It was an amazing experience. We did not realize that we could not go up with the car (you need 4x4 SUV/Jeep). we got picked up by the owner. Enjoyed the amazing views the way up. Once at the refuge you have a great view from the restaurant over Sestriere. The room was fabulous. The food great. Local products. So happy we got to this nice place and meet nice people.

Il Fraitevino hotel bed & breakfast B&B is situated in the central pedestrian square of Sestriere, 330 yards from the ski slopes, close to the sports pavilion, public swimming pool, and shops.
Breakfast excellent and staff really really helpful.

Great slopes for beginners so suited our family group.
Great slopes for beginners so suited our family group. Not all the lifts or pistes were open, and it was the same when we were there in January. This was disappointing as there was plenty of snow for our Easter break.

Lovely resort. Quiet when we stayed.
Lovely resort. Quiet when we stayed. Le Lei and Baby are great restaurants in town. Best restaurant in town is found through entering building where Farmacia Jayme is - walk into building, past the pharmacy entrance on right, and it is at the end of the corridor on your left (past a little toy shop). Great food, fantastic staff.
Sestriere is small and easy to get around. Good Carrefour supermarket on main strip.

The French side of the Vialattea ski area is much more better.
Snow situation was very bad, but the snow cannons were not used.
Town was very quiet in the evenings.
The restaurants in the slopes were quite messy and poor quality in food and price comparison to other Italian ski resorts and Austria.

Sestriere is a very small but cute town.
Sestriere is a very small but cute town. Access to the pistes is easy and there are a lot of facilities for renting equipement, cafes, etc.
We had a hard time looking for restaurants for dinner, as every single one was fully booked.
A nice private apartment, suitable for a family of 4. Well equipped with all the necessary stuff, kitchenware, bed linen and towels were provided. Large living room with a convertible sofa and a bedroom of a decent size with some place to work, if you need it.
Private parking in a closed garage on the ground floor. Elevator right from the parking place up to the apartment door, very practical for hauling luggage.
The host was very friendly and helpful.
the kitchen was very nice and functional and the bathroom was awesome. the place has a little porch which is very nice.
the most important thing is the price. we wanted a cheap vacation and picking any other stay would have made it a lot more expensive. I would say that compared to the price, it’s by far the most cost efficient hotel/ apartment in sestriere.
Very nice stay at a Grangesises Grange fancy apartment.
Special thanks to FRANCESCO who provided full support and help to all our needs.
Good Things:
- Apartment fourniture, heating and complete equipment
- Easy car parking
- Short way to Sestrieres ski station (by car)
- Reasonable price
- Luggage storage on the last day
Thanks
The location of the Hotel was amazing! Very close to the ski lifts and everything walkable with a little pain (how ski boots normally are). The Hotel room was clean and the bathroom was nice and clean as well. I liked to have the ability to get breakfast in the Hotel, yet the quality of the breakfast was questionable and bland.
ski-in ski-out; Giovanni in reception was excellent- very helpful, patient & kind and made sure we had reservations for dinner (including transport) at outside restaurants since the hotel was unable to accommodate dinner for our family throughout the stay. Great views. Good breakfast with a good variety of food.
Really pleasant hotel with lovely staff and good location. Very good value for money - it might not be right at the top end of the luxury accommodation spectrum as it is a three star hotel but we were very happy with the facilities and would happily stay again.
The staff were fantastic. The front desk was helpful with logistics, and the dining staff truly treated us like family. By the time we left, my kids (7 and 3) felt like they had an Italian uncle and auntie who had taken care of them all week.
Excellent family-oriented resort. The miniclub made our children really happy, They spent day and night enjoying the club activities. Thanks to all the resort staff members for always being helpful with a smile.
Really cheap compare to other places in Sestriere, so you get what you pay for.
+ shuttle bus to the lift
+ public bus outside of the hotel (to pragelato for cross country skiing/to oulx for train to Turin)
Great location. Literally 50 metres to the chair lift and gondola. Very clean and functional. Not a luxury hotel, but perfect for a ski trip. Food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner.
Far enough away from the centre of Sestriere to avoid the crowds but with a handy navetta to take you back and forth if you don't want to walk.
Staff all very helpful.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Attentive and professional. We were so glad that they communicated in English. We enjoyed the location and comfort of the hotel.
