From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by this place and the hospitality. The owner Justin greeted us warmly with a handshake, checked us in, and personally gave us a detailed tour of our room and all its amenities. The room is spacious, extremely well-appointed, and very comfortable, with a gorgeous view. The grounds and surrounds are stunning, especially the beautifully serene pool area. Everything has been clearly well thought out -- an excellently managed place. We don't normally dine at our accommodations, but we made an exception here, and we were very glad we did -- the food was top notch. Breakfast was also really wonderful. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Oude Compagnies Post is outstanding and the cherry on the cake. Definitely the highlight of our visit to Tulbagh, excellent wine and a knowledgeable, educated and well informed host. Not to be missed. Daphne is also highly recommended as our restaurant of choice. A beautiful hiking route with a swimming pool, which is shallow enough for non swimmers is also available on Oude Compagnies Post.

We arrived on Good Friday of the Easter weekend and settled into our accommodation at Eikelaan Farm Cottages. Saturday was spent getting to know the history of Tulbagh at the Earthquake museum, old church & cemetery, and wandering down Church street admiring the restored old buildings. Rijk’s Wine estate just outside of town for lunch, and Daphne’s for dinner. Sunday we enjoyed lunch at The Tulbagh Boutique Hotel at their Olive Bistro restaurant. Great food & wine.

We loved the wine farms and visited several. The Valentine's Day dinner at Manley wine estate was excellent and the Tulbagh Hotel dinner was very good. The museums in the historic street are really interesting It is an easy area to get around, albeit always by car. We would avoid staying in such rustic accommodation and choose a wine farm instead

Could have stayed for a week instead of a weekend. Fabulous staff at the Cape Dutch Quarter Hotel, such an eclectic mix of Georgian & old Cape Dutch buildings .....all connected by peaceful gardens & even a lovely pool. Our room was self catering but with so many great eateries/vineyards we didn't bother cooking ourselves!!!! Highly recommend

We expected to browse around small shops, but there were none. The most exciting shop was a Second hand store. Beautiful buildings, but that's about it. We went on a Wednesday and Thursday. Maybe weekends are better? Went to Saronsberg Winery, which was lovely. Perhaps to venture outside Tulbach is the way to go.

Amazing place in the Tulbagh area. Perfect place to unwind, just enjoy the view and nature or explore the area. The cottages are very spacious and tastefully furnished. The bed was a dream and you could feel the personal touches everywhere. There are great wine farms around to visit. We also enjoyed the 5 km hike on the farm. The thing that makes this place extra special are all the people who run it. We would have loved to stay longer and will certainly stay there again if we get back to Tulbagh.

This is a guest house we can recommend to any person looking for accommodation in Tulbagh. It is located in a quiet street but within easy walking distance to every tourist attraction and restaurant. The manager, owner and other staff are top class. The manager herself makes all the breakfasts and seeing that she is a chef, it is restaurant quality and served in a wonderful huge "farm" kitchen where you all sit around this massive wood table it makes for a great experience.

We booked a couple nights as we needed a location near to a venue for family friends wedding. The pricing was incredibly reasonable for the time of year and when we we arrived we were blown away by how stunning the house really was. Everything was spick and span, there were complementary fruit and eggs etc as it is located on a working farm. Furthermore our hosts were very gracious and welcoming. I would highly recommend L'Bloom to anyone looking for accomodation in Tulbagh

What an incredible little escape. The cottages are hidden away at the back of the vineyard with their own little private patios that overlook GORGEOUS vineyards and valley mountains. The cottage was filled with surprises from a bottle of wine, to coffee pods, to milk and cookies.. olive oil and spices. SUCH great touches. If you are looking for a little escape THIS IS IT. so much to do in Tulbagh! I will most definitely be back… thank you !!!!!

The beautifully high thatched roof bungalow was lovely and cool inside and we loved the stunning mountain views and the peace and quiet of the place. It had a beautiful big bathroom and main bedroom and we loved the African decor. It was lovely to stay on a working wine farm, where we were offered a free wine tasting, a free bottle of wine and the winemaker Andri gave us a tour of the cellar , sharing her passion for wine.

The accommodations are set in a lovely wine estate outside of Tulbagh. It was off the road, so quiet, with room to roam the grape vines, and walk around. We were near a lovely swimming pool, but didn’t swim as the weather was cool. Included in our accommodation was a wonderful breakfast, with great options, beautifully presented. A wine tasting was available in the mid-afternoon.

Great cottage. Lovely spacious bedroom, plush bed. Views. Quiet. Welcoming but private.  Small farm stall on the property a neat plus.  5min drive to town, restaurants and good wine farms. Loved it.  (Just a couple of chunky farm-made rusks, for those a little unprepared, would've been the gold star :))
