It was in a beautiful location overlooking a pond, with sheep and rolling hills. It was very comfortable and spacious, we even had our own living room. Breakfast was delicious. Would love to have stayed longer. We booked very last minute, so pleased we found this treasure.

Generally quite like Llandrindod wells, some parts better than others. I especially like the lake area. The Llanerch Inn is a nice pub with good food. Next time I would avoid staying near a pub on a weekend as it was very noisy until 2.30 am at the pub opposite.

I really wanted to write about the Hotel (Hampton Hotel) and the reception I received. I knew I was going to arrive very late: I estimated 11.30, so I phoned forward to apologise. Reception closes at 11.00, but I was told I'd be in Room 6, how to get there and where its key would be. It worked beautifully.
Llandrindod Wells is a neat little town, but I was only there to sleep before going to a dog show at Builth Wells: about seven miles away. The area is hilly with narrow winding roads: very pleasant pasture farming. I'll have to go again, and I will.

The hotel was perfect for my one night stay which was to enable me to attend a disco at the nearby Royal British Legion Club. As I was a lady travelling alone I did not want to drive the hour's journey back home after midnight. The best recommendation I can give is that I have already booked two more night's for the same reason.

The lake is well worth the visit and within the grounds are a cafe and boats for hire as well as a sculpture mid-lake, the Rock Spa Park is worth
a visit for walking and tasting the water.
Whilst there is a train connection it is very sparce, but there are bus services to the coast, Breacon and Hereford.
Good variety of small shops and cafes.

It's an old Victorian spa town with a small lake. Although the lake and it's surrounded area has an air of the past Llandrindod Wells needs to improve its image along with the Commodore hotel,as the town has very little to offer the visitor.

Girls trip for our joint 30th Birthdays, Stunning views, very lovely and clean place, we had a very much need needed relaxing break from everything! The area has everything you need from pubs, shops, takeaways, we also visited the Elan Valley which was beautiful.
Bluebell lodge has a fab range of facilities, even did my washing before we left! We didn’t leave the hot tub nearly the whole weekend, even during our morning cuppa.
Hosts were fab and were there for anything we needed. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!
We stayed at Pen-Rhos in “Cuckoo’s Nest for four nights in mid January. The scenery surrounding the ‘cabin’ was breathtaking and there was enough space between each cabin for privacy. The space was small, but perfect for two and had every appliance we needed for meals and hot drinks. The bathroom was clean and the shower heated quicker than ours at home. Llandrindod Wells had a few pubs and grocery stores that were close and convenient. Surrounding cities like Newtown, Rhayader, and Builth Wells were great for pub dinners.
Both of the rooms were very nicely presented the shower areas were large and very clean, my little boy liked the books and the pool table down stairs but really wanted to go to the outdoor play area but the weather wasn't good enough for him to enjoy it maybe next time the breakfast was very nice with a large selection of dishes both the hosts came and spoke to us during the breakfast time and were very nice I will certainly book the Highland moors hotel again on my next visit to Llandrindod wells.
Very good full 'English' (in Wales) breakfast and the evening meals in the bar were reasonably priced and tasty. The room was warm and there was a good selection of tea/coffee and complimentary biscuits. Overall it was comfortable, warm and good value for money compared to other establishments in Llandrindod.
Staff were excellent, evening meal was superb, spa was lovely.
Room was Ok, back of the hotel, breakfast was Ok, plenty of choice, but a bit Luke warm, not very hot.
Very bad first night, however, manager Carlos gave us compensation (which was very kind) but our short 2 night break had been ruined!
The flat is within a house and is of high quality interior and comfy bed. It is located 2 minutes walking distance from from the main part of the town and train station and 5-minutes away from Tesco superstore. Excellent stop to visit a number of destinations across mid-Wales if travelling by car.
Friendly staff and speedy response to our concerns.
food and Refreshments very reasonable. Good location for exploring the town as sited in centre. Short walk to spa/ lake etc
Good value if traveling on a budget or utilising hotel for work
Breakfast is ok, but limited in choice.
it was situated right near the woods in rural wales. the cabin is spacious , clean and comfortable and very warm!! the beds were very comfortable and having our own little wash room made all the difference!!! I would highly recommend this place and will be returning again!!!
Beautiful old hotel with lots of history and atmosphere. Spacious room with everything we needed and most importantly a very comfortable bed. Food very good and staff very helpful and efficient. Location right in the middle of town.
Lovely oldie world hotel with all modern conveniences.
Breakfast buffet is high quality and quiet varied.
Showers are some of the best I've ever used and are fantastic after a days walking or climbing.
We ate at the inn and were happy with the choice of food on the menu. Very Very dog friendly. Superb staff who made our stay easier. Happy to stay again.
