Check-in and out were fantastic, the team in the restaurant for dinner were plesant and in the most were good. Food was a step above what I had sxpected so was pleasntly surprised.

Exquisite historic building, unspoiled, needs some renovation. Staff kind and friendly. Beautiful old Derbyshire town with historic connections (The Sun was involved in the Pentrich Rising in 1817); D.H.Lawrence birthplace a short walk away. There is a lovely historic church tower. The town has great views over the Derbyshire countryside and easy access to the surrounding area. Other lovely buildings throughout the town. Brilliant frequent bus service into Nottingham, very speedy. I will return to explore further.

Friendly staff and really comfortable beds. Exceptionally good value for money.
Good location central to shops and a short distance from Nottingham city centre.

Breakfast was OK. Dinner the night before wasn't so good. Steaks were overdone and gristly. The tables needed more than a quick wipe with a damp cloth as they were sticky.

The Hotel is set in extensive grounds which are quiet and peaceful. It has been extended to the rear of the original Hall with two- storey wings of bedrooms and conference suites.
As an elderly person with mobility difficulties l reserved a suitable ground floor room and was very pleased that it met my requirements. However, the walking distance between the room and the dining room, reception and carpark was a bit of a challenge
and could not have been further!

Hotel looks lovely and everything seems nice.
Hotel looks lovely and everything seems nice. However, we ordered food in the bar and five out of the six meals were inedible. Food was awful so very hungry children. Ordered some desserts, kids ice cream was fine (£2 each). Full order of ice cream (£6!!!) came out smaller than the kids one. Took ages waiting for someone to finally. Come and address the problems. We did have the meals refunded but with no shop or vending machines near by we are all going to bed hungry.
Rooms……. Nice and clean and spacious however, no soundproofing at all. Someone down the corridor was playing really loud music all evening, as if to compete, another room tv was so loud we could hear it 6 doors down. And to top it off we can hear the music from the conference room below. Plus all the drunk people stumbling along the corridor loudly.
I will never stay here again or recommend to anyone.

Great facilities, clean and modern rooms, lovely pool and games room. Breakfast had a huge variety however the evening meal service was incredibly slow and the bedroom doors were incredibly heavy resulting in them banging loudly which was frustrating whilst trying to sleep.

Hotel and grounds were excellent, staff friendly and efficient. Excellent decor in the hotel.
Swimming pool can be extremely busy at weekends as it has members from the community.
Fridge in the bedrooms would be appreciated.
Lounge area is very welcoming.
Plenty of shops in Eastwood, surrounding area is good, retail park in Giltbrook is very good.
The breakfast selection was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room clean. It's a basic hotel maybe trying to be marketed as something else. I had booked the superior room, I would class it as a standard room. I think the only thing that made it superior was a selection of soft drinks and some popcorn. Oh, and the bath, which is something I like to have. And this superior room bath was shorter than my bath at home 🤦🏻♀️
OK for a simple, basic stay away.
We booked superior twin room number 145 which had a meadow view. Very pleasant and quiet. Professional, helpful, friendly reception staff. Efficient bar staff. Tasty Food. Comfortable spotlessly clean room. Pool/Sauna/Steam room/Jacuzzi. Location. Games room. And at last .. a room which was not boiling hot from stupid fixed heating systems as with a lot of hotels these days .. perfect temp for a menopausal lady!!! And great value for money.
Very nice location and building. The staff is very friendly and approachable. The room was clean and spacious. I enjoyed the swimming pool, the steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi and the game room is a great addition. Wasn't too crowded either, there were times it was only us in the whole pool. We had a really enjoyable stay and there is a lot to explore as the grounds around the hotel are beautiful. Also has plenty of parking.
The hotel is in lovely quiet grounds, check in was easy and the lady on check was incredibly helpful, we found our room easily. Lots of lovely extras in the room such as drinks and popcorn and snacks which were replenished the next day. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable with robes and a good shower. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good.
we would definitely return here as overall we had a nice stay.
All the staff were amazing at Eastwood Hall and helped us through a difficult time for me and my family. We were not sure how long we needed to stay so had to book day by day. Being able to have the same room throughout helped us so much. Special thanks go out to Kirsty, Ewan and Katie who were extra helpful and kind but Managers at Eastwood should be proud of all their staff. Thank you.
There was nothing to fault with this hotel. The grounds were large and well kept, the bedrooms were large and very clean. The bathroom was much bigger than the average hotel bathroom with quality fittings. Even the towels were white and fluffy! The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay.
Pleasant staff, homely feel to the accomodation. Quirkiness of room layout (made a pleasant difference to usual standard hotel rooms). The pub is very popular, and does a good range of pub food. The old buildng in the Eastwood location has a bit of a historic feel being the birth place of D H Lawrence.
Lovely hotel with great facilities. The hotel was modern & clean throughout. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options available and the leisure facilities (including a games room) were great. Overall, great value for money and would 100% return
Lovely location with good car parking. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel common areas were spotless. Breakfast was good too, self service but could have as much as you wanted and was really good.
And I loved that I could open the window in our room and get some fresh air.
- clean bedroom
- welcome pack for dog with bowl and blanket
- good room service
- leisure facilities were good
- Sanda from reception particularly lovely and helpful at check in and with needs
- room out of the way great because of busy hotel so less noise meant a great sleep
