Repeat stay at this charming hotel. The views alone are worth the trip, but the staff is amazing, too.

"Staying at Mastrojanni Relais in the heart of Tuscany was an experience beyond compare. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warmth of Italian hospitality. The meticulously restored historic building exudes charm and elegance, offering a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern luxury.
Our room was a sanctuary of comfort, with tasteful decor and breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, from the plush linens to the locally sourced bath amenities.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the impeccable service provided by the staff. From arranging personalized wine tours to recommending authentic trattorias, they went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met.
And let's not forget the gastronomic delights offered at the hotel's restaurant. Each meal was a culinary journey through the flavors of Tuscany, expertly crafted with the freshest local ingredients and paired with exquisite wines from the region.
Mastrojanni Relais is more than just a hotel; it's an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of Tuscany's beauty and charm. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories in this idyllic retreat."

Montalcino is a quiet hill town that we love returning to often. We love walking all around town. A 4 hour hike gets you to Sant' Antimo Abbey and then you can take the bus back to town. We love eating at Il Moro and at Osteria di Porta al Cassero as well as Re di Macchia. Great town at the winter holidays!

We stayed in Montalcino two nights, which was about right for people who like wine but aren’t fanatics. Drove all over, got lost, went to Montepulciano (very crowded, steep and hard to get to—was very glad we stayed in Montalcino instead!) enjoyed the Abbey de Sant Altimo south of town, not overrun by people.

If you wish to visit Tuscany, Montalcino is the ideal place to stay. It's a lovely, attractive village with plenty of places to eat and drink. This region also has a lot of good restaurants. It is nevertheless quite close to other important towns and sites that are far more touristic, so I would recommend this area if you want to have a lot of options without being in the most touristic and busy locations around.

Fantastic little town. Some great restaurants.
Fantastic little town. Some great restaurants. Right in the best wine area in Italy. You will love it! Re di Macchia Restorante was so good. The best Florentine steak we ever had. Good prices and the owner Antonio gave us round after round of free Limincello and grappa. He is the best!!!!
We spent 13 days in Italy and our 3 nights at Agriturismo Collesassi was by far our favorite! Mara could not have been a better host and she was beyond gracious and made us feel right at home. She cooked two wonderful and delicious dinners for us during our stay and provided fresh eggs, yogurt, fresh juice, coffee for breakfast, we can’t say enough about our wonderful stay. The views of the Montalcino countryside from our apartment were unbelievably beautiful. A sincere thank you to Mara for her kindness and generosity.
If you are looking for an exceptional bed & breakfast, with delicious home baked meals, wonderful hospitality, amazing service, beautiful/large rooms, with comfortable beds and newly renovated - look no further. Our stay here was very memorable. The proprietors are very gracious, personable and saw to every need. The location is close to many cities in Tuscany and the hotel is located in a picturesque town. You will most definitely enjoy your stay at Dimora delle Muse.
Everything about Hotel Vecchia Oliviera is perfect. The location is right on the edge of Montalcino, just a few steps from the town center, and with stunning views over the Tuscan landscape. The hotel itself is really charming, with lovely rooms, a small pool and even a lounge / game room area. What really sets it apart is the service, we were treated like royalty throughout. Parking is also convenient, just next to the hotel.
Our host worked nearby (at Montalcinos best restaurant Alle Logge di Piazza) and was always close. There was an included breakfast at the bar next door where you could chose whatever you wanted (almost). There was also a common area that you shared only with the second room in the building. You had a fridge and could enjoy free tea and coffee but most of all, an amazing view over the surroundings.
The hotel is excelent! Great location, near to Castello Banfi. The staff (Vitto and the waitress!) was very polite and helpful, we had few minutes to have something to eat and they made us amazing sandwiches. There is also spa included, very good. The bed was big and confortable and all the building very clean and beautiful.
The property has great location in town and access to affordable parking. Great price for what you get, lots of nearby restaurants and wine shops. Proprietor also gave helpful suggestions for vineyards to visit even in January! Excellent Italian breakfast served at the nearby sister hotel with fantastic view
The property is amazing, we felt like we were in a movie. it’s a boutique hotel with 7 rooms, so is very private.
the place is amazing, the room big, the spa with the best view.
the breakfast is the best!!!!
Stay here!!!! we are definitely coming back! dream place!!!
Amazing views from hotel. Perfect location central to the village. Like any old, Tuscany village, parking had some challenges, but the staff was AMAZING at figuring it out with us. Truly. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Fabulous breakfast also.
The location of the hotel can't be beat, and the views from the outward facing rooms are amazing. The breakfast was generous and delicious, with a huge selection of cakes. Overall it's a lovely little spot with an elegant but homey vibe.
Hotel was similar to an upscale B&B in the US, but with a unique charm and beauty only found in Tuscany. was nice, but not pretentious.
Breakfast and Dinner was outside everyday overlooking the vineyards. Plan to return again.
Beautiful hotel and pool. Was a bit farther from town but the pool and grounds made up for the walk. We didn’t want to leave the hotel more than once anyway. Nice terrace outside our room to have a morning coffee.
This is a beautiful hotel outside Monticiano. The view watching the sunset is stunning. The room was gorgeous, up to date and very clean. it’s a short easy drive to Monticiano.
Good located accommodation near Montalcino, the winery is beautiful including the italian cedar tree entrance :)
They offer a rich breakfast buffet with jams, salamis cuts, etc.
