We loved our stay at The Secret Garden. This beautiful old house is in a wonderful location. It is quiet and so peaceful; the occasional bells from the nearby church are charming. The garden is gorgeous and the scent from the flowers amazing. The rooms are spacious and have ample plugs, make sure you have the correct adaptor. The beach is a 5 minute walk although a steep walk. The staff are wonderful particularly Gennario who couldn;t do more to help us. Above and beyond is an understatement.
Klein Wien offers views of the Gulf of Naples from its high position in Piano di Sorrento. It's just a 30-minute walk from Sorrento city centre.

Rosa was super friendly, generous and very uncomplicated. From the beginning on we felt very welcome at her place! The room and the view from the terrace were great. Especially the dinner and the breakfast, cooked by Rosa, were exceptional! It was excactly what we needed after our day of hiking. We would definitely recommend a stay and would always love to return. Thank you so much!!

If you are earmarked for activities in Sorrento and the Amalfi coast destinations like Positano, Amalfi etc. It is better to stay in Sorrento proper. Piano di Sorrento is a neighboring town and taxis are costly. Best way to go to Sorrento and other places is by train. Meta train station is the nearest one from the hotel and it is a 15 minute walk.
However, it is cheaper to stay here than in Sorrento. So this factor can be an incentive to stay in Piano di Sorrento. The hotel is a boutique hotel. Clean, very good staff and a decent breakfast.

It was a great place to stay for us.
It was a great place to stay for us. Quieter than Sorrento, with really good local restaurants and great access to bus and train.
The wider area was very busy at the time of our stay and I’d avoid early-mid September in future.
But Piano is a great place to stay for visiting other parts of Sorrento peninsula.

The public beach is one of the better ones on the peninsula and not as croweded as the ones in Meta or in Sorrent, but lacks most facilities (no public showers, like in Spain or Portugal), yet offer impressive views. The Lido(Bagnia Tina) is also good, except for the loud music. Sadly, but typical fo the region, the city is not very walkable, due to the lack of pedestrian paths, except for the main alles connecting the train Station with the beach.
Ideal point if you want a beautiful landscape(Lemon plantations!) and affordable Restaurants(compared to Sorrent ~20 percent less, although there is not that much variety in Piano itself , mostly Pizza places)
Piano is a convenient location for day trips to Capri(Laser Capri offers great prices down in the harbour of Piano), the Amalfi coast and Pompeji&Herculaneum. The Airport is easily reached with the Cuerri Viaggio Transfer Service (extremly cheap but comfortable).
There are two super markets close to the shore and a small "strip mall" close to the train station&Corso Italiano and a pharmacy.

Piano do Sorento Is a small town just outside of Sorrento (...
Piano do Sorento Is a small town just outside of Sorrento (20 mins away by train). Piano di Sorento is accessible by train from Naples. The beach is a short walk from the main town and is accessible by a lift at certain times of the day for a small fee, or walking via a large steep road. There is a selection of restaurants and bars in the town which the local residents frequent and we enjoyed delicious food and wine here too, in particular the restaurant Osteria Palazzo Maresca, where the food and service was outstanding. Not all the people here are friendly and do not appear to like foreigners so be aware of this. Also the roads are busy and drivers of cars and scooters will not stop for you even at designated a crossings. It is helpful to learn some Italian words and phrases as not all the local people will speak basic English if any at all. I would recommend visiting the next town of Sant’Agnello as it is very beautiful and peaceful.

It really is the quieter option of the Amalfi coast and just as lovely as it's more touristy cousins. There is a great market on Mondays selling fruit and vegetables, olives and cheeses and breads to all sorts of clothing, shoes and house hold goods.
There are also a couple of beaches and waterside restaurants. Few were open on the Monday but the one we found in town was just perfect.
St Michael the archangel basilica was also very beautiful and had really interesting doors. The villa that is now a museum was also a nice place to go for an evening stroll overlooking the Marina and sea.

Beautiful apartment with everything you’ll need for your stay. The showers were hot, the balcony was a nice place to eat breakfast, and we appreciated having the washing machine. It’s a big apartment!
Felice was very attentive and communicative via WhatsApp.
Piano di Sorrento is a quieter town 2 train stops away from Sorrento, it was easy once we figured out the transport and also nice to have a cheaper place to eat dinners. We used this as our home base for day trips to Caprì, Pompeii, Sorrento, and Amalfi.
Would 100% recommend!
Very good location of the villa, easy to reach all places of interest in the area. The place has magnificent view to Sorrento and Vesuvio, comfortable room, great breakfast and most of all remarkable landlady. Mariella is very kind and extremely helpful, she gave us full information about the restaurants around and helped us a lot with organization of our trip to Capri. We travel by car and the possibility of parking in the courtyard of the villa was extremely important for us. Thank you for everything, Mariela!
Great location, piano is a lovely area with lots of good restaurants nearby and the property is very close to the station - 2 stops away from sorrento. The room was spacious and had everything we needed! Rita was an incredible host, she gave us great recommendations throughout our stay and was happy to help us anytime! Rita cleaned our rooms daily and even left us wine glasses after noticing a bottle of wine in our fridge - she really went the extra mile. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

A beautiful spacious apartment for our family! Piano di Sorrento was lovely and the beach was perfect for relaxing, a short walk. 2 bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen with washing machine was perfect! The balcony views were stunning for enjoying dinner with an amazing sunset
Air Con was fantastic and the apartment was spotless and clean
Paola was a wonderful host, she kept us a beautiful bottle of wine in the fridge and picked us up from the train station
Centre of Piano di Sorrento with a quick walk to the station and a short train to Sorrento. Piano itself is a lovely town with lots to offer. Room was clean and comfortable with a great en-suite - the shower was amazing! Mirella & Marzia were really friendly and welcoming with advice on restaurants and attractions, including the Amalfi coast. Fulfilling breakfast with amazing coffee. Added bonus of dog and cat cuddles!
The room No.2 has a balcony with fish port view. When we arrive it was the sunset hours so stunning! And there’s a beach right next to the hotel, also ferry to Capri. I can imagine if walking to the hotel could be a bit far from public transport specially with luggage, but we rent a Vespa make our stay 100% perfect! Even have scooter parking right in front of our room! Can’t ask anything more! We love it so much!
Amazing place to stay in Piano di Sorrento. The room is situated in an adorable villa, the rooms were spotless, with an easy check-in process. The home is in a great location- short walk to the water and nearby many restaurants. Alessandra is incredibly friendly, helpful, and overall wonderful! She is a very generous and caring host! Thanks for the wonderful stay!!
Host was wonderful! Took the time to show us around and make us feel welcome.
Place was clean, good facilities (great to have a washing machine) and location was fantastic! 30min walk into sorrento town but with an amazing pizza place around the corner and a supermarket nearby. Thank you Michele!
The apartment is new, clean, tastefully furnished, spacious, bright and has a nice view of surrounding hills. It is also well taken care of safety (modern locks). The location is very convenient, not too far from bus station, very close to the train station and a market is just around the corner.
The owner was great, she responded quickly and let us know helpful information e.g. transport and good restaurants. Breakfast was included for everyone although limited options. Near piano di Sorrento station with easy transport options into central Sorrento, Positano, Capri and Napoli.
Good location, with a short walk to the beach and local train station (2 stops away from Sorrento). Secure parking too which was great. The housekeeper was extremely welcoming and the rooms cleaned and beds made every day.
the location of this hotel is perfect. two train stops away from downtown Sorrento so it’s quiet and relaxed.
the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Salvatore was an excellent host. Super communicative and friendly. The hotel was clean and was a great location (only 4-5 mins walk from Piano station).
