Very under stated.
Very under stated. A perfect spot to visit Porto Fino and santa Margherita (use the bus or walk there instead of your car) and/or Cinque Terre (by train from Rapallo). Lots of good restaurants on the sea front to choose from and very nice views.

A perfect place to base a holiday.
A perfect place to base a holiday. Public transport was reliable easy and inexpensive. Also plenty to look at in the town. Good bars and restaurants. We attended a superb free concert in one of the churches. Easy access to railway and Genoa airport Look for the smaller restaurants. Plenty in the narrow medieval quarter.

The best place to stay in the Italian riviera.
The best place to stay in the Italian riviera. Lots of things to do, shops, cafes, reasonable prices, beaches, looks beautiful. Cable car to the top is highly recommended. Portofino is overhyped and very expensive. Cinqe Terre was so so. I was glad we stayed in Rapallo.

Rapallo is the perfect town to stay in!
Rapallo is the perfect town to stay in! It has everything you need without being overcrowded with tourists. We went in August which is the busiest time of year, so it was nice visiting and having a break being shoulder to shoulder with people like we had been on the rest of our Euro trip! Rapallo has a train station and ferry station and is in perfect proximity to attractions nearby. The boardwalk had great restaurant and cafe options too and is magical to walk around at night. If you're deciding between Cinque Terre and Rapallo, definitely stay in Rapallo and make day trips out to more busy places!

About the location of Hotel "Portofino Est Residence.Here...
About the location of Hotel "Portofino Est Residence. Here the courtyard and the fact that there is a sea view is ok.
But the interior leaves much to be desired. The furniture is uncomfortable (the old metal cots) that wobble with any movement, especially the bunk and rusty bed, there is an extendable sofa instead of a rather uncomfortable matrimonial bed.
When you open the door, you are hit by a musty, dirty, unventilated smell, an unkempt and dirty place.
Overall the exterior is ok but the interior is terrible.
About the commune itself Rapallo is a beautiful place. A fairytale commune where you can eat well, there are beaches and places where you can walk, a seafront with palm trees, a cute harbor with yachts, you can go nearby to Portofino, the super village and more expensive, but it's worth a visit there too.
Rapallo is a beautiful town!!!

The hotel Cavour staff are friendly and helpful.
The hotel Cavour staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel location is perfect as it within less than five minutes walk from the beach, the promenade, the ferry and train station.
It is centrally located to explore nearby Portofino, Cinque terre and others.
The location of the hotel is excellent, just a five minutes walk from the Rapallo Train Station and the Ferries. The hotel is in a lively neighborhood with many restaurants, cafes and shops. We had a double room with sew view and a balcony. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was the best. They were very helpful in suggesting activities and places to visit. They even checked train schedules for us. We absolutely enjoyed our four night stay at the hotel and especially loved walking and exploring the area around the hotel.
Very clean Apt. in the center of Rapallo - pedestrian area - with a perfectly and super clean, spacious walk in shower with plenty of hot water, nice furbished rooms and well equiped kitchen. When we arrived in bad weather, the heating was switched on and the place was warm and cosy. 3 minutes by foot from the sea and the lungomare, great location with lots of bakeries and restaurants nearby, secure private parking. Higly recomendable.
Everything was spectacular. Carla the host was an angel. She was so helpful and keeps the garden so clean and beautiful with cute pet turtles. The shower pressure was amazing and we had breakfast in the well kept garden each morning. The location was close to everything in the town while still being private. Rapallo was a dream and we are already planning our trip back and would only stay here.
I liked the unique look of this hotel it's nicely decorated. Late check in was okay. I stayed for 3 nights and the room was cleaned everyday. Staff is friendly and helpful. My dog was welcome here. Room had a balcony and there was also patio area I liked. Bed is good. Location in Rapallo is close to everything and was also not difficult to get to Portofino from here. Great value for money.
The hotel is amazing, it has a very beautiful view, the stuff is kind and the food is good. But it’s quite far from the city centre, and it takes time to get there. The bus/cable car stop working at around 7 pm. So, if you wanna enjoy Rapallo night life and get to the hote after 7 pm, you better drive a car.
Central location. Close to the Rapallo train station and touristic ferry terminal to Portofino ect. Everything was refurbished and cozy, making the place feeling more like a home rather than just a hotel replacement for a better price. The owner was also really nice.
It was perfectly ok for 2days stay in Rapallo. The hotel is in the centre on the sea shore. There is a small free parking nearby. Walking distance from all attractions and shops. There is no public beaches in the city! Just a small peace of something quite dirty.
This luxury hotel is well located in walking distance from the town. The hotel has incredible sea views and the common areas are very comfortable. Our room was large with an awesome view. The breakfast was delicious and the service was good.
The location was the only thing going for this hotel, if one can ignore the major rod works immediately adjacent to it. It is anly a few minutes walk from the Ferry jetty and the main promenade with all the restaurants.
The staff was exceptional. They all went above and beyond to be helpful and make recommendations. Hotel Astoria has the best breakfast we have experienced on our trip. The location is perfect on the waterfront.
Vicinity to Rapallo center and old city, to the beach, to restaurants and tronchetto departure station. Hotel offers parking lot - good for those traveling by car. Very friendly smiling and helpful staff.
Very nice hotel, very good breakfast, nice big room ( perhaps bigger than booked ), nice pool and gym, nice interior, paring just outside the entrance, location few minutes walk from Rapallo city centre
The sense of going back into time when resort hotels such as the Hotel Delle Rose were the norm. Lovely walk into the city’s center!
Friendly & professional staff!
We loved TATIANA she was sooo helpful efficient caring...my husband got sick she helped us find pharmacy came to check on us every day
.SHE IS OUR RAPALLO ANGEL!!!
A very refined hotel with tastefull touches. Away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to walk to amenities.
Would definitely book again!!
location of the hotel was very central. Breakfast was good with a fabulous view. Staff very helpful with knowledge of the town, ferries, cable cars etc
