- We stayed two nights in this hotel. We enjoyed being out of the city and all the noise and traffic even tho the road to the house is not asphalted and it takes a lot of time to reach the property. The room was good and we had a terrace to watch the river at sunrise or in the late afternoon.
- You can get a boat ride from the hotel between the nearby islands for the sunset.
- Everyone was very kind and helpful.
- There is a small tourist market with clothing and souvenirs nearby.
- We arrange our visit to Abu Simbel with the hotel. The car, the driver, and the whole service were great.

To tell you the truth I came here a year ago and I pretty much never gone back. I keep coming back. The cost of living in Egypt is so much better than America. and the food is a million times better. the people are real they just want to be happy . And they're never is a problem really it's just a different type of life and they're happy to share that with you and that's something I want more of for myself and them. Unlike Cairo, Aswan is much slower paced and people are much nicer. The city has several historical sites, temples, and islands. The views and food are amazing. I’m skipping Cairo on my next trip to Egypt and coming straight to Aswan and Luxor.

Tombs of the Nobles were really neat if you can make it over to the other bank. Watch out for the camel guys there though. We got roped into $50 camel rides.
Aswan was probably our least favorite stop in Egypt. Harassment by salespeople was higher here than at the Great Pyramids, and much higher than Luxor! We couldn't walk anywhere at anytime of the day without a salesperson walking with us for several blocks. And as soon as they were done, someone else would take over. Its too bad, I think the corniche could be a really pretty walk!

Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
I didn’t realize that the hotel was undergoing a little construction. It looked like they were upgrading their ramp. This meant we had to carry our bags up the stairs to the lobby.
The property is beautiful and has a terrific view of the town and we could see the Nile from our room. The restaurant was very good- we had dinner there.
BTW the construction noise never bothered us. We couldn’t hear it at all.
I love the vibrant colors of the hotel and their food is also amazing.
Everyone there is very helpful to us specially with the luggage and other things we need.
they also arrange our trip to abu simbel and trip to Philae temple and even help us with our trip to luxor. I also love the nile river view and how peaceful it is to stay there. away from the crowd and noise from the city.
Special thanks to Mr. Qasem for taking care of us in our entire 2 days stay aswan.
And also, I'm in love with their floating restaurant.
Such a beautiful, relaxed place on the Nile, overlooking Aswan, staff are so friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They picked us up in Aswan on their boat and took us back to the Island which is stunning. We had a Nile view balcony and was great just to sit and watch the boats. Breakfast was included and was a great Egyptian breakfast, we also ate dinner over looking the Nile, which was so reasonable and all freshly prepared They can also organise trips for you
We would stay here again.
Staff is nice, helpful and kind.
The reception of the hotel is nice, big, modern and very confortable, you can take some drinks there while you rest and they have 10 pounds beverages very nice.
The rooms are more simple and the one I got was ok and clean. The bathroom can seem also small but comparing with other options in Aswan center, I think its a good option!
24 hours hotel, good air conditioner, nice staff, cheap beverages and you can pay with credit card! Those things are value in egypt!
Travelling to Egypt for the first time with our 7 year old daughter who is autistic can be challenging. The hotel and staff, especially Marvel of guest relations and Mahamud of Terrace restaurant, went beyond their way to exceed our expectations.
We stayed for 1 night as suggested by travel blogs. The Old Cataract was truly magnificent, and It doesn't justify to have stayed here for a short time
We are definitely coming back to the old cataract to for more days during our next visit.
Our stay at the Nub Inn made our stay in Aswan, we cannot recommend it highly enough! The staff were exceptional, everyone was so lovely and they really looked after us. The room was clean, spacious and beautiful as well as having a cracking view of the Nile. We loved the food, still thinking about the breakfasts! We did several tours all of which the hotel sorted out for us and made it super easy. We can't wait to go back
Everything! The most beautiful and peaceful view of Aswan. The room is really comfortable and big with an amazing view. The staff is the best we had in our travel in Egypt, Hares and Mustapha were sincerely helpful and reactive. It’s the only place in Egypt where we feel only good vibes (not selling anything, tours, etc). We will recommend to my family and friends without doubts!
Staff especially Reko is very friend and help with everything such as your or text booking but there’s always room for negotiation. The best thing about the guest house is the view, I see Nile from my window. it’s located in elephantine island which means you will need to prepare 5 Egyptian pounds each time for ferry but it runs every 3-5 min so it’s not an issue.
This small hotel was a last minute booking and it sorprised me and my coworker, rooms are really comfy and the best part its the view, hotel its located right at the Nile, sunrises are just amazing, they have a great terrace in beduin style and they offered breakfast.
also staff is super friendly and they always want to help.
Our hotel manager Selim made sure everything was arranged from boat rides into Aswan, rides to the airport, and great customer service at the hotel. The chef Mahmoud was very nice to us well, helping with a series of early starters that I know he didn't sleep a ton because of. The hotel is beautiful, would highly recommend.
in short, the premises is unique and good value for money. the customer service was amazing all the way from booking the room to arrival and helping with tour guid. the restaurant is very nice and has too many options and the view was amazing. A hotel that you can enjoy good time in Aswan without the need to spend fortune
We liked this accommodation very much. It was a little far from the town but with community ferry it was fast to get to the center. The ferry only costs 10 egyptian pounds for person (0.20 €) and it's very fast. They make us breakfast boxes when we went to Abu Simbel. The view from the hotel was wonderful.
One of my favorite hotels ever; staff was top notch, polite and always helpful. Food was incredible; great wine selection. The pool is to die for. Beautiful, clean and cold for those 110 Aswan days. Views over Elephantine island and the Nile topped off with the best sunset ever. You must stay here.
Fantastic guesthouse, easily accessible from the west bank by a fixed price ferry( no haggling required). There is a great restaurant with delicious tagine and beer at the landing. It was the best hotel we stayed at in Egypt and could have stayed for a week.
The only good things about this hotel is the staff who do their absolute best given the circumstances. They are all so kind, friendly, and accommodating. I also really enjoyed the food! They serve Egyptian food which is really cool and it’s delicious!
Having guest relations answering messages and fixing issues 24h is definitely 5 star service
Everybody in the hotel was very helpful throughout our stay and tried their best to make it special for us.
We definitely had a good time and can recommend
Hotel was nice and clean. David was so helpful and kind. His hospitality is amazing. He was always there whenever we needed help. He guided us throughout our stay in Aswan. I'm happy to recommend David hostel to anyone planning to stay in Aswan.
QUIET! It is extremely difficult to find quiet hotels in Egypt. Given the location of Basma, this is one of a few. Also, amazing staff, wonderful view of Aswan, great food (at European prices, not Egyptian ones). Very clean.
Best hotel in Aswan. the location is gold. in the middle of the nile, in front of philae temple, the island is a historical site , old nubian village. very clean and well maintained.
Best place I habe been to in Egypt.
This is more than just an accomondation. Just go there and See.
The nubian village is so peacful insted the rest of Aswan.
