Dating back to 1894 this imposing Victorian Country House is set in a beautiful location directly on the foreshore with views over the sea. All the bedrooms are designed in both modern and traditional styles with flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. The en suite shower rooms have complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. This was the highlight of our Scottish road trip! Kiltearn House was in an idyllic location - peaceful, beautiful surroundings, and a touch of luxury for the weary traveller! Our hosts were most helpful, and supplied everything we needed, including a sumptuous breakfast!

Situated in the hamlet of Skye of Curr in the Scottish Highlands, the Tigh na Sgiath Country House Hotel is 30 miles from Inverness. Guests can avail of free parking and can enjoy outdoors activities such as fishing, bird watching and walking. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. The location was excellent and we were surrounded by beautiful nature. The house itself was also very cute! We had quite a few options to choose from for breakfast and the kipper and the porridge were both very delicious!

Glengarry Castle offers roaring log fires, spectacular views, and beautiful gardens. Our stay at Glengarry Castle Hotel was an absolute pleasure. The room was large and light and the design of the interior is pretty similar to those gorgeous room scenes like from Downton Abbey:) In Glengarry you really feel the ambience of older times but also you have the amenities of modern days. Breakfast was perfect as well! And the library is a dream. If we are in Scotland again we will definitely book a stay at Glengarry Castle.
