Featuring 5 different Japanese baths, traditional foods and 2 saunas, Jomon no Yado Manten is just 200 metres from Yakushima Airport and a 45-minute drive from the Shiratani Unsuikyo Ravine. The location couldn't be better, it is literally across the street from the airport. Bus stops are very plentiful nearby and the hotel staff is very well versed in showing you exactly which buses you need to get to your destination on the island. They are able to call taxis for you if necessary as well. All around wonderful location and very helpful staff!

A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. Friendly and warm host. Ready to provide you with local information, help make reservations, and share Yakushima's beauty. The space felt more homey as the owner was very warm and inviting. Thank you very much!

The little pension is run by a lovely grandma and grandpa. Very welcoming, even though there was a language barrier, as they do not speak English, we managed to get the point across via translation apps. They offer yummy breakfast and can prepare nice bento for you if you ask for it for lunch. The location is great, near the airport, however car is optimal for the best experience. The location of the pension is close to all of the main routes and key activities. We were staying in the private bathroom room and were happy with the facilities.

Ecquiped with Google translator and brought me late at night to grocery shop! Such a lovely plave in the nature. Recommended!!

At Cottage Morinokokage, guests can rent out a cottage with a hammock. Free WiFi is available in the guest rooms. There was a shoe dryer and a melody device near the toilet for the privacy. It also had a massaging device and the shared laundry was free of charge. The blankets were warm. There was a shared room with vending machines for drinks and one machine for quick meals. It had microwave and a toaster. The host was friendly and they let us check in 1 hour earlier. Towels were provided for each day of our stay, also toothbrushes with a tiny paste, hygiene products and sponges. The bathroom was awesome and I loved the body soap, shampoo, and a conditioner that was provided. It was easy to find the facility from the road, as it has clear signs of where to turn. A large grocery store Ban Chan was 4 minutes drive away.

If you come to Yakoshima with the ferry, it's not that far away from Anbo and easy to get there of foot, and with the bus as well! The accomodation is clean, cozy, it embraces the nature.
