Close to a nice hotel with a restaurant. Easy to find, was very quiet and nice.
Breakfast was super basic (like everywhere) but ok. It's not a buffet, and no meat. You get a selection of stuff on a plate, porridge, fruit, cheese, juice, coffee, croissant.
Whoever complaints about the noise, it's depends on the neighbours as you get a room in a shared hut. We had nice neighbours so no noise.

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.TPRUnited States - 8.0Scored 8.0

The hotel we stayed at was outside of the town itself but was an easy drive away. Great location, especially if you are in Iceland only for couple of days, this would be one of the best choices. From this location, you can make several amazing trips to the surrounding locations. The most interesting places offered by southern Iceland are reacheble from this area as a "base camp".

Can't recommend the lamb chops with roast potato highly enough. Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Wish I could have stayed much longer.
