The restaurant was very busy so I made a reservation for later in the evening. After getting my table and a drink I had to wait for a very long time to place the order. Long enough for the staff to apologize and they offered the food for free!

With its majestic cathedral as a backdrop, Uppsala is an old and fascinating city lined with tranquil waterways and home to a medieval old town, botanical gardens, and several historical landmarks such as Uppsala Castle.

Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet.
Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet. Easy travel from/to Arlanda airport. Bus(801) is cheaper than train. Short distances almost everywhere in the city. Rentable E-bikes and E-scooters available. English language is widely in use. My experiences are from summertime only. I`ll definately come back again.

Uppsala is one of Sweden's oldest cities and well worth a visit. I had not been for 30 years and was so pleasantly surprised how much there was to do both within the city and just outside the city. It's very walkable and very safe. I loved my visit to the University Library to see the Silver Bible "Codex Argenteus". I also love churches and the Cathedral the biggest in Scandinavia did not disappoint. Gustav Vasa the founder of Modern Sweden is buried here. The botanical garden I am sure is wonderful later in the year when it's all blooming. I ate at the cafe near the gardens called Cafe Victoria and it was excellent. There are lots of eateries and "watering holes" but be mindful alcohol sold in bars and restaurants are very pricey. Use the Systembolaget and get a bottle and have a picnic in the park. Uppsala is a university city so very lively and has easy access to Stockholm should you wish.

The fourth largest city in Sweden.
The fourth largest city in Sweden. A university city that can be compared to Cambridge in the UK. Famous for its cathedral and university campus. Also hosts a very good choice of bars and restaurants. Located 55mins from Stockholm City and only a short train ride from Arlanda Airport.

City I love to visit, very easy for tourists, good shopping and restaurants. Public transport is great, or you can hire a bicycle and get round like the locals.
Clean and safe, lots of history, old city, cathedral and castle. Was once the capital of Sweden.
Very close to nature, easy to get to the old Viking mounds.
Down side, it's expensive,

I actually live here so I only have good things to say about it. The city is big but not too big. Not crowded. Clean. It is beautiful with a lot of historical sites to visit. It is also very interpenetration and it's extremely easy to get around with just english. Public transportation is top notch, but if you have the opportunity to bike instead, do it.
Very clean, easy to reach from train station and extremely helpful staff. We also appreciated the fully equipped studio - we had all the things we needed during our stay of almost one week. Usually hotels in Sweden are clean and comfortable, still this one is at even higher level than what we have encountered so far. To be mentioned also the very fast reply to our inquires and and the support from the staff to adapt to our travel arrangements. Super clear details on how to take the key and how to reach the place.
I didn't have a problem with anything. I'm an older traveller but like the minimum of fuss and good cleanliness, and that's what I got. I can't understand the moans about the showers. If there's an overhead shower you can take it off the hook and use it. Being Sweden I found all guests respectable and they left the showers clean and dry. The water was plentiful and hot, and isn't that all you need.
The property is well situated near the train station and near plenty of buses to get around Uppsala. The rooms are simple but very comfortable. The hotel is quiet with very friendly staff. Breakfast & dinner are included in the price which makes it very reasonable indeed! Great selection at breakfast and simple home-cooked meals at dinner time are provided. Don’t miss Hygge Hour for affordable alcohol!!
This is a simple, clean, comfortable hotel in the far outskirts of Uppsala, where you'll find IKEA and a few other large sports shops etc. I stayed here because it was close to the wedding venue I was going to. I would rather have stayed in town.
Showers and loos in the hallway, also clean and fresh.
If you're looking for an easy, quick stay, this is fair. Buses nearby into town.
Hotel was generally very good. Staff in the hotel were very nice. The room was quite calm. It's good for the rest. For sure, I will come back to this hotel during my next trip to Uppsala.
One more time, thank you to all hotel personnel for their good work and hospitality.
Near the hotel is a fuel station and a lot of shopping centres.
Regular visitor to the hotel and its the best one in the centre of Uppsala for the price, location and facilities in my humble opinion! The staff are consistently excellent and friendly, with a great eye for detail. If you are looking for a central location with superb standards and no stress, then this is the place for you.
We liked the kindness of the hostess very much We got the impression that every detail in this hostel has been thought out and designed with great care and elegance. If we - four pensioners - had any prejudices against hostels, staying in Uppsala dispelled them.
Probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It felt like living in Uppsala. The room had everything I needed and more. Spacious and had everything I needed, including a washer and dryer. The resteraunt next door offers discounts for you as well!
Affordable accommodation close to the city centre. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff at the breakfast were extremely helpful. They went out of their way to provide me with enough vegan options. So, thank you everyone 😊
Location of the hotel is great. It is just 10 minutes walk from the city centre in the quiet Uppsala neigbourhood.
There was free space for the car as well. The flat was clean and comfortable with all essentials for the stay.
A well maintained historical hotel, usually my first choice when I come to Uppsala. Rooms are relatively simple, but beautifully furnished and clean. Very good breakfast. Fast wifi. Great location next to the river.
Nice and clean hotel. Lot's of plants as well. Great location, just at the edge of the city centre. We liked that the beds are quite sturdy, since normally hotel beds are quite soft. Kind staff
Good value for money. Helpful staff in the reception. Check-in was very good. All places felt clean. Parking was easy. Good connection with downtown Uppsala with local bus.
The hotel is extremely close to the station and close to the town center as well. The breakfast had a really good variety, it even had a waffle station :)
