Villa Yasmin býður upp á gistirými í Watamu. We couldn't have wished for a better experience during our stay in Watamu. Communicating with the hosts, Mohammed and Kassim, was very easy, and our arrival went smoothly. The location is unbeatable, as it's very close to the beach, as well as to the main road where all the shops are. Despite all the hotspots being so easily accessible, the location of the house is super peaceful. The house itself is well decorated, clean and well-equipped. Everything works as expected, the beds were super comfy and the ceiling fans ensured we slept well despite the heat of Watamu. The best part of the house is really the host, Kassim. He was there for whatever we needed, often anticipating our desires. He was always reachable, and offered us delicious Swahili dishes for lunch and dinner which his wife cooked accompanied by the best pineapple juice I've ever tried. He was easy to talk to, always ready to listen and extremely amicable. I can't wait to come back to Watamu, to Villa Yasmin and to see Kassim and his family again. Asante!

Location was good, although not very close to the beach. The close proximity to the swimming pool made an attractive alternative. A social and friendly environment, staff were extremely helpful.

Very engaging hosts, and beautiful pool and house. Easy to get around, and just a short walk from most wonderful beach. Highly recommendable.

Tembo Beach Cottage is a 15 minute drive from the airport, but not really walking distance from central Malindi. The cottage is part of a larger 'resort' with about 8-10 similar cottages around the pool and more short-term stays owned by locals or foreigners nearby. The area is secluded from the public with a manned gate and staff guarding the beach entrance. There larger complex area appears to be for events such as weddings, etc. Checkin was fairly straightforward, showing up at the gate, signing in, and telling the guards my room number and host name. The cottage itself was wonderful, clean, and comfortable. The shower was a little finicky with the hot water but I figured it out. The WiFi was fast and there is an internet TV. Besides the pool, the best part is the front, covered patio area perfect for breakfast or reading! Considered a beachfront property, it take about five minutes to walk through the compound and across the wide, public beach to the water. Get up early for a beautiful sunrise!
