Höfn - Berjaya Iceland Hotels, hotel in Höfn

Located by the harbour in Höfn, this property is surrounded by Hornafjördur’s outdoor activity possibilities. Guests can enjoy mountaineering, snowmobile glacier trips and ice climbing in the area.

Hotel is located near the harbour, walking distance to the public pool, a bus stop, grocery store and some breakfast places. The room overlooked the harbour and was pretty clean. Staff was absolutely awesome and let me postpone my booking by a day! The common area by reception was quite stylish and comfortable with a wooden statue and panoramic windows.

Árnanes Country Hotel, hotel in Höfn

Boasting panoramic views towards the famous Vatnajökull glacier and the surrounding mountains, Árnanes Country Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The harbour town of Höfn is only 6 km away.

The cabin was a cosy comfortable place to lay our weary heads. They do not serve evening meals there so had to travel into the town for food. Breakfast was varied and plenty. The young Greek lady at reception was very helpful and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Höfn Cottages, hotel in Höfn

With views of Hornafjord in the Vatnajökull Glacier region, this property offers basic cottages in the fishing village of Höfn. Each has a small patio, cooking hobs and electric kettle.

They were brand new cottages. Our family was the very first staying in when they launched that evening. Isn’t it a coincidence 😀 so everything was new and fresh specially the beds were spacious and the bed linen was crisp. We stayed in for two nights with perfect location and the snow clad mountain 🏔️ views

Very quaint and QUIET seaport town.

Very quaint and QUIET seaport town. A lot of the restaurants and bars were closed during my stay but was able to go to 1 of them which was lovely. It's a very far east part of Iceland I recommend going to, even if it is for 1 night.

Gem! This was worth the extra drive to visit. Honestly it was my favorite part of Iceland. Rugged beauty without the long line of tourist buses to contend with. Stokksnes Beach is a hidden gem at sunrise!

The Berjaya in Höfn is in a wonderful position with the harbour on one side and a view out across the water to the glaciers and the west on the other. It is also easy walking distance to all the local bars and restaurants.

Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland.

Hofn is a lovely town in SE Iceland. It has numerous, easy walking paths thru town and around their waterfront including a golf course with views that I think rival those of the finest courses in the world. Not a golfer, but if I were, this is a place I would want to play. It was spectacular. The views of the glacier were outstanding. There were several good restaurants, lobster is a local specialty. There are nature and art trails along the waterfront and a number of good historical exhibits. Wished we could have spent more time here. It felt like a vibrant, fully functioning community that I would have liked to explore more.

it was one of the most expensive stay on our 12 days trips. The room did not match the pricing. There were not microwave nor toaster nor any other means to warm up any food. Only one working chair in the room. It was clean, but not worth the price.

Unlike tourist traps in the USA, Hofn is a marine village built to accommodate itself throughout the seasons. It's a place to relax, take in the fresh air, and chill. Its natural beauty is more than enough.

Located on a farm in southern Iceland, Guesthouse Nypugardar was a wonderful place to stop while driving the ring road. The hosts were very nice and the food was fantastic. We had dinner just after we arrived and breakfast the next morning. It was some of the best food we had in Iceland. There are some amazing views from the property of the surrounding farms and the glacier capped mountains. It was located away from the highway so it was very quiet. We would definitely return.

The room was big, clean and good. The included breakfast was excellent. The guest house was also convenient for driving into Hofn The host was very accommodating and gave us a fantastic list of recommendations when we set off the following day. Also gave a great insight into Icelandic culture that people don’t lock their cars or houses. Learning about Iceland from a local is very fantastic. Thank you

Rooms are comfy, clean and the units are just what we needed for 1 night. We had already done groceries so we had the breakfast in our room. You can make tea/coffee and there is a table with 2 chairs meant just for this. Nice view too regardless if you having a room with our without mountain view. Diner in Höfn is perfectly feasible. Good stop between Vik and the northern / west part of Iceland.

We were delayed in getting to the hotel but the reception staff member was extremely welcoming and ready for our arrival. The hotel was clean and the hotel room was comfortable. There are excellent views across the bay from the entrance of the hotel. The hotel facilities are excellent. We stayed at this hotel overnight whilst travelling around Iceland - it was very well suited for this.

If you've never been to Iceland, get used to sharing showers, bathrooms, and kitchen with all the other guests. They're really nice bathrooms and kitchen, but you might not be used to it. But it makes for great interactions with staff and fellow travelers. If you're an extrovert, this stay is perfect for you. Introverts might have less fun here.

The breakfast was wonderful - an excellent buffet plus several items like eggs that could be requested. We also had dinner at their restaurant, and it was excellent. I loved that there were two glaciers visible from the patio, and sheep munching right in front of the guesthouse. How could we experience any place more Icelandic!
