Location was perfect - easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go, and the shop and gas station on site was really handy! The facilities were unexpectedly good in the chalet, we really enjoyed the stay!

Pure luxury, this place was a treasure we will remember forever. Cabin absolutely beautiful with everything catered for, even a record player! Firepits were fantastic and the smell of coffee in reception was perfect! We would love to return one day, 3 nights was not long enough! Location great, we avoided the main spots for tourists as they were so busy but canmore and emerald lake were great trips.

If you stay in Banfu, I strongly recommend this hotel. Especially book the mountain view room.
You'll see the best scenery. I'll stay here next time.
And all the staff are kind. Thank you for Rudson's kind guidance. It also lends Bear spray and teaches you how to use it in detail. Thank you.

Great place to stay to see a unique treasure -Moraine Lake - without all the daytime crowds around. Nice cabins with wood fires and lovely views. The food was first class and although the accomodation is expensive, dinner was reasonably priced and a cooked breakfast is included.
I can't say enough about the amazing staff! Friendly, accommodating, and understanding. I went for the long weekend with my family that included my 2 year old granddaughter. We arrived a little early & though we were prepared to wait till check in time, we were told our unit was cleaned and we could get in right away. Since I had called ahead regarding sleeping options for the 2 year old, a playpen was there on arrival. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of firewood left as well, as seeing more on the porch the next day. The only slight disappointment was finding out the hot tub was removed during covid. Other than that, it was an amazing, extremely comfortable stay.

Overall stay in this area is great than staying in the chain hotel for the purpose of enjoying the real Banff park style. This cabin area is convenient in driving to Lake Louise and Banff town. I wished my reservation on single cabin was granted as a dream came true, but when we checked in, the clerk handed us a second floor apartment room key. I questioned why not single cabin, but it is what it is. The apartment building was nice , but just not what I have been dreamed when I made the reservation.

Disliked · Our cabin wasn't cleaned before we checked in: hair in the shower, dirty floors, candy left under the gas stove, gas stove didn't work the first night and we had to let reception know so someone could come in to fix it for our 2nd night so we didn't have to freeze another night, light bulb hanging from the ceiling, cabin wasn't cleaned during our 2-day stay, the upper waterfall and ink pots paths were closed for construction and we were not notified at booking or when we hiked the path until we got to those trails (we stayed at Johnson Canyon because we wanted to see the upper falls and ink pots too), way too many tour buses with tourist going up and down the falls trail leading to congestion on the trail. Johnson Canyon hike has turned into a Disney Land type of place with lineups and way too many people on the trail at one time. I wouldn't recommend going or staying there.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a private cabin, close to the mountains and the adventurous you can have there. It is also great if you travel with your furkids. You have your own parking spot, kitchenette, and bathroom with a wee tub for hot soaks at the end of a long, active day. The bed is a bit soft and a bit small, since it is only a full size bed. Overall, a great place to stay and we would stay again.

The trek to the waterfalls was amazing and very safe.
The trek to the waterfalls was amazing and very safe. Busy but what a pleasure to see! The staff was polite, attentive, and helpful. The food was amazing! The room was not up to a satisfactory standard as it was dirty and there was a layer of dust over everything. The bedsheets had stains on them regardless that they seemed to be clean. The bed was uncomfortable and it was extremely difficult to get a good night's sleep. There was a broken chair in the room that you had to be extremely careful when sitting on. The grounds were clean and beautiful outside. Overall I would recommend the stay because of the scenery and beauty. I would not recommend staying for the amount that we had to pay for an unacceptable room and cleanliness factor.

Right now with the Covid crisis there is limited vehicle traffic allowed on the Bow Valley Parkway. You can only drive there if you are staying at Johnston Canyon. We saw numerous people walking from the parking lot at the entrance of the parkway to Johnston Canyon, a distance of 6.4 km. and then having to walk back again at the end of the day. If they don't time it right people are trekking back exhausted and in the dark!!

The location was great, and the cabin was adorable! We knew going up it wasn’t going to be a 5 star hotel, so we adjusted our expectations accordingly. The location to the hiking path can’t be beat, and we took advantage of it by hiking to the ink pots. It was great cozy get away.
The location was fantastic! Central to Lake Louise/Moraine and Banff. The walk to the falls and the inkpots was wonderful! It was pretty quiet at night. Staff were friendly. The bistro served a terrific breakfast and was wonderful to have on site.
Loved the Chalet, lot’s of room and nice layout, room for everyone. Great FirePit area outside. Great for families. Location is close to Lake Louise and Banff.
Wonderful stay. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Nice place. Great stuff. Perfect location. Can’t sleep all night due to people snoring. Booked two night but checked out next day and booked a hotel in Calgary in order to have a good sleep
Convenient location. Close to most attractions in Banff national park. Kitchen is cozy and functional. The lobby area is clean and spacious. Best value in the area. Highly recommend.
The staff was helpful and even delivered a microwave to our bungalow when we asked for them to heat something up for us. The location was great, right between Banff and Lake Louise.
