The room, two queen beds, was lovely, One small night table held a great device that housed all kinds of plug -ins and charging receptacles. imho, each bed should have a separate light so that one can read and the other can sleep. Nice small fridge. View of the Citadel (Room 1626) and close to the elevator. Close to many places to eat. Quite pricey, especially the parking!!!! Fabulous breakfast!

Halifax is a very attractive port city with many old buildings and newer ones which are also well worth seeing. Great boat trip options, including the ferry to Dartmouth plus the highlight being the Harbor Hopper in Halifax which is an amphibious bus which starts off the tour on land and then goes into the sea. Much of historic interest is in Halifax, including the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic which has features on the Halifax explosion and the Titanic sinking. Also the citadel fort has much military history and great views. Halifax is a very walkable city which includes the pedways where you can walk between some shops and hotels without having to go outside to negotiate your way through the traffic on the way to somewhere e.g. the boardwalk and is also ideal if there is bad weather. The lovely boardwalk stretches almost 4 km in total and is brilliant for getting exercise and seeing the sights while walking down it, with plenty of free chairs to relax in along the way. Also there is a great central pub called The Split Crow and nice restaurants nearby in the central area.

I was there primarily to see "Mandy Patinkin in Concert", so I can't review Halifax for you, other than the driving experience... Street signage could be better in a lot of the downtown core... but yes to coming back to see more of it....

I've stayed in this city many times.
I've stayed in this city many times. Always lots to do no matter what your interests. It has a pretty vibrant night life, and I've always felt safe here, no matter where I walked. Lots of history, lots of night life, lots of dining options (Seafood is a MUST!!), lots of tours, museums, etc. I live in Ottawa, and Halifax easily compares in the museum and history aspects, and in some ways is even better. Go there. You won't be disappointed!!

Halifax is fantastic.
Halifax is fantastic. We travelled there 2 Septembers in a row (4 and 2 days respectively). if you stay downtown, you are able to walk to all the local attractions- we especially loved the boardwalk, citadel, and shopping downtown. Many many fabulous restaurants and museums. Also, fun to stay in Halifax proper and take excursions to local attractions( ie Peggy's Cove and Laurencetown beach) Prepare for rain - but this in no way detracts from having fun in this great city

If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour.
If you only have a bit of time do the harbour hoppers tour. Lots of historical information about Halifax. A tour of the Citadel, important or historical sites and a brief trip into the bay to see the Halifax Harbour. Two thumbs up and very reasonably priced.
Great location! Walking distance to downtown Dartmouth. Short car ride to downtown Halifax. The loft was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The code for the door was very nice and better than using keys or a key card. Host was very communicative, helpful, and attentive to our needs. We came from another country and didn’t have data and the host made sure we were still able to check in and get into the loft by giving us backup codes ahead of time.
We loved the apartment as it was spacious, very well equipped. Nice touch having bathrobes. The location was fantastic in a lovely neighbourhood, only a 20-minute walk to downtown Halifax. Fantastic balcony with floor to ceiling windows with a lovely view of the surrounding skyline. Great to have private parking. Would rate this property 5 star.
The location was perfect for all the landmarks and sites downtown. Plenty of things to do and see in the Halifax and surroundings area. The staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. There were plenty of places to eat out during the day and evening within 10 mins walk. A very good alternative to a conventional hotel accommodation.
A great place to stay in Halifax, within walking distance of the downtown attractions with considerably more charm & lower prices than the big hotels. Our room was large and welcoming. We appreciated the good-sized closet, the table & chairs by large windows, fun & funky decor, & access to the shared dining room all day.
The hotel is located in the central area of Downtown Halifax which makes it very convenient when going exploring throughout the city. The room was spacious with very comfortable beds and suitable appliances for long term stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
Clean and comfortable. Location is a bit out of the way as we didn't have a vehicle so we relied on ride sharing and was reasonable to downtown Halifax. Lots of kids in the hotel and it sounded like the pool area was popular. Breakfast was tasty too.
Beautiful spot in downtown Halifax. Great location for food and fun. Very quaint atmosphere. It was like having a little apartment in the city. The furniture was rustic, and the overall feel was of an older time and it was very relaxing.
Barrington hotel had low bookings due to covid so they rebooked us to Halifax Hotel. No problem with us as we’ve stayed there before. Gave us a nice corner room with water views on both sides. Love staying near the waterfront.
Perfectly located in downtown Halifax and about a block from the Granville Street Parkade.
And even though construction was ongoing, it was the cleanest location we have stayed in in the past three years.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. It's conveniently located for anyone with a car - it's a relatively short distance to the Halifax Downtown and a good base for visiting Peggy's Cove and the South Shore.
A very comfortable and ideally located hotel for visiting Halifax NS.
Reception staff helpful and cheerful (Cathy in particular was brilliant and the most friendly hotel receptionist we met in Canada).
Hotel was clean and in a great location to downtown Halifax. The price was extremely reasonable considering these things, and I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Halifax!
The Hotel is well situated for visiting downtown Halifax. The room at the Hotel was comfortable. A good size. Good storage, good shower and good wi-fil. Staff friendly and helpful.
Excellent value for money -very large apartment with exceptional views through the floor to ceiling windows. Close to downtown Halifax but also main routes out into Nova Scotia.
Perfect location, was clean and Exactly as described.
Easy to communicate with.
I’ll be back when need to go back to Halifax and want to enjoy downtown on the waterfront.
Excellent beds, easy parking, spacious room/bathroom, nice front desk staff. If you have a car, it’s a decent value compared to staying in downtown Halifax.
