Our time at Cafour House is the number one holiday I've had so far. As we arrived, Abdu and Nora (the owners) were helping and showed us around. Their kindness, communication and hospitality is waaay more than the expected, we really could enjoy the time here without any problem.
We had traditional egyptian breakfast, and also had lunch and dinner here for a very reasonble price. All meals were quite big portions, and tasted very well, thanks to the kitchen staff!:)
The hot spring is very nurturing, you can literally see the stars from the tub at night. One of my favourite.
The location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can experience real silence and peace here without and disturbing sounds.
The centre of Siwa city is a 15 min ride by tuktuk, for a very reasonable price. Abdu and Nora also helped us with the programmes, we tried desert safari (100%worth it) and we visited the Salt Lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, the Oracle Temple, the Amun Temple and watched the sunset on a nice spot with Hakam. He is an excellent tour guide, he knows a lot about this mysterious little city. I can fully recommend to ask him for guiding.
It's hard to summon the whole experience in one single sentence, but i'll try:
I will definitely come back:)
Greetings and hugs from 2 hungarian traveler

A beautiful green lake sits among this ocean of yellow sand, but Siwa has more than just breathtaking sceneries, it carries a culture of its own; local habitants of Siwa actually speaks their own language, which is more like the language spoken by the Berber (desert people from further west), than the Egyptian Arabic spoken in the rest of Egypt.

Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature. The Mountain of the dead and The Temple of the Oracle are must see sites. Take the desert safari to explore the desert, ride around sand dunes, see an oasis, visit a hot spring. Nice!

Siwa is on of hidden Gems globally, it takes 7 hours by car from Cairo the Capital, Enjoy the nature in every single thing, starting from morning, enjoy a traditional Bedouin breakfast, Safari in western desert with local guide, sand surfing, and Tea on fire, ending it up with midnight camping on middle of nowhere,
Second day, the salt lakes where it heal your skin burns or scars, do it carefully and don't put your eyes into the water, Never. Ending up in Cleopatra spring to wash up all your sins, ;)
Third day, have a round in old Siwa, enjoying Abdo Rest. eating local food and shop around for pure healthy herbs.

There is little to do here.
There is little to do here. Two mediocre archaeological sites, one spring (Cleopatra pool). Only one restaurant. The fresh water lake has no real access. The salt lake is a long drive to where you can swim in rectangular mined areas.
It might be ok for people who want to hang out in their hotel beside a pool and do nothing. Flies everywhere and bad mosquitoes at dusk and dawn.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa.
Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa. I know the road there and back may dissuade you but it is entirely worth your time. In fact, I would dare say you NEED to come here. Here you will experience a different culture than the hustle and bustle of Cairo and Luxor. There is plenty going on here but it is much less crowded and much more peaceful. The Siwa Salt Lakes are a must-see experience. There is something almost other-worldly in the air here, especially coming from the busy streets of more densely populated Egyptian cities. Just a few days here in the middle of your trip and you will feel ready to tackle the rest of your Egyptian cities. Missing this place and all the tuktuk rides so much!
We had an amazing stay at WAFLA. Ahmed is very knowledgeable about the area and he was incredibly helpful with tours and transportation. He went above an beyond to give us a great time in Siwa. The rest of the staff were also very friendly and the chef cooked us delicious breakfasts and made us a dinner on request. The room was clean and comfortable and the whole site was beautifully decorated. Truly couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you Ahmed!
What a great place to stay. Siwa is a very hard city to get to, but once there, you will love its people and sights. We were lucky to stay at this hotel; they were so helpful, setting up all activities we requested and always there for us. While its location is removed from the city itself, it is very easy to get a toktok to drive you around. I highly recommend this place, you will love it.
Friendos house is a great get away from the city noises and perfectly located between dessert and farms. It offers a private hot spring and a family vibe. It's typical siwa style, simple and quiet. Enjoying chilled time by the fire under the stars. As a solo traveler it's great as you can have a private or shared room for a reasonable price.. Thank you
the staff at the Siwa relax retreat are exceptional, everyone was super helpful and friendly. the hotel is located outside of the town which was great for us. very quiet and relaxing. the driver was always available to talk us around or to pick up whatever we needed. the sunset from the hotel is amazing. i highly recommend this place
Great facilities and atmosphere to relax with amazingly wonderful rock mountain and lake view. Friendly staffs and cute dogs :) Delicious breakfast. Even though there are some restrictions on using of water and electricity like other ecolodges, but you can effortlessly accept this as a part of Siwa life 😀
Literally no words can ever describe the beauty of this place, and Moussa the manager there is a magician 😅, he recommended us many many hidden gems in Siwa, he even made us a birthday surprise party just by checking our IDs
It’s beyond amazing.
I’m grateful to go to this place!
Keep your greatness! ❤️
Very quite place, the staff super friendly, mr. Ali was taking care of me like family, people of siwa are so friendly and generous. I really enjoyed the stay and serenity 😌 something i was looking for long time especially with my crowded busy city life
The best place we stayed in Egypt! Wonderful design, comfortable room, delicious breakfast. Ahmet, the owner, made planning activities and tours in Siwa very easy and is a very friendly guy. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back some day.
If you are looking for the best place to stay in siwa this is it. It’s so quiet but at the same time not far from the center. People are very helpful and you can book all tours directly with them. The food is also amazing
The rooms had AC. the beds were comfortable. They were firm my U.S. standards, but soft compared to other hotels in the region. the pool area was nice and clean, and the Egyptian breakfast was delicious!
I would to say specially for Mr. Ali attitude to his guests and very friendly and warm reception of all the hotel staff.
Very recommend to stay in this hotel and use tour with the hotel arrangement.
Nice experience in Siwa Oasis, hotel made of mud with gangs and ways everywhere, cosy room, nice terrace, perfect location.
Special thanks to Abdou, he really takes care of guests 🙏👍
