Wisteria Guest House felt like a home away from home. The Bedroom and communal Room were very cute and cozy (the homemade cookies were a delight!). The Garden felt like a green haven. And our biggest highlight was of course Steve, the cuddly wisteria cat!

Michael was a lovely host, we arrived late at night and he had the sauna and steam room all heated up for us. The place is very quiet and serene!

Every morning a surprise breakfast with home baked scones, muffins bread and pretty to look at. The hot tub I had all to .myself in my garden. I enjoyed it especially at night under the stars. Sue and Chris are wonderful hosts making me feel at home.

Set in Ganges in the Salt Spring Island region, Thistle Dew Cottage has a balcony. This guest house offers free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. The Cottage was fantastic, just what I needed for my solo visit to Salt Spring Island. Well equipped with essential food and snacks and washing equipment, which was very handy for me as I biked from Victoria and packed light. The bed was so comfy and the cottage has a real charm to it, the photos don't do it justice! Location is great for Ganges and there are some nice trails nearby. The Salt Spring Wild Cider house is on the doorstep and a visit here is a must. The food and cider are amazing. The owner Pauline is one of the loveliest people I have ever met, a true Canadian gem! Her life story is amazing, she is a mine of information and she goes well out of her way for people. I really hope to be back some day soon!

We liked the ambience... relaxed olden times style. The old photos and history of the inn. We enjoyed the front patio and the delicious meal/drinks. The shared bathrooms were quaint, but we never had to wait for the loo or the shower. Definite "thumbs up" and would stay here again.

Breakfast was indifferent but after check- in there was time to go to a store to get what was necessary. I liked seeing the stars at night. I liked how cozy the suite was and how well equipped the kitchen and bathroom were.

The breakfast baskets were delicious, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the feeling of being tucked away in the forest was perfect for a week away from the city.
