Honoured by Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, one of the holiest mosques in Islam, Medina is the 2nd most important Islamic pilgrimage site after Mecca. Surrounded by hills that have seen hundreds of people seek refuge in its oasis, this city has developed a range of modern facilities to host the pilgrims from all over the world.
Formerly named Yathrib, the city is also known as Madīnat an-Nabiy or ‘Prophet’s City’, and it’s also known as Al-Madīnat(u) 'l-Munawwarah or ‘Radiant City’. The Prophet Muhammad came to the city in the 7th century, seeking refuge from his opponents. According to Muslim theology, the last chapters of the Quran were revealed to him here.
The site where the Prophet lived is now occupied by the Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi or ‘Prophet’s Mosque’. Although the mosque has changed and expanded over the years, the green dome is part of the original sanctuary.
Places like the Masjid Quba mosque, the Masjid Al-Qiblatain mosque and the Al-Baqi Cemetery also represent important holy sites in Medina.
Whether you arrive directly at Medina’s Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport or come from Mecca or Riyadh, check out the accommodation deals on Booking.com before travelling.

When your heart is deeply connected to a city like Madina,...
When your heart is deeply connected to a city like Madina, everything around becomes truly amazing. Our souls and hearts remain captivated by the beauty of Madina. The nearby food options around Masjid Nabwi may be average, but taking a stroll to explore different cuisines and savor authentic flavors is truly worth it. It's important to note that driving in Madina has become a bit challenging due to ongoing maintenance work. Unfortunately, Google Maps may not always provide accurate information about the blockages and detours. Nevertheless, the enchantment of Madina continues to captivate us, making every moment spent there truly special.

Wonderful city, peaceful relaxing, spiritual- full of history. Could easily spend a month here relaxing-
Easy transport , superfast trains available ( Harmain )to Jeddah and Mecca.
Lot of historical/religious sites to explore.
The staff were beyond perfect, great hospitality indeed. We waited for minutes to get our room, and in the meanwhile they offered free lunch that has a variety of food and drinks. They also offered Saudi coffee daily delivered to our rooms. The hotel was very close to the mosque, and near to many stores needed like pharmacy and grocery. The food in the hotel is great, which is needed since there are very few restaurants in the area.
The hotel is really nice , it's clean, neat, has top notch services and a variety of great food for breakfast to suit all tastes and different cultural backgrounds. It is also relatively close to the Haram , 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes walking. The hotel rooms are wide and comfortable, and the essential services are all available. I would really recommend this hotel to visitors to Al Madina
I think it's the best hotel in Madinah, regarding the location just less than 2 min to Haram. The room is fully equipped with all amenities needed with high quality. The Breakfast was more than perfect very tasty and varied. The hotel is very clean and the housekeeping is very helpful. Can't wait to be back again.
The breakfast was very high quality and delicious. Best meal I had in Saudi. The location is perfect, and I would say it’s actually the best location compared to all of the other hotels in the area. Very close access to the Rawda entrance. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms. Excellent value
I liked the room and if you are visiting
Al Madinah Al Munawwarah is good option to stay and is nearest to gate 368. Also grocery And restaurant next to hotel, the most I like when I spoke with Ms. Sultan at reception she gave me her adapter for my charger. Very good helping staff
Everything. From the moment we arrived, breakfast, dinner, the buzz, the decor. the reception, the Arabic coffee was amazing. Highly recommended as the best hotel in Madinah. I’ve stayed at most 5 star hotels in Madinah and this trumps them all and should be designated 5 star.
THE HOTEL IS CLEAN AND THERE IS AMPLE CAR PARKING AVAILABLE. JUST OPPOSITE TO THE HOTEL IS MCDONALD AND OTHER RESTURANTS SO NO PROBLEM WITH THE CHOICES AND VARIETY OF FOOD. THE RECEPTIONALIST WERE EXEPTIONALS SPECIALLY THE EGYPTIAN AND OTHER OUR SAUDI STAFF.
very bad front desk experience not professional took us 2 hours to check in at one point the whole front desk employees disappeared for 30 minutes bc nobody had the answer for delayed check in worse experience I have in Saudi Arabia😖
Good location. about 10 minutes walk to Harram and next to Saja Al madinah hotel which is bus stop point for SAPTCO VIP bus. Easy to get cab and taxi to airport.
