Personnel was very friendly and spoke English quite well (also French). The breakfast was good. I was also very happy with the room and the wifi. The hotel is located in the middle of the town of Pisac.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Outside the little garden area was very tranquil and I enjoyed both mornings on the balcony overlooking the mountains. The breakfast was superb and very filling! All the staff were very friendly and kind.

The ruins were expansive and high up.
The ruins were expansive and high up. The 1.5 hour hike down from the ruins was one of the highlights of our trip. We ate at a Pizza place recommended by the hotel. It was great. Did not see a lot of other restaurant options. The town has some cool narrow cobble stone alleys and a nice plaza. We took a collectivo to Cusco on our way out of town. A great, cheap way to travel. Were looking for one up to the ruins but did not find one because we were at the wrong end of the bridge over the river. You need to walk across the bridge to catch the collectivos. One night in town was about right. Ended up in a slightly more expensive taxi for the ride up to the ruins. Would not recommend hiking up to the ruins, only down!MaryEllenUnited States - 10Scored 10

The city itself is small, but very nice, with many good silver and crafts shops, and a fine botanic garden. Pisac is a quiet and chilled out location, that has great little market for breakfast and lots of vegetarian to vegan restaurant's in the evening. Hiking is a must, with easy to follow routes and easy access to the collectivo's to get to other towns.

Such a calm town after the hustle and bustle and traffic of Cusco. !! The archaeological site is the most complete and intact site in the country. Eat at Osteria Antica, just a short walk from the hotel, on the same street. Wood fired oven pizza. Pisac has it's fair share of tourists which has positive and negative aspects. There are great restaurants and lots of shopping. Prices are inflated and sometimes requires haggling. A lady on the Sunday market charged us 3 times what she charged the local for a bowl of soup. It was 15 soles instead of 5. No big deal in principle doesn't feel nice. It was a really quiet place in a good location with great views. The room we had was spacious and very clean, with a lovely balcony and seating area over a small stream looking at trees, we loved it. Staff were friendly and helpful (even Jimmy the Dog) Be aware that this is up the mountain a little, so if you are yet to acclimatise, you may find it a little high, but there is plenty of coca leaf tea available to help (and it really does).

There are also ways to go to Casa Oren on foot. The views are amazing and the house is just beautiful. You can see that all has been well-planned and done with love. Our room was simple, but nice with a little balcony; the bathroom was clean, but the hot water was not hot enough; and the mattress was very comfortable. Daniel is a good host and will address any of your questions or concerns. The bread of the breakfast was great. They even stored our bag while we passed the day.

On the edge of town but very close to the center, this is a quiet and comfortable place that will have you wanting to stay longer! I will absolutely be staying here again on my next visit to Pisac. Taxis were available at the front door and the local bus stopped at the market next door. Our room had a radiator heater that make the room cozy during cold winter nights. Raquel at the front desk allowed us to stay an additional hour after checkout to wait for our taxi to Cusco.

The staff is amazing, they are always inclusive and continuously helpfull. The hostel is situated between majestic mountains and in a quiet area. There is a river trail just by the house, it takes you to a waterfall and eventually to the backside of the ruins. The short walk to the center of Pisac is breathtaking as well.
