There were many things that my daughter and I liked at this hotel but mentioned a few.
1. The range of choices for breakfast and dinner. We were spoilt for choice. On our 1st night for dinner, Maria, our waitress, showed us what's on the menu telling us to eat as much as we like. We 1st took a small plate, but she said to us, "Take a large plate." We blamed her for how we over ate, but we were well satisfied. She said you're on holiday so we want to spoil you and we were spoilt.
2. I felt a cold coming on and requested for lemon twice at breakfast. A whole lemon was given to me both times, so I was able to have a lemon and honey tea, which really helped, and my health was much better as the cold left me. That was really good as I felt it wasn't too much to ask for because it was given if they had it.
3. We were able to leave our luggage at the back of reception as we had a late night flight, and we were able to use all the hotel facilities. An extra bonus, we were able to use the treatment room for getting dressed for our night flight, which showed how much we were accommodated.
4. The sea view from our balcony made us see the sun rise, which was so beautiful. For this reason alone, I will come back to this hotel as it was such a beautiful Seaview location.
5. The pool service for drinks. We didn't have to get up from our pool lounge to get a drink unless we wanted or had to, as the waitress was there to help us, which was so much more relaxing.
6. The sun umbrellas 🏖 at the beach were good as we were shaded from the sun. The natural dried sea leaves made a comfortable bed for us to lie down and relax at the beach.
7. The hotel was not overcrowded, so we felt we had our own private gym as we were the only ones there in the early morning and private beach as well.
8. The cleanliness all around was great. Even the pool and beach toilet with changing areas were immaculate.

This gem of an oceanfront resort is world away from the bustle of Athens yet close to Athens airport (25 min by taxi)! We stayed here twice, each for one night between flights. We preferred the rooms in the building closest to the restaurant/spiral staircase which seemed more spacious and had access to the better pool.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful! Complementary icy cold white wine was welcome on the hot evening when we arrived. Staff honoured our party's request for adjacent rooms. We even had a shared oceanfront balcony! The complementary full breakfast was delicious! It included everything one could dream of, from charcuterie and cheeses to salad to eggs to pastries and - a breakfast first for us - Ice cream and cake!
Situated along the Marathon route boasting a magnificent setting where the ancient Greek spirit lives on, this hotel features a welcoming atmosphere.

The general location was in the area we wanted considering where we were going next. There was a swimming pool and plenty of seating in the beautiful gardens. Car parking was also important and this was ideal. Staff were friendly and there was always a welcome from the hotel parrot! Breakfast was fine with wonderful views from the restaurant.

A wonderful old fashioned hotel with all the comforts that you need including an elevator and street parking. I used it for a quick access to the airport which was perfect.

The hosts were very nice and we had an absolutely comfortable check in. The view to the sea is stunning. We had a beautiful balcony with lots of privacy. The apartment is perfectly equipped and very cosy and clean. One hears the sea shore while sleeping, we had a wonderful stay. The area has a lot to offer too, very good restaurants and beautiful beaches.

Helpful with directions to local restaurants. The hotel was super clean and fresh, our room had good view of the sea, clean, bed was comfortable.

Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out.
Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out. Good food and a small local shop. The hotel is around 40 minutes to Athens town, taxi's are between 35 to 40€. 48€ if you book through the hotel. Local bus is hourly but to get to Athens you'd need to change and then get a train. We only went into Athens for one day via taxi and crammed everything in. If you book a return taxi it's cheaper. Athens Site-seeing, markets and local shops are fabulous. We walked around Mati but it's in the suburbs so no site-seeing. but our holiday was to relax and Mati hotel was perfect for that. We'd go again.

We liked the pool and beach view from our room.
We liked the pool and beach view from our room. We liked the outdoor dining option overlooking the beautiful Aegean Sea and good waiter service. We really liked our early morning swim in the lovely warm sea, on our last day in Greece before the long flight back to Australia. That was a highlight. I would recommend Mati as a relaxing option outside of the hectic city centre of Athens. I wished we’d stayed there longer.

Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
For arriving or leaving Greece a nice stop. Also if you want to avoid loosing days by travelling by boat or plane to all kind of holiday locations in Greece it is a nice alternative as the coast at Mati is nice and the views are the same as on many Greek Islands.
Use your money to rent a car and visit the Peloponesos and Athens at your doorstep.
Mati is a quiet and small village without many stores.

A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
Hotel breakfast staff are really nice.
The gym is bit small and around the hotel very few activities as there only 2-3 restaurant and only one small shop available. Nearest supermarket is about 50min walk.
Also, if you don’t have a car then getting to Athens is not easy by using public transport as you have to take a bus and then underground. The bus service is not good as they don’t seem to run according to a particular timetable. Most of the time we had to wait 30-50min by the bus stop and then bus journey to nearest underground another 50min.

From the airport, it takes 20-25 min.
From the airport, it takes 20-25 min. Cost by taxi is €40, which should taken under consideration when booking for justba stopover. However, from the airport to Athens is €45-50 and very close 4* hotels seems not to be if checking via Booking.com
Kristen, the owner, is lovely and very helpful. The property is new and spotless clean, one of the best we ever stayed at in Greece. Bedding and towels smelled fresh and clean. Fully equipped kitchen and amazing patio garden. Pity we were there only for few hours overnight to catch an early plane, so we didn't get to explore the area or the beach. One amazing restaurant nearby. Very quiet being in a residential area surrounded by fields but 12mins away from the beach. We'll definitely go back if we happen to be in that area again.
Mati Hotel is our favourite place to stay and we have been going there for some years now. On our annual trips to Greece. The staff are lovely, friendly and really helpful. The location is great, right on the coast with fantastic views over the bay of Marathon and Evia. It’s quiet and peaceful and there’s a beautiful large swimming pool. The decor is tasteful with some nice antique and art deco pieces. Very handy for the airport and the port of Rafina too, they will arrange taxi transfers for you. Excellent value for money.
Rooms are new, great beds, nice design, great view, nice pool and small private beach (couldn't be used due to weather...), Nice breakfast with selection for everyone. The team was super nice and willing to assist. Location was great and peaceful out of the city but not too far (we parked the car in a metro parking lot and took a metro from there to the center). Less than half hr drive from the airport so easy to reach flights on time. For families - connecting rooms are available which is great.
We stayed here twice, mainly because it's close to Athens airport AND Rafina port (€12 taxi from hotel to port, about €25 from hotel to airport if the driver uses the fare meter correctly), and also because it's not expensive.
Miami Hotel is not a luxury/ design hotel, it's a bit old, but it has a nice lobby and terrace, super friendly staff + comfortable rooms, and a decent breakfast was included. We would definitely stay here again!
Loved the location; close enough to Rafina Port and the Airport. Perfect base camp for exploring Greece; lots more to this great country than Athens which is not far away as well.
The hotel is comfortable and the staff is welcoming! As stated in numerous reviews, they do go out of their way to accommodate you.
Wonderful location by the water with great views of the port. We were on the third floor. Excellent in room wifi. Nice restaurants, other hotels and even an outdoor movie theater within 2 block walk. Overall a beautiful and clean facility with friendly hospitable staff. And a really good value!
I had a blast at Hotel Ramada! The staff there were super cool and friendly. They hooked us up with a welcome gift and even threw in a free dinner as a farewell treat. Plus, they upgraded our room to the swanky premium category without charging us extra. That was awesome!
.
Everything is amazing. Restaurant. Facilities. Service. Room. Receptionists Alexsandra and Mariana are super nice. I have been to Greece a lot of times every year this is a place definitely would like to come back
place is excellent with near by restaurants and mini marts, the view and the rooms are very comfortable ... little far away from the city but a good place for a break ...
