There was a wedding Anniversary which the music went on till 12pm so we couldn’t sleep and when we got up for breakfast there was no one around we found 1 guy who directed us towards the back of the pub but there was next to nothing there we couldn’t get hot food or a coffee.
After going to the desk and asking for help we was told someone was there (The same guy we talked to the first time)
Who clearly didn’t want to do his job so we gave up and left.

The hosts met up on arrival and welcomed us, and gave us the keys. We really enjoyed the apartment, with the entrance facing a beautiful garden and fields! Pet friendly and spacious, the house had a good indoor climate and we found everything we needed in the kitchen! It is close to a bakery, a food market, and the river Drava with it's walking paths that we enjoyed. Just 10 minutes, over bridge to the beuatiful city of Ptuj.

Ptuj is a lovely historic town.
Ptuj is a lovely historic town. There are thermal pools which are a little dated but still very pleasant. The best experience was the visit to the castle. After you buy your ticket you can visit an exhbition about local carnival tradition (Kurenti) and an exhibition showing the production of cotton, silk, linen and wool. Then you can go to the castle which has three floors. You can explore various exhibitions on your own, there are paintings, weapons, furniture, and a lot more. Very nice old town with a pleasant town centre. Easily walkable and nice pedestrianised areas. Quite a few sights to see, easily visitable in one or two days. Good choice of restaurants with lovely local food. We didn't do any cycling but it looks like a great place and area for cycling. The river and local area are interesting for birdwatching. Ptuj (especially city center) is nice, cozy (the oldest in Slovenia) town with rich history to tell, some really interesting bars and all that is reachable on foot. If you like beer, go to Bodi bar, if you like more "indie" scene go to Muzikakafe bar.

Small city, very nice, can see in a day or two. Outdoor cinema at local theater was great. Castle is cool. Terme Ptuj (waterpark) only fair. There is a free bus that can get you from the bus station (across street from train station) to center of city, and to Terme. We walked, but it was a bit warm and we had luggage, so knowing about bus in advance would have been good. Hotel staff had no clue.

we transited only, i passed through ptuj before, remember some bridge and river, some nice old architectiure downtown but nothing extraordinary to consider as tourist destination for more than a 1 night sleepover

Until 2016 a monastery, it was converted in recent years into guest rooms. The protected building from 1510 was lovingly restored, and all rooms are completely modernised. Located between the castle and the main square, it is ideally located to explore the town. Due to the new windows and the thick walls, it is one of the quietest hotels I have ever been. Our host gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel like friends and not mere guests.

Parking was ample, and the host was extremely amicable, even bringing us "krofi" (donuts) one night. The location is an easy (<10 minute walk) to Ptuj, across a pedestrian bridge, which avoids the hassles of driving and parking in the old town. It's also conveniently near to a grocery store and nice restaurant (Pomaranča). The view out the bedroom towards the Ptuj 'Grad' (castle) was gorgeous!

He greeted us upon our arrival and was so accommodating and helpful. The room was large, clean and so comfortable with ample parking on site. This bnb is located in an old monastery that has been renovated so we enjoyed the beautiful woodwork and attention to simple details. The breakfast offered a nice variety of foods. The location was great for my purpose (I went to do the Drava Bike from Ptuj to Ormoz) - the motorway is very close, the staff was extremely nice, they have great food throughout the day (also buffet is available), the room was clean and cosy and they let me leave the car at their place even though I have checked out in the morning. There's a free private parking in the backyard, staff will kindly provide the instructions how to get there. Hotel also provided two free bottles of water in our room. Breakfast might not seem too diverse at first, but it was more than enough for us. The room was small, but it had enough of storage places.
