Wonderful staff! The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed relaxing on our balcony overlooking the sea and also on the property grounds. It was just what we were looking for after a busy time at Croatia's wonderful parks.
Hotel Jadran is located on the coast 0.6 mi from the center of Rijeka, boasting simply decorated accommodations mostly with a balcony and views of the Kvarner Bay.

The most amazing view of the Adriatic Sea from the lobby, restaurant, and our rooms. Lovely to leave the balcony door open for the air and breeze. The breakfast buffet was sooo delicious! So many things to try! Staff was super nice and helpful.

Rijeka is an industrial city and a port, so only parts of it...
Rijeka is an industrial city and a port, so only parts of it are picturesque, but it is an interesting place anyway, and was a European capital of culture. The Korzo is a lovely pedestrianised street in the centre with shops and restaurants. There is a long promenade out of the marina which is worth a walk and affords good views of the city and Kvarner bay. I arrived by intercity coach from Zagreb which takes 2.5 hours and costs between £6 and £13, plus £1.30 for each item of large luggage (air conditioned and comfortable). While I was there I travelled by local bus (10A) to two beaches to the east of the city - Sablicevo and one of the many beaches near Kostrena. They are pebbly and clean and the water is lovely - avoid stepping on sea urchins and consider taking beach shoes for swimming. The many beaches near Kostrena are linked by a tarmac pedestrian path above the bays, and it's nice to wander and choose a beach or several, although it is a longish walk all the way along. There are beach bars and toilets at some of these beaches. I would say it's worth getting the bus out in this direction if you have time, it's just a little bit nicer out of the city (and although you're never out of sight of the industrial elements such as the thermoelectric plant, oil refinery, shipyards, it doesn't spoil the experience). To use the local buses you can buy tickets at a kiosk or online but I couldn't work either of these out so I paid in cash (the only option) when I boarded the bus. There are two bus stations - one for intercity coaches (Autobusni Koldvor) and one for local buses (Autotrolej Delta).

A beautiful town, pleasant and hospitable people, wonderful mixture of mediterranean and continental climate, charming mixture of cultural influences. Full of well planted and maintained plants, parks, and gardens. Glorious artistic, technical and cultural history. Industrial heritage exceptional, well preserved and presented.

It's a great city with pedestrian friendly streets.
It's a great city with pedestrian friendly streets. I mostly enjoyed Trsat Castle, Sablićevo beach and Submarine burger restaurant.
One of the central city locations - Mrtvi kanal - smells bad.
But I think I spent too much time here and I wish I spent more time in Rovinj which was even more amazing.

Accomodation is brilliant.
Accomodation is brilliant. Close to the city centre where you can find everything. Beach is also very close if you without a car you can always take a bus and it takes just few minutes to get there... very satisfied. The flat is clean with every supplier you need. Emma is great 🙂 Thanks for a great accomodation through our stay in Rijeka 👍😉
The apartement is very modern and exceptionally clean! The owners were very nice and friendly. We went for carnival when the parking was impossible to find and the owner offered to reserve a spot for us and waited for us to arrive and park there. The owner was very hospital and cared that we had a good time in Rijeka. The communication with the owner was also impeccable! Would recommend this place to anyone and it is super close to center
breakfast had everything you need, food off all sorts, drinks ( water, coffee, juice ), personal was very friendly and spoke good english.. was very easy to communicate there, the location was very good aswell, 30 min walk from rijeka city center, you had 10 min walk from rijeka tower ( super big mall ) and from the hotel you can go down to 1st floor to enter the sea, if you wanted the beach it was only a 3 min walk
The stay in Hilton Costabella was a birthday gift for a friend and her boyfriend. They had an amazing time. Staff really stepped up and upgraded their room to deluxe, as well as left my friend a birdhday card in the room, champagne and some macaroons. It was an amazing surprise. They loved everything about hotel. Amazing location, great staff and facilities. Highly recommended!
Absolutely everything! Ivica, the host was super polite, lead us straight to the apartment over the phone. Apartment was fairly small, but super clean and functional. Absolutely no complaints or regrets. Famous Croatian politeness and hospitality. Next time we're in Rijeka, and need temporary accommodation, we'll be looking to book this same one. 10 out of 5, clean!
Location is situated near city center altough is right across heavy load railway terminal there was no noise from it.
Room is small, no kitchen but has nice table and tea selection with electric kettle. It is a room like hotel room, clean and reasonably comfortable with tv and wi-fi althogh i haven't used it due to my own mobile connectiton.
Very kind host.
The hotel is situated near the very center of the town of Rijeka (Fiume). Very important feature of the Hotel "Neboder" is a free-of-charge parking - either in the Hotel's garage or directly in the front of the entrance to the Hotel.
The personnel is very kind. Buffet-type breakfast is very abundant.
Generally, it was a lovely stay.
- Situated absolute in the centre
- Perfect digitalized door with an easy check in process (nearby the hotel). You could leave the place without a formal check out process. It is super easy and if you stay overnight its very practical
- Nice enteriour
- It is perfect for a 4 member family (with two older child)
The hotel looks and feels as luxury, but “run out” hotel. As typical International brands (Hilton) design. However it kept very clean and functional, very large rooms, extremely nice staff (especially the duty manager on our check in) and reach breakfast. Great central location. It was a great choice.
We needed to stay in Rijeka for 1 night. This apartment fits perfectly. It is near the main bus station and the city center, but still in a quiet street. And there is an elevator in the house. The combination is quite rare for Rijeka. The host was nice too.
The location is good, very clean. The owner is very friendly and pleasant. He met us and treated us to drinks. When leaving the hotel I was given a small present, which was very nice. If we go to Rijeka, then only to this hotel. I recommend:)))
Very clean apartment with comfy bed and sheets, great bathroom and cute and functional
small kitchen. Location was awesome, 2 min walk to main korzo and public parking. We managed to get later checkout. Very helpful and approachable staff.
Everything is perfect! The location is the best, which is close to the old town and all the main attractions 😍
The owner is very friendly and nice - it is easy to communicate with them!
100% recommend to everyone who came to Rijeka!
Spacious apartment and well equipped – perfect for a few days in Rijeka. Location is not central, but we didn't mind because we were using car. Communication with Vesna was very easy and pleasant. Highly recommended!
Location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, working air conditioning. Upon request, we were checked in earlier than expected. We thank the staff for their loyalty and friendliness. I recommend this hotel.
Everything was great, the room is clean, it has all the necessary amenities and the cutest little balcony for drinking coffee. If I come back to Rijeka, I will definitely book this again!
Very nice and clean apartment with everything you might need, including dishwasher and washing machine.
Nicely situated in the center of Rijeka, old town at short walking distance.
The view was amazing and the apartment is spacious. It has two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a balcony. It is very close to the center of Rijeka.
