This is a brand new hotel and it shows. Everything is perfect and new. I loved the design with the beautiful wood and black and white tiles, finished with golden frames. The rooms are really big and they have an open rai shower, that is really spacious and giving it a Spa Vibe. The bed are really big and the best I have ever slept on in a hotel. Their service is impeccable and the location is 5 minutes from the airport. The staff welcomes you and anything asked for is granted. If it is from storing your luggage, calling a taxi, extending your check out time. Ask and you shall receive. The breakfast is freshly prepared and you can choose from Moroccan cuisine and international cuisine. The restaurant is so beautifully designed and surrounded by nature, giving you a Bali kind of vibe. I will be back and I am looking forward to sunbathing on the rooftop and have a swim in their pool.

Tangier is often described as the face of Morocco and is a city full of mystery and natural beauty. Its close proximity to the foot of Europe makes it a popular stopover and day trip for cruise boat travellers and tourists visiting Spain.
If you’re planning a day of sightseeing ensure to visit the Musée d'Art Contemporain de la Ville de Tanger, The Kasbah Museum, Grand Socco, and the lively souks, which are filled with a variety of spices, foods and fashion.
Tangier has a vibrant nightlife and a cosmopolitan and cultural vibe. The vibe is reflected in the cafés, bars and restaurants located across the beachfront and along the narrow streets lining The Kasbah, Mercado and Medina.
Hercules Cave is located 14 km from the city centre and is ideal for a day trip, afterwards you can enjoy some of the best coastal views Tangier has to offer with a visit to the Mnar Park aquatic park.
Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport offers direct flights to major cities such as Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Amsterdam. Booking.com offers a range of accommodation throughout Morocco.
Tangier is off the beaten path for tourists. The old section was busy and the vendors are willing to bargain. It still has an older airport but for the little town they were adequate. The hotel arranged for a larger taxi and the drivers were fluent in French but not so much English. It was a laid back time with no one begging. The city had plain clothed police in the tourist areas but it was kind of cute because they were in plain clothes but had a red arm band stating they were police.

We traveled during Ramadam (on a budget) so most cafes were closed during the day, except those in heavy tourist areas, but this meant less tourists, so all in all a positive experience. The water was turned off in the Medina on two of the four mornings we were there, so I would recommend staying outside the Medina but close to it. Small dars and riads have steep stairs and no elevators so not a great option for everyone, but they have the most charm and hospitality. The Kasbah area is very nice with beautiful views.

Tangier has a special place in my heart!
Tangier has a special place in my heart! I've made so much realisations here. Indeed, a beautiful and warm place with such hospitality can help those people struggling with their mental health to realign their aspirations in life and eventually open themselves up to the rest of the world. I might not have been to a lot of places in Tangier due to short stay, the tranquility of this place helped me a lot more than any of my stay elsewhere. This is not just a holiday for me, it was a precious set of memories amongst a sea of negativities I am facing everyday that I will hold on to, to reach a better place not just for myself, though it seems like a selfish way of indulgence in the eyes of many which they would never understand.
Thank you

I love Tangier, it was the highlight of my stay in Morocco. It was beautiful, I felt like I was in an Indiana Jones movie. The only downside was the parking was not free as advertised in the apartment listing and we had to pay.

Tangier was a great stop on our trip through Morocco.
Tangier was a great stop on our trip through Morocco. We visited the Caves of Hercules and spent most of our time wandering the streets of the medina. Great food and ambiance, with a relaxing chill vibe.
Riad Tingis is in a great location right in the old medina of Tangier. It is close to several shops and restaurants but off a quieter side street. The best part of our stay were the lovely views from the rooftop - right over the mediterranean sea! Our room was comfortable and the bathroom had beautiful tile. We really enjoyed our breakfast each morning. The staff was welcoming and helped to arrange an affordable airport transfer the morning we left Tangier. The riad felt very safe with a security camera system at the front door.
The receptionist really went the extra mile to make our stay in Hôtel Marrakech the best experience posible. He gave us all kind of advice and he even gave me his personal number in case I had any problem. Since he had empty rooms, he upgraded me to a better room free of charge.
The rooms were very big and confortable, and the bathroom was decent for Morocco’s
standarts. The rooftop has extensive views of the ocean and the port area.
I will definetly consider booking here again in the future if I ever come to Tanger.
The location is amazing! It’s in the heart of the medina, right next to the kasbah museum and to the kasbah entrance which is a perfect access by car or taxi with very little walking involved! Lorraine is a very gracious host, I loved hearing about her story. Mohammed has great recommendations and was very nice and kind. Would love to come back!
Pro tip: use careem car service (it’s like uber) for a more comfortable but also cheaper transportation! This applies to anywhere in Morocco ;)
We were thrilled. It was our second hotel in the Tangier Medina and this one was so perfect. Lovely painted rooms, a balcony and rooftop with a view of the sea. Best of all we’re the staff; always smiling and going out of the way to be helpful. Just a minute to restaurants and shops. Easy access from 9 Avril Plaza where there are taxis. You can’t do better than this in this price category.
Dar Yasmine is in the Medina, the old market quarter of Tangier. It is across an alley from the Big Mosque. It is a charming place maybe dating back to the colonial era. There is no elevator and breakfast is served in a rooftop dining room 5 floors up with a view of the waterfront and of Spain in the distance. The small lobby is lovely and really conveys the feel of colonial-era Morocco.
Wonderful hotel with a beautiful marrocan interior in the very heart of the old city. Great friendly staff - the women serving breakfast were extremely sweet with a great sense of hospitality and a beautiful energy ! Nora and her assistant at reception were very nice and helpful, they helped us book excursions and taxis. We definitely recommend!
The best hotel in the medina !!!
This is what a truly great hotel is supposed to be. Staff were there for every detail and were full of grace and joy. The location is perfect and the hotel is beautifully preserved. It’s inside the Medina but they will come get you and your luggage from wherever your driver is parked. And it’s right near the ocean side entrance so a hop to the beach. breakfast was wonderful.
The hotel was exceptional - located in the heart of the old medina, it is truly an oasis. It looks like a beautiful palace, and is decorated like so! Also, the breakfast was exceptional - handmade moroccan breads and sweets with local jams, honey and cheeses accompanied by simply the best moroccan tea. The owners were really nice and warm.
An exceptional experience unfolds as the door opens, revealing the mesmerizing beauty of Tangier’s historic Medina. Every amenity is within easy reach, evoking a sense of stepping back in time. The courteous and attentive staff, particularly Soukaina and Meriam, stand out for their exceptional service and hospitality
Extraordinary staff, one after another. Kind, warm, funny, knowledgeable. Beautiful room. Very happy with location, which is taxi accessible (has parking if you have a car!) but a short walk to the medina and other central sights. A perfect stay in Tangier and a great landing spot for easing into a trip to Morocco.
BREATHTAKING view from the room over the Tangier and Gibraltar hills and ocean. Very comfortable beds. Scrumptious breakfast—possibly the best hotel breakfast I've had yet. EXCEPTIONAL staff - caring, energetic, proactive, take criticism well. Optimally-situated close to shops, restaurants, and the beach.
Plain hotel and location is right above the bus station that cruises drop passengers off. I wasn't informed of the breakfast timings and arrived after 9am for bf, not knowing it's already closed. A nice crew at the kitchen helped me with some coffee and food before I made my wah to tangier city.
The hotel was centrally located to the Medina and other sites. It was very clean and inviting. We spent our last days in Morocco there and was a perfect place to relax and unwind before traveling home. The staff was very kind and helpful as well. We would definitely go back again.
The beds are magical! This was the best sleep we got in Morocco!! The breakfast was quite tasty and the room was absolutely beautiful! The terrace also offers stunning views of Tangier and the coastline. :)
Absolutely exceptional hotel, one of the best I have ever stayed in. Mohammed and the rest of the team were incredible hosts and made me feel very welcome. When you come to Tangier you have to stay here.
Grand old hotel with lots of history. You can ask to see Matisse’s room (if unoccupied) which has been preserved largely as it was. Good terrace overlooking old Tangier. Short walk to the medina.
The location is great, 5 minutes walk to Medina, 8 Minutes walk to Marina Bay. It’s a new hotel, still interior work is going on. Mattress are very nice and firm as everything is new.
The hotel's central location provides easy access to the medina of Tangier, and it's also within walking distance of several cheap cafes and tourist-focused shops.
