Trebinje is a nice option for those who would like to see and experience more than just Sarajevo and Mostar. Trebinje is a nice little city hidden in the mountains. Take a slow walk around the city, enjoy the views of an old bridge (I would say it's probably even more beautiful that the one in Mostar) and relax.

Trebinje is a sweet little town on a beautiful river surrounded by mountains. There is so much local food here and everyone is very kind. The daily market in the plaza is a must and make sure to visit the cheese shop as well. Take a walk up the hills to visit the churches or rent a kayak for a leisurely paddle on the river. We loved Trebinje!

Trebinje is a gem.
Trebinje is a gem. It boasts the old town with restaurants, a magnificent position with the clean river flowing through it, and pleasant people. We did not have the time to explore the area around Trebinje, but on our way out we saw that there is plenty to visit and enjoy.

Trebinje and its surrounding offer many interesting sites...
Trebinje and its surrounding offer many interesting sites for culture vultures.
Hercegovacka Gracanica is not only a beautiful, famous church, but also a place where remains of Jovan Ducic were buried. Since the building is on the top of the mountain, you have a breathtaking view of Trebinje from there.
Monastery Tvrdos has an interesting interior, because one part of its floor is made of glass, so one can see the old base of the monastery, which is so unbelievable. The monastery produces its own wine - we tried it and it's excellent!
Museum of Herzegovina is a spectacular three-story building in the old town and its exhibits range from 1st century AD to present days.
Everything is near. If you like hiking, you can walk. If you are not a walker, take a taxi - for average of 3 euros you can get everywhere.

Trebinje is a very picturesque city.
Trebinje is a very picturesque city. The old city, the old mosque, the beautiful river, the bridges, restaurants and a fantastic museum. The general atmosphere is realxed and the people is very welcoming. It is a very nice change from the general mediocrity of the tourist spots. Food is fantastic and prices very reasonable. The place is authentic and the locals are nice for real. Check the market. The valley where Trebinje is located is like out of a movie, surrounded by tall mountains with a river going across the middel of the valley. The surroundings are full of places for sightseeing like old stone villages, monateries, etc and it is only 1/2 hour away from Dubrovnik and aproximately 45 minutes to Herceg Novi in Montenegro. Leaving the EU, its crazy prices and stupid regulations and entering Hercegovina feels like travelling back to the happy 80s and 90s. Great deal.
Hosts were very friendly.
They are nice people who will welcome you and pay attention to you. You will receive recommendations on what to see in the town of Trebisnjica. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is great and in just 7-8 minutes you are at the famous Platani without having to move your car from the parking lot.
Hosts are producing their own wine and rakija so you can taste it and buy if you like it.
We will come again!!
A charming boutique hotel in the quiet and lush countryside. The family room was large, very clean, very comfortable and peaceful. We checked in very late and were kindly provided with homely prepared bread and cheese to stave off our hunger until breakfast time. A choice of sweet and savory breakfast for offered, plate size was generous and was eaten alfresco. A wonderful and welcoming experience for our 1st stay in Bosnia. Thank you.
Great apartment in a wonderful location just a few minutes walk into the city; the hosts are kind and even let me check in early (thank you so much), the apartment is new and has everything you need for a short or long stay, it looks even better than the photos and is equipped with everything to make the stay peaceful and comfortable. Highly recommended to anyone visiting beautiful Trebinje.
This is my second stay at Apartman Pazin, but this time for business. As it was a month ago - excellent. Dragan is excellent host. For all you need, he is there. Location, space, cleanliness, bathroom, kitchen - everything was perfect. Great value for the money. I don't need to look for different stay when I am in Trebinje.
Apartment location is great - close to Platani and old city. View from the balcony is amazing. Everything is new and we have our own parking place in front of the building. There is a grocery store and bakery 2 minutes from the apartment. Host is very kind and helpful. We will come back again.
The owner is super nice and we communicated easily. The apartment is spacious, even bigger than it looks in the pictures. It has a huge balcony too! Very clean, smells nice, and has everything you need and even more! Definitely coming back as soon as we decide to visit Trebinje.
Željka is a phenomenal host, kind and ready to help with anything. The apartment was spotless, it has absolutely everything you need, it's quiet and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and we'll come back again whenever we're in Trebinje!
This is a hotel which has been superbly designed with lovely modern and contemporary details. The reception staff, especially, Jouana (hope I get the spelling right) was one of the most friendly I found on my trip to Balkans.
The Hotel is great, in the middle of Old Town, close to everything. The staff was kind, rooms nice and clean, service excellent, food was delicious. Definitely a place to stay while in Trebinje. 10 out of 10.
Location was excellent, the staff were lovely very helpful. Food was excellent, we had our evening meal at the hotel as well, highly recommend the food. A lot of choices for breakfast.room large and clean.
Everything is perfect. Very large bathroom terrace as well. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone coming to Trebinje. It takes literally 5 minutes of easy walking to the center of the old town.
Our stay was great. The apartment is lovely, clean and spacious. It is a 10min walk from Trebinje center and the owner is very pleasant. When we come back to Trebinje this is where we will stay again!
Size of apartment, cleaness, kindness of host, near everything (but not at downtown).
