Beautiful setting. Very good quality hotel and accommodation. Dinner was excellent quality and service was very good indeed. Would just suggest bedside lamps be added for reading in the evening.

Quirky decor, which I love, super comfortable bed. Well stocked for breaky. Bath was very welcome after a long days’ hike! I didn’t to use the coffee shop as it wasn’t open when I was there but having that on your doorstop plus the bakery, pubs, convenience stores and hiking start points was fantastic.

Crickhowell is a small village with plenty of places to eat (but be sure to book) and has excellent views.
The Llanwenarth hotel we are reviewing is not in Crickhowell and is on the main road towards Abergavenny.

Great location for hiking.
Great location for hiking. Quaint village town with lovely shops, cafes and pubs. Staff all very friendly. There are many historical tourist attractions but I didn’t get to visit them as I was short on time and mainly went for hiking. Parking is the only challenge.

The room was clean, the whole building very tired & worn , needs a lot of money spent on it !
Naomi was a very helpful lady she offered us a lift to the local pub which was very kind of her , very friendly & helpful !
Unfortunately the lady on the reception desk when we arrived was not so pleasant, kept talking over me which is found very frustrating.

Lovely small, vibrant town with a good atmosphere, plenty of places to eat and drink and small independent shops. Nice local history too with the Crickhowell Bridge and the ruins of the castle in town as well as being surrounded by beautiful countryside.
I booked the Dragon Inn as it came up as the cheapest available property, as I was traveling on my own I was not too concerned about luxury or comfort. The Dragon Inn exceeded all expectations (I had assumed due to the low price it would not be such a lovely place) I was greeted with the warmest of welcomes (even help to park my car!), the room was very warm, comfortable and clean. The food was fantastic, I ate both my evening meals there and the breakfasts set me up perfectly for running in the mountains. Thank you for an excellent stay!
Kestrel Inn is well-sited and overlooks the scenic Cwmdu valley. The Inn and its rooms are clean, warm and comfortable, and the owners are welcoming with much-needed advice on places to visit and things to do. Breakfast was cooked by the owners, which we appreciated greatly, and dinners were found in the historic village of Crickhowell, which is only a 6 minute drive away. The Inn is well-placed to explore Brecon Beacons National Park by car or bicycle, with quiet country lanes starting literally over the road.
Crickhowell is a charming walkable Welsh town, where we needed to stay for one night before collecting our rental narrowboat nearby. As Mom & daughter travelling together, we needed 2 bedrooms. This small home fitted us perfectly, although people with difficulty walking might find the narrow steep stairs up to the bedrooms difficult. It was spotlessly clean and the host quickly and most helpfully answered my many questions both before our arrival and during our stay. Would return without hesitation.
Spotlessly clean room; we had the Superior Double and this was spacious and well-equipped. It was at the front, but noise wasn't a problem as the street is quiet at night. Breakfast is good with plenty coffee provided (not rationed as it often is elsewhere!). We had a large group booking in the restaurant on our first evening and both dinner and service were superb. A big thank you to Bev for arranging this - all the staff were lovely and really helpful. We would gladly stay here again.
The property is an ideal base for hiking in an area that we have visited on numerous occasions. For potential guests who are not familiar with the area, the apartment is equipped with numerous guides to the many hiking trails in the area. It is easy walking distance to an excellent pub (The Horseshoe Inn, in Llangattock) which serves well kept real ale and food. Crickhowell is a little further with more choices for restaurants and pubs.
A lovely comfortable, clean and well looked after cottage. Set in a peaceful location, within a short drive to nearby towns of Crickhowell and Abergavenny. We really enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed and more, a real home from home. Modern and very well equipped kitchen. We would recommend and would love to return 😊.
Very helpful hosts. Brilliant location and house. Ideal for us and another family with 4 pre-school children. Lots of space inside (garden smaller than expected but lovely) and quite soundproof. One of the bedrooms had a little extra section that was perfect to fit our son's cot in so he couldn't see our bed!
A lovely comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting with lovely lounge and reception areas. The food was very good. The staff were exceptional and very kind. There is a great walking route which takes about 20 minutes from Crickhowell to the hotel. There is also a bus which stops nearby.
Beautiful flat with lots of light. Lots of space. Great location to the Brecon Beacons with some excellent pubs and shops nearby. Thank you for the milk(!), the little maps & tips around the area and for helping us get into the flat! I will definitely stay again when I'm next in the area.
Lovely period cottage, nicely decorated and the kind of holiday home I love staying in. Beds were really comfy, great bathroom and nicely decorated. Well placed close to the main area. The staff at the Dragon inn were exceptionally helpful and handy to be able to park there.
very warm welcome, clean and nice room, generous (more than a continental) breakfast. We stayed in a room above the Pub space and it was not a nuisance at all. a short walk into Crickhowell. ideal to explore the beautiful National Park. Def recommend it.
Self catering. Excellent location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The accommodation was very clean and cosy and situated in a quiet location and had its own parking space for one vehicle.
Lovely location. Quirky interesting hotel. Dog friendly. The staff were happy going about their work and provided a good service all round. Beautiful hanging baskets.
Self catering but was in the middle of town with plenty of choice of eateries.close to pubs and restaurants.Nearby riverside walks and and boat hire on canal.
