The B&B is located in a beautiful Victorian house, with a authentic view. The room ia very large, comfortable and luxurious. We enjoyed very much the rich and exquisit breakfast prepared by Louise and especially Martin's company and hospitality. Thank you Louise and Martin for the many little things that made our stay wonderful.

Our stay at The Gordon Guest House was perfect! We got an upgrade to suite room which offered us an amazing view of the mountain in the morning. The suite room had luxurious jacuzzi and a very big bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was set at a cozy temperature. We felt very welcome. The breakfast was made as per choice. It was prepared by the hosts themselves. The delicious breakfast made our morning and we had a very good start of the day, enroute to starting our NC500 journey. Beth and Steve are great hosts and we had a very engaging conversation on topics such as Indian music, Scottish Highland life. We would definitely come back again if we visit Ballater. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved this accommodation and the host Helen and her employee Lisa! Enjoyed chatting with them about our day and having a good laugh. And the breakfast was the best we have every had! Kept us going all day! Highly recommend this property! If I am ever in the area again I will definitley stay here!

My stay at Balmoral Arms was perfect. It’s true that hotel itself is very traditional but the room and also the bathroom was very well furnished, spacious and super clean ..so if you would like to feel old times with a perfect service, this is the best choice :) If you come by car you can park in the free parking which is directly opposite the hotel. The hotel’s location is excellent if you want to visit Balmoral castle, Royal Lochnagar Destillery or just make a tour into the beautiful hills around. Staff at the reception was inctedibly nice and supportive so I definitely recommend and hope I will come here again. Thank you!

A lovely, remodelled building in central Ballater. Lynn and Steve were excellent hosts. The rooms were the perfect size for our needs and the facilities were clean and comfortable. A great breakfast to get started in the morning.

Very nice operator/owner who has done a great job of renovating this property to very high standards. The breakfast is fabulous. As this property is a little out of town one must have transportation, but it’s close to town so returning there for suppers etc is easy 😎

Great property in an amazing location. The welcome glass of wine was a nice touch but the main reason I would stay again, is the service levels. The owners really went above an beyond to make sure we were happy. Will definitely recommend to a friend!
