The hotel was ideally located in the main square in Cesky Krumlov. The staff were very pleasant and there were plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was on the third floor which was the top floor and there were quite a number of stairs to walk up as there were no lifts. Although we could manage these stairs, some people might find them more difficult and if you feel this might be a problem, it might be advisable to see if you can arrange a room on a lower floor. The staff did however offer to carry any luggage up to the rooms.

The Ultimate Bohemian Rhapsody
The charm of this enchanting fairy tale city in the Czech Republic is best experienced during winter when snow covers magical Český Krumlov Castle. Lying along the banks of the Vltava River, the historic old town comes alive during summer when cafes and restaurants overflow with the influx of tourists.
The castle makes an imposing backdrop against narrow cobblestone streets and a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture in its old buildings. Choose an art gallery, museum or theatre like the 17th-century
Castle Baroque Theatre, located inside the castle’s beautiful gardens.
Walking around Český Krumlov’s historic streets is a journey back in time, and the best way to soak up its Bohemian atmosphere. Your walk can be easily interrupted at one of the many cafés, restaurants and bars serving local dishes and drinks.

I loved its architectural features and its wealth of museums. The meanders of the river give it a special charm. The central square(on which the hotel is located) is full of charm and a place of interesting activity.

Picturesque place,.it is a.must to.visit it, it is maybe my fifth time I come as it is a unique.place.
There are many places.to.go.for a walk, you only need to.go.and discover them!
There is an area with supermarkets out of.town but yoi.can go there on foot. However, If you don't have time for that walk, you will find some potraviny shops in town which are open till.late.
It is better to.go.in.summer because everytjing is open all day and you can explore.the place.in the day light.
You will feel you are in a fairy tale

I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again.
I hope I never have to see Český Krumlov again. If so, I'll stay in a campsite (though the penzion wasn't the problem); much better to visit on a canoe trip. Hideously high prices and and as few locals as in Venice. Gigabites of fake Instagram grins and very little of real interest. The Art Centre was a disappointment with few originals from Egon Schiele but the food: I have never seen so much profiteering with so little by way of quality or service culture. The travel hostel was the exception, though I hesitate to write this down unless it sees fit to gouge prices.
I liked the river and some of the walks. And it irritated me less on a Wednesday when many tourists had left.

In this period of the year the little town is very calmy and silent. Only bad experience that most of the sights and the museum were closed at this time. There not so much to do, I found it very bad from tourist side. Xmas decorations are only now to come, however in the neighborhood in Budovice the main square was full with decoration and Xmas fair. Lot of bars was closed, there was not so much to do there at this time. Thus this the city is wonderful, the castle area geourgeos, but we loved to check the old theatre or the tower.

What a wonderful experience to visit and stay in this charming village. To think just a few months earlier we never even heard of this gem. Such a beautiful place. Visiting in mid-October was perfect after learning that the warmer months get so crowded. We never had an issue with crowds, and oftentimes found ourselves alone, even on the castle grounds. So many great restaurants and shops to patronize and the people so friendly. St. Vitus Church is definitely worth visiting, as well as the synagogue, and of course the castle and grounds. Meander down the small alleys and bridges for beautiful views wherever you look.

Nice place for a couple days off.
Nice place for a couple days off.
Busy with tourists during the day but quiet from the evening.
Prices are cheap but quality is very good.
A nice place to walk around, many small streets, many nice views.
Overall a good place for a stress-free weekend.
We can't say enough about this incredible place in Cesky Krumlov - and if you're debating doing it in a daytrip from Prague or staying over - stay at least a couple of nights and you won't regret it! This former mill has been converted to the highest possible standards. Our room was enormous, looked out over the river and we had access to the hot tub overlooking the castle - incredible memories! They were very welcoming to our children and left us a bottle of champagne as a welcome present!
It's a really clean and cozy room. I have everything I need. The kitchen was really clean and enough for me to cook simple dishes. Most of all, the bedroom was really cozy, so i can sleep very well. Everything was perfect. And breakfast was wonderful. Staff were very kind and food was really good. I bet it was the best breakfast i ever had in europe hostel. If i have a chance to visit cesky krumlov again, i will visit here again for real. Highly recommend it.
This was the best accomodation I ever had in the Czech Republic. It is a nice small pension slightly aside of the main tourist routes but still a few minutes from the castles and from the river. We got the whole attic for us which had a huge bad, nice view of the castle, small kitchen corner and historical furniture giving us the feeling of living like the noble men in the past. It was totally private, all contact with the staff was only by phone.
Hotel Grand is a lovely hotel with a fantastic location right in the main square of the town. All sights of Cesky Krumlov are within a very short distance from the hotel. Staying over at the hotel enabled us to see the town in the peace and quiet of the morning before the day trippers arrive. The hotel serves excellent breakfast. The staff overall is very nice. Overall a great stay in one of the prettiest towns in the world.
Great price-value equation. Super-convenient location to visit the castle, 1-minute's walk! 8 minutes' walk to the bus stop for buses to Prague or 12-minutes' walk to the main bus station.
Radic (maybe wrong spelling) is a wonderful and kind host. There's a luggage storage room for late departures.
Cesky Krumlov is certainly one of the most beautiful towns in the world. I'll be back and will definitely stay here again!
We had a very large room, very clean and comfortable. Above all, it had a REAL castle view from the window.
Furthermore, the window overlooks the river, and if you leave it open, it's unbelievable.
The bathroom was huge by all standards as well
The hotel h dad a great location close to all attractions and the P1 parking
Our stay in Cesky Krumlov was nice however in our room heating was not working properly unfortunately so during the night we were very cold. Breakfast was ok. Bathroom and toilet was both small, old and not renovated.
Location is amazing and also lunch in the restaurant was very tasty.
The location was absolutely spectacular!! The hotel has an amazing view of the river and the castle, and is very close to everything. The breakfast was wonderful as well with so many different options and everything was delicious!
The receptionist is super kind and friendly. The breakfast is really excellent. The location is the best. You can reach every spot just few minutes by walking. We will book this hotel again next time to Česky Krumlov.
Staff was helpful in explaining how to get to the hotel and nice at checkout. Very very well located in the center of Cesky Krumlov’s old town. Good price! Netflix on the TV was an added plus. Easy self check in.
The hotel is located in the heart of Cesky Krumlov, on a main square. The room looked very well designed in a modern yet way, which suits to a historic building. Very friendly staff at the breakfast area.
Everything! Right in the centre of Cesky Krumlov and easy to find our way around. Room was lovely with view of the castle. Hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing hostel just a few steps from the castle entrance. Extremely cosy and very clean. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. The location is quite unique and gives it a special charm! Excellent!
Villa Beatika was a great place to stay during our time in Cesky Krumlov. The room was clean and had all we needed for our stay. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We would stay here again!
Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect and the room was comfortable and quiet. A wonderful change from "chain" hotels that are all the same. Great breakfast too!
Český Krumlov is very nice, and the hotel gives you access to Český Krumlov. The location is outside the old town, but close enough to walk there in a few minutes.
One of the best hotel in Český Krumlov. Located in the city centre, near Cathedral.
Room was big, well staffed. From the window was beautiful panoramic view.
The facility of the apartment, the location and the provided parking by the hotel make it one of the best in Cesky Krumlov for people traveling by car.
