The hosts are absolutely superb! You can see that they deeply care about their guests and go out of their way to make you feel like you are part of the family. This was one of the best Homestays I have ever experienced.

The pictures really do not capture the scenic beauty of the golf course, houses in the distance, and glimpse of the horizon and ocean. The view is jaw-droppingly good, and I have stay in plenty of condos along the coast as well in my travels to Ballito for business. The suite itself is just as beautiful as what you see. I was travelling alone, but I could very well see myself returning on holiday with my partner. It was very spacious and VERY clean. They also stocked the loft with doom, but I never had to use it because there were not insects either. The loft is truly self-catering as there are plenty of amenities and utensils, so a longer stay would definitely be possible for me, personally. The star of the establishment has to be the ACs, back-up water, and back-up power, however. The water never went off from what I heard from my hosts, but the power regularly went out. The generator that they have is massive (they showed me – it is the size of a taxi), and would start up every time that the power went out. There were only seconds to a minute when the AC would dip, but it always came back on which is especially necessary with this disgusting humidity. Speaking of which, the wifi surprisingly never went out either even though the fibre in the area had. It was truly amazing. I did not see that it was advertised, but they also have back-up satellite wifi as well for when the fibre goes down. The thing that stands out to me the most at this property was just the attention to detail. Nothing broke, nothing was missing, and multiple aspects exceeded my expectations. The suite is in a beautiful golf estate and not too far from the beach, however, I could not really get around without a car. The rest of the house and property is extremely well-kept as far as I can see. I definitely know where I will be revisiting in the area. NOTHING compares IMO. If you want a private 5 star suite but do not want to stay in a big hotel, then I definitely recommend 31 Fuschia!
