The room was great, and we very much enjoyed drinks and food in the dog friendly, vape and smoke friendly casino! Value for what we got was great. Everything was clean and the staff was fantastic; we very much enjoyed it and have already booked another stay this fall!

It was an older hotel but the room was spotless with all the amenities we needed. Comfortable bed and lots of pillows. After we checked in the manager stopped by with bottles of water and told us about the continental breakfast.
Located 2 minutes’ walk from Bristlecone Convention Center, this motel includes a casino and 1 restaurant and bars on site. It features a fitness centre. All rooms offer free Wi-Fi.
I would but Ely needs a better choice of restaurants.
I would but Ely needs a better choice of restaurants. I asked about a place to eat mentioned Denny’s and was told it wasn’t the best place to eat. Went to McDonald’s instead and it was like we were bothering them. Food wasn’t very freash made.

Our room and building was ok. The jacuzzi wasn’t working.
Our room and building was ok. The jacuzzi wasn’t working. The front office staff said they were “waiting on a part,” put it was said in a very unsure and unbelievable way. Our friends, however (both in their 70’s), were given a room in a separate building on the second floor WITHOUT AN ELEVATOR!!! Not cool, La Quinta. Not cool. Plus, the sink was clogged, and it took an hour to get a plumber to show up!

Front desk was very accommodating. Room was clean.
Front desk was very accommodating. Room was clean. Everything worked. Apparently the hotel is upgrading some rooms. This room didn't have a microwave but we asked the front desk and she brought us one immediately.

Ely is a small town with very friendly people.
Ely is a small town with very friendly people. There are multiple hotels to stay in, each with a slot casino. The town seems to roll up around 8pm but the casinos are 24/7 and resturants within them stay open a bit later.
The Great Basin national park is about an hour away and this would be where you would want to stay if you are visiting there as the town of Baker, where the park is located is very very small with only 1 shop and no gas station.
We came for the Northern Nevada Railroad experience and my dad drove a steam and deisel engine train there. This is a museum as well. The railway is truly the town's gem.
If you come for the railroad experience, take a day to drive to the National Park, and make sure you also visit the White Pine Museum if you like small county museums.
The people of Ely were all very kind and genuinely nice.
If you are just roadtripping the loneliest highway(Hwy 50) and drive through Ely, make a stop and check out the historical Hotel Nevada.

I love Ely, this is my 4th stay.
I love Ely, this is my 4th stay. I have always had a memorable experience. One thing I wish I could have enjoyed was the new art gallery and Mercantile downtown. We arrived after they closed and left before they opened. So cool hearing the train blow its whistle as it chugged through town as well. On a former trip we visited the White Pine museum and it far exceeded our expectations. Worth a stop, for sure!

The people that I have dealt with in ELY have been very courteous and friendly. From gas stations and market to restaurants and fast foods, everyone has been very personable. It makes a stay over very enjoyable
We were very pleased with the location of the Motel and the size and cleanliness of the rooms and the property. Although the impression that staying in a motel is not as nice a hotel, Bristlecone Motel has been one of the nicer places we have stayed. We will definitely be visiting Ely, Nevada again and will be staying at the Bristlecone. Also, we traveled with our small dog and she was welcome on the property. Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations.
Even though it's a old hotel the rooms are completely modernized I was really close to the lift though so you did have some ambient noise from that. The great thing is you get free breakfast at Denny's and they give you a ticket for a glass of wine or beer in the bar in the evening.
The bed could have been a little bit comfortable for my taste but all in all it was a good night.
The room was comfortable, the shower was excellent. The towels were some of the nicest hotel towels I've ever used. The room was in the annex building across the street from the main building, which was great. It was quiet and away from the crowds of the casino. Close to good restaurants and relatively convenient to Great Basin National Park.
Hotel exterior and lobby are decorated with lots of interesting and fun things to look at. Room was very nice.
Ate twice in the restaurant. Breakfast was decent but not great. Dinner was exceptional. We both enjoyed Mexican dishes and mine (Margarita's Fajitas) was truly great!

Ely is an interesting, historic town. The hotel is situated in the old city center and is a good base for walking to restaurants and other nearby attractions. Staff were very helpful in directing us to nearby places of interest.
Holiday Inn is always a safe bet when selecting a place to stay. Great location with a casino next door and not inside the hotel itself, which is greatly appreciated.
We have been to several hotel/motels during COVID. Breakfast was part of the price in each. LaQuinta was the only hotel that provided that service, and it was great.
Typical chain hotel. Nothing to write home about, but nothing wrong either. Clean, staff were good. No casino onsite, so quiet inside (which we wanted).
