less hectic than Pattaya, the rival beach resort on the other side of the Bay of Thailand.
Hua Hin Airport has flights from Bangkok, and the wooden Thai-style train station is regarded as the prettiest in Thailand. The city has many hotels and resorts for families and couples and Booking.com can also accommodate you at the famous Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas.

The biggest issue in Hua Hin is that the main road where many hotels are located near the beach is about the busiest in the area. If you are driving it is necessary to go a distance before you can make a U turn. You should only cross this road at the designated pedestrian crossing, otherwise it can be dangerous.
My critique of cities in Thailand - the sidewalks are not level in many places. You really have to pick up your feet and watch where you are walking because at any moment the grading can change and you will trip; Hua Hin is no exception.
Also, at times Hua Hin can have polluted air blowing your way. However, you will not be inundated with sewage smells like many other Thai cities.
Overall though, this city is safe, the weather is manageable and it is relatively easy to navigate your way around.

There is not much cultural activities, at least that I know of apart from the very nice Ciccada Market (art, handicraft, food and music). So renting a bike or using Grab is necessary if you want to explore a bit more than central Hua Hin. So include it in your budget. The malls are 2 and 4 km away. It's a bit difficult to find good restaurants with a reasonable price, there are many cheap but so-so restaurants. The restaurants in the night market nearby clearly target the tourists : 400 bht one plate when in other ones you pay 100 bht....

I know HuaHin for almost at 20 years and it hasn’t changed staying still quite and nice comparing to other cities. The center of the city is optically not welcoming and forms a typical Thai style agglomeration townhouses systems with unfortunately growing traffic congestions.

Hua Hin is much more relaxed than Pattaya and Bangkok. There are lots of bars and restaurants and the local beaches are beautiful. It's also easy to travel in land where there are amazing waterfalls and rivers with lots of activities to do.

I've been a regular visitor to Hua Hin for over 20years.
I've been a regular visitor to Hua Hin for over 20years. My favorite place' Despite the influx of tourists you can still find the Thai way of life. The night market is still a favourite for many but try the Thai food and entertainment end of Soi 102 and the Tamarind towards Koh Takiab (Thurs till Sunday). Ther's a cheap Baht bus 20baht. Stick your hand out to get on. Beware they cahange to more expensive taxi after 9pm. Petchaburi is a gem > wander around the world heritage temples and buildings It's vibrant market finishes at noon. The new Train station is vast and impressive. High speed trains some time in the future. Hope it doesn't spoil Hua Hin.
Hua Hin Euro city Hotel located at HuaHin City center, which near to Railway Station. The night bars like Soi-80 is 400 meters and Binhaibaht 500 meters, beach 400 meters and also food night market 300 meters.
It's really comfortable place for stay. I highly recommended to solo travelers as well as families too.
Prices are appropriate and if you want green tea then hot water also available there for free. The staff are good and can speak English well. You need to pay cash because there is no credit card payment available.
The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept on away from home, room spacious and stylish. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas. Restaurant for breakfast good... lunch, there was a set price menu and drink deal...evening dinner, Korean food.
The pool, gym, pool bar were on the roof. Happy hour from 5 til 7 for cocktails. The hotel had a free shuttle service to take guests to and from Hua Hin and the beach. Highly recommended, we would stay here again.
I love this part of Hua HIn, a little further south of Hua Hin central but quieter and the beach is better for swimming Short walk to the beach and to grocery store. there are some restaurants you can walk to. Hotel shuttle to Hua Hin central and markets/shopping. Staff were very nice, pool is good and rooms are also large and clean. Food at restaurant was also good. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment.
I went to Hua Hin for the weekend to get away from Bangkok, change of scenery. I had work to do, study and prepare for exams. The hotel is beautifully furnished and decorated… the rooftop and the pool are wonderful. 5 minutes to the coast and maybe 10 minutes to the beach by foot where you can walk for hours. Very good location for night market, restaurants, train station. I loved it and plan to go again soon.
This is our third stay at the Veranda Lodge, we love that it is on the beach, but also has a lovely pool area. It’s like a family hotel, with birds, cats and a dog. The staff are lovely. The breakfast is absolutely delicious. It is a short walk to Market Village which is a great shopping complex with a food hall and lots of restaurants. Great shopping too.
We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Hua Hin.
The pool was amazing - large and clean. The room was spacy and very clean. The breakfast included different options, including a very good coffee (not instant coffee, which was also available). The Staff was nice and helpful. The location of the hotel is fine - near to the beach, very close to the Market Village, about 2 km from a nice night market and Hua Hin station.
Most importantly we really loved the friendly and helpful staff, especially Pat! The hotel mat not be the newest, but it’s very clean and provides everything needed to spend some good days in Hua Hin. The shared pool was very clean as well. The way to the beach is only two minutes, and it’s really easy to get around to Hua Hin Center or Khaki Takiab by songthaew.
We booked our room at the Baan Bayan over more modern hotels because of the strong heritage of the property and it’s excellent beachfront location which was also very close to the Hua Hin Market Village - the holiday did not disappoint - a beautifully maintained resort with all the feel of yesterday-year - loved every minute of it.
located in the heart of hua hin.
rooftop bar and swimming pool are decent
massage shops and nice restaurants near the hotel.
if it is your first time to hua hin this hotel is highly recommended
at dinner time there is a restaurant opened near the pool area, that one is quite decent compared to the one in the hotel
I would rate it as 4 star hotel comparing with other international 5 stars. I was expecting very luxury hotel but it was a bit old in furniture. The staff is amazing specially the manager who offered a lot of extra benefits to stay.
The good welcoming and treatment of staff is really appreciated in this hotel
A highly recommended beachfront hotel in Hua Hin. The hotel is not very big but has a classic atmosphere. The beach is beautiful and wide. The sand is white and fine. The staff gave a warm welcome and were willing to provide very good service. Delicious breakfast. The taste pleases both Thais and foreigners.
A beautiful resort, perfectly located on the beach and close to Hua Hin center.
A spacious resort, serene lovely gardens, nice large pools.
Great service and food. Very rich breakfast. Great COAST restaurant.
A great option for a peaceful exclusive experience.
This is the hotel of my choice every trip I take to Hua Hin. It is very reasonably priced and easy access to beach and also the shopping mall across the road. I always have a great stay. What I particularly like is the large balcony to sit outside on.
One of the best hotels where I have been. Definitely the most beautiful park... The hotel is surrounded by all kinds of tropical plants and has direct access to Hua Hin beach. Staff is exceptional as well as the restaurants.
Fantastic Hotel in the heart of Hua Hin, room fabulous with every attention to detail. Great swimming pool, lobby, and room excellent and clean with superb view over Hua Hin beach and Gulf of Thailand 🇹🇭
Location was close to night entertainment, restaurants and beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and hotel cleanliness were extremely good. Quite basic breakfast but good enough.
Luxury hotel, breakfast wide variety,
near to village market, close to night
market, family oriented, different pools
24 hr gym, different rooms options
and views. On beach front.
The pool and facility are top-notch! The location makes it the perfect 5-star resort to choose from in Hua Hin. The beach is beautiful and you can easily walk downtown in 10 mins.
