Stayed in a room with a shared pool situated in the garden. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We were all inclusive and the food exceeded our expectations. We loved having our breakfast looking out over the sea. The sandy beach was gorgeous with very warm water and beautiful views of the sunset. Olympia is a 30 min drive away and we spent a fascinating morning visiting the site and museum.
Hotel Europa Olympia is built on the top of Drouvas Hill in Ancient Olympia.

The room we stayed in was newly renovated and VERY spacious. If we had planned more time in Olympia, I would have stayed there the whole time. The facilities were lovely and the staff was kind and helpful. It seems to be a little out of the way, but trust me, the quiet night, excellent staff, and comfortable rooms are worth it! Our room even had a lovely view of the city below.

The property is lovely and we had an excellent room with 2 balconies with views. The property is well situated in Olympia, it is in a nice part of the town and is close to the main sites and restaurants. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent.
In the centre of Ancient Olympia, just 700 metres from the archaeological site and museum, Hotel Inomaos offers free private parking and free WiFi.

It was central to the town, good parking, access to nearby restaurants, and staff were friendly and helpful even though I knew no Greek. The room was fine for me, though a little run down, nothing too bad and I had a balcony.
Hotel Ilis is located at the entrance of the town of Ancient Olympia, approximately 200 metres from the centre. The museum and the ancient stadium are 3 km away.

The owner and the staff were all excellent. The service was impeccable, the location of the hotel ideal, within walking distance of the museum - exceptional value for money proposition. Will definitely be staying there again on my next visit to Olympia.

We have visited 3 times over 15 years and the accommodation and cafe, recommended by Hotel, were both excellent. We should have hired virtual reality glasses for the ancient Olympic in advance. We couldn't find them at the site.

Olympia is a large site, while very significant, it’s also a bit confusing to understand and is in some ways, underwhelming compared to other Greek sites. I wish we got the VR glasses that are rented to hep understand the site better as we walked through.

I didn’t realise just how important Olympia was, the first Olympic Games happened here, the ancient state of Greece was inaugurated here, some of the greatest sculpture ever made reside here. All set amongst the most beautiful landscape.

Obviously, the main reason to visit Olympia is fror the ancient ruins of the Stadium and surrounding artifacts. It is a full day to see everything. We didn't engage the audio guide, as it was a bit complicated with a pre-set-up and download. But I recommend going into the museum to see the model of the area as it was in use to more fully enjoy and identify the ruins. Walking under the arched tunnel into the stadium made the hair on my arms stand up - such an energy.

Olympia was quite a surprise for me.
Olympia was quite a surprise for me.
Considering its a small town it had all you could need.
The ancient archeological site is a must see for anyone interested in history and the museum is great also and a must see as well.
The town is cosy with everything walking distance and at night its something else with restaurants and bars and shops all lit up and vibrant plus wide tree lined streets that make it a pleasure to walk through.
I can definitely recommend it and maybe a stop over on the way to the Ionian islands.
Ohhh forgot to say that one of the nicest restaurants is Taverna Orestis where i had one of the nicest meals iv had in my 9 weeks in Greece i can highly recommend it.

One night stay is enough for visiting the Archeological Site and the Museums. The small the town has only two major streets, one with shady restaurants and the other with shops. You can fint not only the Olimpia museums but a small museum about Archimedes which is really worth to visit.
It is quite a long time to get to Olimpia from the direction of Corinth, but you can choose the slower route across the hills which hides lovely villages.
I had a very good time at Anesi. The location is very central and you can easily reach by foot the archeological site. There are also several restaurants in the nearby (Olympia now is a small town and being in the centre you have everything close). Going in November, the tavern was closed, who will visit the place in Summer will be luckier.
One pint for me was very important: I had to face some inconvenience and the owner, Elias, was very helpful. So highly recommended!
Conveniently located in Olympia (although to be fair, Olympia is small and everything is convenient) at a budget price. Hotel Pelops is nothing fancy, but you get the feeling that it has hosted many visitors to the archaeological site over the years, and remains unchanged :) We really appreciated the little map the proprietor drew for us at check-in. Don't miss the Olympic torches in the breakfast room!
This is a family own business and the couple/owners are very nice and helpful. The location is great since Olympia is a small town. Literally the bus stop is less than a minute from the hotel door, and the archaeological site only 7 minutes. The facility is old but I think it's enough since everything works properly. I've been in many not-expensive hotels and this is a great deal.
The room was spotlessly clean with a lovely private outdoor terrace. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast at €5 was delicious and good value. Great location at the bottom of town near all of the restaurants and a 10 min walk to the archaeological site.
Kostas is the best owner we found in Greece! What an amazing experience he make and what kind and energetic is his way to communicate with guests. The place is quite central, very walkable to ancient Olympia and museums, we even didn’t had to use our car there.
The hospitality was great and the pool area lovely. The hotel is also located in a great area away from the noise of the city, but a close walk to many restaurants and shops. The Ancient Site of Olympia is only a 10 minute walk away. The rooms were comfortable.
Very simple and spotlessly clean guest house perfect for a overnight in Olympia. Friendly helpful host and lovely breakfast. Olympia is tiny so it's near to everything. We booked two rooms second one for the kids and all went well.
Clean and spacious, the hotel was an excellent one night stop near Ancient Olympia.
Fantastic pool for adults and children alike and a gorgeous Taverna garden for a sunset dinner.
Excellent value. Great staff. Lovely food
Ideal location - a 5 minute walk from the town and 15 mins from the museums.
En-suite bathroom and balcony was a big plus.
Pool access nearby - although I didn’t visit.
The staff were friendly and hospitable.
Hotel owner was very personable and helpful. He gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner. Room was clean with a large bed. The location is perfect with nearby amenities.
Accurate description, very well located and very clean. Nice and respectful host, very responsive. For a very small amount of money, we had a good breakfast at the hotel.
