Such a fun, quirky place - lots of 50’s/60’s memorabilia. Guest clubhouse with large tv, football table and pool table. Laundry facilities.

This is a sleepy town without any real attractions where everything closes early even on weekend nights. However, I can strongly recommend the WildEdge brew pub, both for its beers and the live music (though also closing at 9 pm).
The Canyons of the Ancients and adjacent pueblo ruins North of Cortes are well worth visiting.

A very nice town of about 9000 people, a very clean town with some awesome eateries. Lounging Lizard I highly recommend as well as Beny's Diner for breakfast. Wish I had more time to explore this little gem of a town. Very easy to get around.

Cortez is a cute little town. Friendly people and a variety of restaurants and fast food facilities. Not sure I would avoid any part of Cortez. Close to the 4 Corners attraction as well as Mesa Verde.

Cortez is a convenient location.
Cortez is a convenient location. We went to Mesa Verde National Park, Monument Valley, Canyonlands and Arches National Park, and Telluride from there.
Arches National Park closes for a few hours if too crowded so it's recommended to get there early.

My hubby picked up tacos at a local Mexican restaurant in Cortez and they were quite good. Cortez is a small town, so navigating around town is very easy. Next time, I would most likely look for a cabin in the mountains for lodging.

They put on a great fireworks display!
They put on a great fireworks display! It was awesome to see the locals very appreciative of the display, also.
This town is less than 20 minutes from Mesa Verde National Park.
Not sure if it was the area or the fact that it was the 4th of July but there was more drug & police activity than we are used to(we are from Northern Colorado).
If you need ice for your cooler, don't waste your time going anywhere but to the Safeway and they have very nice cashiers to boot!
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is in a better area of Cortez, the staff was friendly, and while the outside may seem rundown it was one of the nicer interior hotel rooms. I did appreciate that while the hotel was 4-20 friendly they made it so the rooms were not overpowered with the smell. I will continue to come back to this location during my trips and recommend to everyone if I see the next visit that the air conditioning was fixed.
Well-appointed, clean, simple rooms with everything in great working order and nice bathroom-tiled floor made for a comfortable stay. Owners are nice and unassuming. Good place to bring a well-behaved dog! Place is away from fray and near trails with great Mountain views. It reminds me of our childhood vacations out west in traditional motels. 🙏
I loved this hotel and the family suite we stayed in. My family loved it, it was cozy and worth the money spent. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The outdoor pool was luke warm and it was nice to hop into after driving from Los Angeles.
Quirky individual themed rooms with lots of extras like outdoor chess and a games room.
Stephen was very helpful and enthusiastic.
This is a traditional motel with a twist. We loved it.
Breakfast was fine continental style with plenty of choice.
We had a lovely stay! The location was quiet and private, with a big yard and acess to a creek nearby. The house was well equipped, clean and spacious. Tammy was lovely, communicative and very helpful. Would definitely recommend!
The Days Inn gave us a two bedroom apartment that we requested. It's hard to find an affordable two room stay, but that's exactly what the Day Inn had. In addition, it was quiet and clean. The breakfast was also ok.
Of course the photos are beautified, but its a calm relaxing house near the town. Very nice prepared (labels on kitchen cabinet doors), good cool room climate. Dont expect luxury. But we felt very well there.
Was unable to stay. The property was sold and all reservations canceled.
The (former) manager had arranged a room for us at a different motel down the road and they honored our arranged hotel cost.
Location was perfect. Hotel cleanliness was great, the Breakfast staff where fantastic so helpful and nice, the food was good too. Reception staff also fabulous. I wished I was staying longer.
This place is the cutest hotel I have ever stayed at. Adorable retro theme. The clubhouse was so nice. My mom, daughter and I played a few games of pool. So much fun! Breakfast was good also!
Most hotels say they are non smoking. This is the first one that really did not smell of smoke. The lobby was under construction but I see good things happening here and the room was lovely.
If every hotel had a manager like Latrisha it would be 5 star.
She was wonderful is solving a very complicated problem.
Very good location for food and to visit the surrounding sites.
The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance to Mesa Verde and we found the town of Cortez offering all that was needed.. Frankly that are the only positives.
