Hotel Gentile, hotel in Agerola

Featuring a traditional restaurant, Hotel Gentile is set in the historic center of Agerola. It offers classic-style rooms with a TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries.

We were quite surprised and absolutely impressed that the hotel owner actually walked from the hotel to the bus stop to greet us. Prior to our arrival from Amalfi he texted to ensure we were on the correct bus and that we got off at the correct stop. He walked us back to the hotel and straight to our room. The room was large and very clean, had the usual amenities, and included a balcony where we could see the activities in the small town square. We believe it was the family patriarch that looked for us the next morning as we sat on a local bench near the hotel just taking in the morning. He invited us to the dining room behind the hotel for a wonderful breakfast that included entirely too much food for two of us.

There are beautiful view points near the hotel, great local restaurants in walking distance and easy access to the path of the gods trail. Great breakfast.

If you are expecting a quiet mountain village look elsewhere. Of course it is not as crowded as Amalfi an Positano, but it still has a lot of traffic going through. The streets are very narrow and there is virtually no pedestrian infrastructure.

A quite but beautiful quaint town high up the mountain from Amalfi. Sonia was so wonderful along with her family, making us feel right at home. We added two more days because we loved it so much and didn’t want to leave. She helped us with places to see and our iternary for the path of gods. Thank you so much for all your kindness and the great memories we will cherish forever. A super hostess!

It is a small town on the hills of Amalfi, one hour away from any beach city. The people are very friendly, it is a quite small town with cozy restaurants and great food, more suitable for a silent rest than the beach resorts.

The location very nice, like in the mountains.

The location very nice, like in the mountains. A good location to visit Amalfi coast, although not straight on the shore. Around 1.5h drive to Positano, quite similar times to Amalfi and Ravello, +\- 10 mins. Be prepare to mostly eat pizza, not many restaurants in Agerola and mostly well rated are Pizzerias.

The view from the hotel is so amazing, it's worth it to spend time on the patio just admiring the view to the ocean with the boats and to Amalfi and all the way to Capri. From our bedroom we could also see the ocean all the way to Capri which was super cool. Walking distance to the Path of Gods hike and to the charming village. The breakfast is the best breakfast in Italy with a huge variety. It's family owned and they go above and beyond to make your trip pleasant.

Everything was great! Rooms space and location. The breakfast was delicious and the dinner as well. The family that runs the B&B are really friendly and inviting people and they're always able to help you with whatever question you have. The homemade wine and limoncello was amazing and the views and ambiance were breathtaking. I would gladly recommend and stay their again if I'm ever traveling to Amalfi/Agerola.

Manuela was very welcoming. Her B&B is warm and beautiful with a magnificent mountain view of Agerola and the Amalfi Coast. The place was clean, fresh and cozy. Manuela was very helpful and accommodating; she prepares a nice breakfast and after learning of my food allergies, she went out of her way to find me gluten-free bread, crackers and croissant, which she told me I could take with me once we checked out.

Very clean room, nice bathroom and a balcony with a mountain view. Tasty breakfast with cheese, ham, vegs and pastries, fruits and juices. A very good coffee :) Also there is a yard with some sunbeds. Located in village with local trattorias and restaurants. There is an opportunity to book a shuttle bus from Agerola to Amalfi and back for a one-day-travel. Giusy is very friendly and helpful host :)

A wonderful gem hidden in the mountains above Amalfi. The hotel is truly wonderful. The view is breathtaking from the hotel. The staff was also very helpful and polite. There’s also parking available on premises. The breakfast was very nice and the lady was considerate enough to make warm omelette. The room is well equipped and comfortable and you also get a balcony to relax. Truly worth the price.

absolutely gorgeous and newly renovated, checked in very late at night and the owner came right over within 5 minutes to perfectly accommodate us. He also owns a restaurant in the town square which was some of the best food we ate our whole 2 week stay throughout Italy. will be looking forward to coming back and staying next year again.
