We love everything about this property, from the location to the people, to the scenery. The price is very affordable, which makes it possible to do other things on your list while visiting. This is our 2nd time staying here and we will be back again for sure! The grounds are kept clean and there are lots of different birds there, if you like birds. There are a couple of geese, husband and wife, (I'm sure). I was happy to see them again when we returned, they seem to live there. There are cardinals, ducks, blue jays, robins, sparrows, sterlings, just to name a few. It's right on the water and the lights are so pretty at night when they light up the water. The scenery is beautiful.

The staff are pretty rude, everything is always locked 24/7, even the front entrance door!! The pool is cold outside and the parking is so dangerous I would not recommend any elderly or children to go there.
The good side is the hotel is clean, tons of staff and the breakfast was delicious. So it depends what you are looking for, but this is not a romantic gateway believe me.

Very much liked the convenience of a bus right outside the hotel that took me into NY in 15 min. Liked the breakfast but very much missed fresh vegetables which were entirely missing. Fruit was nice, but I think salad or fresh veggies are a must, and less fried and sweet options would be healthier.
The room was nice but missing hooks and places to hang towels and other items.

We found the hotel was perfect, the location is awesome.
We found the hotel was perfect, the location is awesome. Right across the street is the 320 which takes you into New York City Port Authority which is only a 5 minute walk to Time Square. The breakfast was good, I have no complaints about it. It's a basic breakfast toast, cereal bagel coffee! The room are amazing and the bed was super comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

I lived there for over two weeks. Everything was fine. If I came to New York next time, I would choose this hotel. Affordable price for an eastern european. I had a room facing the river and beautiful greenery outside the window. I recommend

Good location for visiting friends I had spread across North Jersey. Close to Newark, Meadowlands, Bloomfield. If needed would be easier access to New York City by car or public transit. Nearby restaurants on the Hudson river from Jersey City north to Edgewater are close( Haven, Chart House, Batello). But caveat is that other than shopping nothing to do directly in Secaucus.
I really love the staff’s service! They were so friendly and generous! They were very flexible with the check-in! Everybody greeted us in the morning! I like the sustainable cleaning system that cleaning is available upon customer’s request. We didn’t need to leave the room early! I love the breakfast - hot oatmeal, eggs, and waffles! Staff made a waffle for all the customers! So nice! I also love the location! A bus stop was located right in front of the hotel!
Staying at this hotel was an experience from the moment you walk in. You are greeted by a waterfall and a large open interior where you can see all the way to the top of the hotel. As you look up you can see plants hanging over the rails by every room on every floor.
The room I stayed in had its own living room complete with tv, couch and ottoman. There was a tv in the bedroom also.
Breakfast is included with omelet or waffles cooked to order.
- Perfect location just outside NYC
- Bus into NYC right beside the hotel ( only 15 mins bus drive at $4.25 one way)
- Outback Restaurant connected to the hotel has great food probably the best in the area
- WallMart right beside the hotel
- Staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best they could
- Best experience I’ve had in a hotel before and first time in the U.S
- The rooms were fantastic the beds were really comfy
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was clean and comfortable. We decided to take the train in to the city, however there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The breakfast was decent. The eggs were not very good(I think they are the powder eggs) but they had a nice assortment of cereal, waffles, potatoes, sausage. But we felt the hotel overall was a good value.
I really don't get all the negative reviews about this hotel. It was spotless clean, no "roaches" or spiders, floor was clean (yes, old carpet, but clean), clean sheets, clean bathroom, comfortable pillows, huge bed. I was terrified by the reviews and was ready to make a fuss about the service, but everything was amazing. Oh, cleaning service.every.day.
The hotel room felt more like a studio apartment versus a standard room. The room was cozy, warm, and comfortable during my stay at Hyatt Place. The continental breakfast, by far, was exceptional. The hotel was within walking distance of my favorite restaurants, including a Walmart and a Sam’s Club near our hotel, making our stay more comfortable.
We loved our stay, room was big, with two big double beds, excellent shower, tv and fridge. Staff were helpful and lots or coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Only mild complaint is you need a taxi to get to the train station, although there are buses direct into NYC from right behind the hotel. Would definitely stay again
Regarding liking the location is very good as bus stop is very near and all the shopping stores like WALL MART and other stores are very near to this hotel.
Regarding breakfast This is not good as every hotel has more then what they kept no fruits no juices, no egg. Only they kept small muffin and biscuit and coffee.

the location was suburb a bus outside the hotel ran 24 hours in to the heart of New York city, the staff very helpful and always seem to have time for you, plus the hotel rooms were clean and quiet from other rooms
The garden/plaza at the back is very accessible to restaurants and very quiet -nice to hang out. Location is near train station to NYC. Room is big with kitchen and bathroom is nicely renovated. Hotel is clean.
Aesthetics were pleasing but that's pretty much where it ended. The staff was accommodating, understanding, but lackluster and to be understood because it's clear that hotel is not being managed well.
