room was comfortable and as expected albeit a little outdated and minor maintenance required on some of the cabinets. For me the location was the drawcard as i needed accommodation close to Macquarie Uni Hospital. The uni grounds were relaxing and picturesque.
Having an onsite restaurant was also convenient.

Large comfortable room. Bed was not too hard or too soft, so a good night sleep. Facilities are good and location is quick walk to Macquarie Park shopping centre and the Metro for public transport.
Also staff were lovely and helpful in letting me keep my car there while I dealt with some matters in the city.

I liked that it was in a leafy part of town and close to access for the M1 and north Conex. also that there was a McDonalds nearby and that the station was only a 10-15min walk away and close enough to the city and also to the metro to not be too far to get to.
It is pretty easy to find just follow pennant hills road up from the motorway....
to avoid any road noise, get a room on the rail side of the hotel at IBIS pr car park facing on the northern side... train meanwhile is about every 15 during the day and Epping not far away to then connect to the metro or the Newcastle train if u want a faster trip....
all in all, a lovely area to stay in... :)

Staff were very courteous and helpful.
Staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was basic but quiet, clean and comfortable reflecting the very reasonable daily tariff. My only criticism was a ten dollar per day surcharge on car parking and which was not clear or obvious on Booking.com website. Would stay again when in Sydney and would recommend to friends and family. Thornleigh was easy to access but limited in places to eat.

While we are in lockdown, staying in Thornleigh is a brilliant move. This suburb has historically had very low rates of Covid. If you want to avoid the standard chain hotel set-up, staying in this unit is a great move. This is also a short drive to the business hubs in Epping, Ryde, Chatswood. The hills, bush, and birds are as beautiful as in the nearby Lane Cove National Park.

We have stayed here quite often over the past 2 years. It has certainly gone down recently, but we like its close proximity to Newcastle expressway, a Bunnings store and two very good Asian restaurants for evening meals.

Easy access, convenient location.
Easy access, convenient location. Dependable standard of comfort and convenience. Would be interested to know if Thornleigh Ibis is likely to be pet friendly as we have a small dog I would love to have with us on short trips.
Ibis is a budget hotel, you cannot expect luxurious facilities. I prefer it over others because of cost. This Ibis hotel is located at the north end of Sydney. It is good an overnight stay for travellers heading to Brisbane. Close to A1 motorway. Close to some good restaurants and there is a huge 24 hrs McDonalds next to it. Check in and check out process was smooth. Was surprised to know the parking was not free and there were ample of parking spots vacant.
The restaurant was good, both for brekkie and supper. I love that they have books available and the are in the lobby was great to meet people and pass the time.
I also liked very much that the hotel has a guest laundry.
The staff are this hotel’s best asset. Everyone I came into contact with was so welcoming and nice. They displayed patience and always with a smile. The bed was comfortable. The heater in the room worked well.
The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean, the hotel was quiet and suited our needs for the weekend, the staff were helpful and I was grateful to get a triple room.
Staff were excellent. Rooms were clean and good for the price point.
Food was very good for the level of hotel.
Location suited me, being very near the San hospital
Room was quiet despite being near major road and railway. Breakfast and meals were reasonably with good choice. Great having a few restaurants a short walk away.
