Great location to main shopping strip - and walkable down to the Cathedral. The option of taking the train/ tram was close by to the Hotel - and another one out to the Michael Schumacher Collection was a short walk away. There was a lovely cafe for great coffee (including a Flatwhite!) was located by the archway across from the Hotel - and also a supermarket, and other eateries (including a lovely Indian restaurant) close by also. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The foyer area was nice - but as others have commented - could have used further decor - plants, paintings/ artwork or other fresh bright furnishings. The lounge area was nice to sit in - but these things would have been an added bonus aesthetically.

Founded by the Romans in 38 BC and idyllically located on the Rhine River, Cologne offers the perfect blend of historical and modern Germany. There’s no place more picturesque to drink a Kölsch beer and eat a schnitzel than on the banks of the River Rhine.
Here you’ll find the Altstad, or Old Town, with the impressive Cologne Dom on the skyline.
Visitors to Cologne in February can dance the days away at the Carnival Parade. In December, no trip to Cologne’s magical Christmas markets is complete without a steaming mug of Glühwein.
The charm extends to other seasons as well, thanks to the medieval wonders of the Cologne Cathedral and the Twelve Romanesque churches. Learn about the city’s history at the Roman-Germanic Museum or take a postmodern approach at Museum Ludwig. Whether historic or culinary, a trip to the Chocolate Museum can complete any tour.
Booking.com offers 260 different accommodations, ranging from apartments to mid-budget hotels to guest houses. So whether you’re stepping out of a plane at the Cologne Bonn Airport or a shop on Hohe Strasse, you will be sure to have a cosy room for those cool European nights.

The city has a lot of roman history and it is well known for its amazing cathedral and the nice view of the cathedral and the Hohenzollern bridge.
It's not a big city so you can visit the most important places (excluding museums) in a day and you don't really need to be taking trains to move around. The city center and the surroundings are quite beautiful: Alter markt, Heumarkt, the river itself and the visits from the "Cologne triangle" building.
Also a nice walk is: from the city center through Schildergasse street (shoping street) go to Neumarkt and then Rudolfplatz where you can visit the roman door.
An interesting neighbourhood to visit is Ehrenfeld where you can take nice pictures related to modern art, graffiti, etc.
If you plan to visit some museums, I would recommend "NS-Documentation Center" (for those interested in the WW2 history), the Cathedral's treasury rooms and the Ludwig Museum.
There are also other interesting museums, like the chocolate's musems (rather overrated in my opinion), the mustard museum and the "Kölnisches Stadtmuseum" (the last one being a nice building with a "Ford fiesta" on the roof.
If you have more time to spend on the city, visit the zoom, the flora gardens, some parks, etc. There is also a big therme named "Claudius Therme".
With the train you can also visit some nices places not too far away: Bonn, Düsseldorf, Aachen or Königswinter are well worth a visit.
Also, check out for events taking place in the Kölnmesse.

Cologne is very friendly to visitors and great to walk around. The River Rhine is very close and a lovely place to wander along or sit along the banks. The streets in Old Town are easy to navigate once you get used to the layout and there are always hidden gems around each corner. Lots of street cafes and bars to chose from, the public transport is brilliant and lots of helpful staff to answer questions. It was a pleasure to visit Cologne and is definitely a place to return to one day.

The cathedral is utterly magnificent.
The cathedral is utterly magnificent. Also the Kolumba Art Museum and Documentation Centre are worth visiting. The Ludwig Art museum is beautifully designed and had an eclectic selection of modern art. Its a very walkable city and the riverside restaurants are vibrant in the evening.

A lovely city with many varied sights and things to do.
A lovely city with many varied sights and things to do. Historical interests: the NS museum, the Dom, the Old and Belgian Quarters. Loved the modern art in the Ludwig museum. St Gereon's basilica and the Antonine Chapel just stunning. Great view at sunset from the Koln Triangle. Lovely walk through the Rheinpark and along the Rheinuhafen.
Easy to get about via train, tram, bus or walking. Little train takes you to all main sights if you want a tourist tour. Chocolate museum great fun, especially the lovely brunch at the Chocolate Cafe. Traditional biersalon Papa Joe's in Alter Mkt. Loved Peking for Chinese menu, Bona'me for Turkish fare and L'Osteria for Italian.
The staff was wonderful. Warm friendly at all times. Helpful. Cheerful. Seems to be a family run business. The room is small by USA standards, but clean and plenty big enough for the time I spent in the room. Breakfast is simple, but a bargain. Everything was fresh. Dining area formal. Always someone there to add food or assist. Great location for shopping and touring all over Cologne. Very convenient to the train station. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Great location in the centre of Cologne, five minutes walk from the train station, and a about 10 minutes from the beautiful Cathedral. As it was November we also enjoyed the various Christmas markets in the Altstadt, Neumarkt and in the sites of the stunning cathedral towers. Travel to other parts of Germany is easy on the train. The hotel is about 20 minutes on the train from the airport.
Room was great, especially bathroom. Location is good, you can walk to the city center by foot in 15 mins. Very good furnitures as well. The facilities didn't interest me but there were variety of options. If you want to hang out in the city and stay in a good, secure and clean room at the end of the day, I think this hotel is one of the best option that you can get in Cologne.
The location was great; right in the heart of Cologne; a short walk to the old town. The room was amazing; really spacious, huge comfortable bed and a massive bath in the room. The room and hotel was spotless but the best bit was the friendly, warm welcome. I was on a motorbike and the owner confirmed there was parking outside and even lent me his chain for extra security.
The location is the best asset of the hotel. It is near everything we look forward to as tourists: shopping center, fastfood, train station, hop on hop off stop, and the iconic Cologne cathedral. Even though there was some construction/digging going on just beside the hotel, this didn't bother us since the windows were sound proof. This is a highly recommended place to stay.
This boutique hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from Kölner Dom and Cologne Main Train Station. We've been given one of their newly renovated rooms which we found pleasing and stylish. Separate shower and toilet with Rituals toiletries! Beds are comfortable..not too soft and hard.
Cons: The hallway is dark. Maybe additional lighting would enhance more the hallway decors.
The hotel is near airport, you'll get free shufle from the hotel for free, just book your time. Staff is extra helpfull, we had some problems, but Marco did extra mile to help us solve everything and saved our trip. Hotel and rooms are fresh, very clean and there was everything you need. Definetly recommend, and I will stay there next time i come to Cologne.
The hotel is close to shopping streets, good restaurants, and the Rhine. It was in the best location for me visiting Cologne for the first time. The room was small but had everything, and the breakfast was very satisfactory. Especially the cappuccino was perfect. The staff of the hotel were kind and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
The room was totally enough, cozy and newly renovated. The hotel is located just in the downtown close to Dom and many restaurants. I didn´t use breakfast in the hotel. But I can fully recommended Lint Hotel to everybody traveling to Cologne. I was really suprised with the place and area and that is so close to everything important.
The spa was the best feature of the hotel but unfortunately as an Irish man i wasnt use to nudity in a spa and as a result only visited the spa once. I spoke to my German friends who said this was normal in Germany. I can't really complain about that but wish i knew before booking as we only stayed in this hotel to use the spa.
Absolutely AMAZING hotel room!!! For the price, it was EXCEPTIONAL!! Definitely 4* LUXURY!! My friend and I were on a little week-long trip around France and Germany with our two dogs. This was, by far, the best room of the trip!! Many thanks to the wonderful evening concierge who made us feel soooo welcome!!
Every need was catered for, the staff were all very helpful and clearly trained to a high standard. The room was more similar in size to a junior suite than a regular twin room! The hotel is also very close to the hauptbahnhof and cathedral. Great breakfast too! It was the best hotel of our tour of Germany!
We had the free orange juice and some coffee one the morning. Even though we had a checkout, we could always stock the luggage in the hotel and came back to the hall to have some water. The room is so clean and really soundproof. I recommend it. And it’s just 5mins walk from the Cologne Cathedral.
Very good location and the room was cozy and clean. It was one of the best priced hotels in the area and it did not disappoint. Wifi worked fine and the reception person was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Within a short walk to the Cologne Cathedral which is amazing.
Location was IDEAL for being close to the train station, restaurants and some of the best Christmas markets in Germany. You can see the cathedral from your window! After hours check-in was seamless and the rooms were very comfortable and warm (especially when it was freezing outside).
This hotel is probably the best opportunity to visit Cologne. It's quite close to the train station (15 minute walk, next to the Rhine River), rooms are quite large and very very comfortable, staff is perfect and the price is okay. Fantastic value for your money.
It was a nice hotel, the room was very cozy and we had all the essentials for a pleasent stay. I could even borrow a phone-charger from the staff. The hotel is very well located, only 10-15min walk away (crossing the river) from the main station in Cologne.
Perfect stay for our porpoise, easy public transportation to Cologne Center and Airport. The staff was really nice at check in and during our stay, good breakfast, clean rooms, restaurant and supermarket very close by, I recommend to stay at this hotel
Very nice hotel with friendly staff, located easy walking distance from great sight-seeing locations in downtown Cologne. Good value for money. Large room with a great view. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.
This hotel is absolute perfection. Beautiful architecture, contemporary, elegant design, a view to let you know you are in the heart of Cologne, a kind and caring staff—what more can a visitor want?
